	Colman's Mustard Enamel Sign S143 Original, quality 1920's, enamel advertising sign in mint, unused condition detailing "Eat Colman's Mustard with Our Noted Cooked Meats, Pies etc and Enjoy Them More" in blue and red on white background with a red outer edge, also printed to the lower right corner "1/3 Owners Colman". The sign has six screw holes for mounting, but has never been fixed up in use, for it truely is in mint condition, with full gloss and no rubs, scratches or chips to be seen. 22" x 14". Colman's Mustard Enamel Sign S142 Original, quality 1920's, enamel advertising sign detailing "Eat Colman's Mustard with Our Prime Beef, Mutton etc and Enjoy Them More" in yellow and red on white upper cased text, on a Royal blue background and a yellow outer edge. Some very minor scatches and chips to the fixing holes on the right hand side and lower right corner, but really brilliant colours never the less. This example has six screw holes for mounting and the reverse shows good, enamel drip marks and only surface rust here and there. Complete and in good order. 22" x 14". 	Dewar's Whisky Enamel Sign S136 Original, quality enamel advert, circa 1900, quite an early and heavy enamel sign detailing in bold blue letters "Dewar's Whisky" and with "Perth" and a thistle in red (the Perth in this instance is of course in Scotland the home of Whisky manufacturers). Also detailed to the lower right corner "Permanent 139 Fleet Street" for the manufacturer and a logo "FIC" to the lower left corner. A bright clean sign with chipping mainly to the edges and the top right hand fixing hole missing otherwise complete an in good order. 30" x 16". Click on photo for larger and other views. Spillers Osoko Enamel Sign S135 Original, quality pre war, enamel sign advertising "Spillers Osoko for all dogs" in yellow block text on a green background and printed in black to the lower right corner "Printed in England". 	Liverpool Victoria Insurance Enamel Plaque S133 Original, quality, pre war enamel sign detailing "Liverpool Victoria Insurance Offices" in blue upper case on a pale yellow background. Jone's Sewing Machine Enamel Sign S132 Original, quality double sided enamel sign, circa 1910 advertising "Jone's Sewing Machines", "Makers by Royal Warrant to her Majesty the Queen". The detail of the sign is a simulated wax seal with a ribbon and bow above, all in red on a white background. Two hanging holes are to the top for fixing from a sign bracket and although there are edge chips to the enamel this sign is complete, bright and clean in condition, with one side a little faded compared to the other. 	Ingersoll Watches Enamel Sign S131 Original, quality, 1920's/30's, double sided enamel advert with white text on black, detailing 'Ingersoll Watches 5/- to 10/6' on both sides. Also, in small print to the lower corner, 'The General Sign Co Ltd, Hackney N.I.' for the manufacturer. Some very minor edge chips and a small blemish on the 'G' on one side and the 'S' on the other. Simonds Hop Leaf Enamel Sign S129 Original, quality, 1930's enamel advert in the shape of a Hop Leaf detailing "The Hop Leaf" in black on white beneath a black and red Hop Leaf with "Trade Mark". This sign for Simonds Brewery of Reading in Berkshire has six screw holes for mounting and apart from a few minor chips to the enamel is a super clean and bright sign. 	Kodak Enamel Sign S127 Original, quality, unsued 1930's double sided enamel advert in mint condition and with the orginal hanging hooks to the top. This sign is in outstanding condition and details white text on black background to both sides "All Kodak Supplies" and to one side only, to the lower edge "Burton Palmers Green" for the manufacturer and "The property of Kodak Ltd, Kings Way London England". Lyons' Tea Enamel Sign S108 Original, quality, pre-war, double sided, enamel advertising sign with a flange for wall mounting 'bus stop fashion'. This very clean example details 'Lyons' Tea Sold Here', in white letters which have an orange border on a dark blue background with an orange outer border. Some minor chips to the outer edge, otherwise in superb condition and complete. 18" x 12" and 2" flange. Another identical sign may be available, reference code S124. 	Craven A Enamel Advert S107 Original, quality, bright and clean, 1920's, enamel advertising sign, detailing 'For Your Throat's Sake - Smoke Craven "A"'. The black text and the larger red text is on a yellow background with borders of deep yellow, orange, red and black. The other black border has twenty screw holes for mounting and, apart from minor edge chipping and one chip above the large red 'R', all is in superb condition and complete. 90" x 18". A & J Main Enamel Sign S101 Original, quality, pre-war, manufacturer's enamel name plate in a horizontal diamond shape, with black text on white detailing 'Manufactured by A & J Main & Co Ltd, Glasgow & London', a manufacturer of agricultural buildings, etc. Some surface damage, mainly to the right hand side between 'Co' and 'Ltd', otherwise a clean bright sign with four screw holes for mounting. 30.5" x 13.5". 	St Julien Tobacco Enamel Sign S97 Original, quality, 1920's enamel advertising sign, detailing 'St Julien Tobacco Empire Blend', in yellow on red and blue letters on a dark blue background and to the centre a pictorial of the tobacco packet. Although there is damage to the enamel around the screw holes, the packet is perfect and the sign, generally, is in super condition and very bright and shiney. 36" x 24". Barnes and Co Estate Agents Enamel Sign S93 Original, quality, pre-war, double sided enamel advertising sign, detailing 'For Sale apply Barnes and Co Estate Agents Newbury, Tel 1218'. This example has a flange for wall mounting 'bus stop' style. One side is bright and clean with just one blemish, the other, although still bright and readable, has some staining and spot damage. 14" x 12" and 1.5" flange. 	Perth Dye Works Enamel Sign S92 Original, quality, late 19th Century, double sided enamel advertising sign, detailing 'Agent for the Perth Dye Works' to one side and 'Agent for P and P Cambell Dyers Perth' to the other, with the date code for 1892. This sign would have been mounted 'bus stop' style, on a wrought iron bracket. A bright clean sign, but with damage around the top mounting hole on both sides and overall to one side only. Watson's Matchless Cleanser Enamel Sign S91 Original, quality, late 19th Century, double sided enamel advertising sign, originally from within a chair back of an all wooden chair, intended to be used in the grocer's or ironmonger's shop for customers use. A bright and glossy, blue and white enamel ad, detailing 'Watson's Matchless Cleanser is the Best Soap for All Purposes'. Some damage to the enamel at two corners, some other minor chips and one to the inner detail between 'The' and 'Best', but otherwise a great sign. Top 13", base 11.5" and 14" high. 	Woodbine Enamel Sign S36 Original quality, 1940/50's, yellow enamel advertising sign for 'Woodbine The Great Little Cigarette'. In amazing condition, with only a few tiny chips. Colman's Starch Enamel Sign S35 Original quality, 1920's, enamel advertisement for Colman's Starch, with dark blue letters and borders on white. This sign is truely shiny and bright and has spent most of its life away from the weather. Some chips to the enamel, mainly on the border, and two that just creep into the white area. 	White May & Royal Standard Lamp Oil Enamel Sign S29 Original quality, 1920's, double sided, brightly coloured enamel advertisement for 'BP White May & Royal Standard Lamp Oils', with a flange for wall mounting. The sign is very clean, a little bent, and has only two areas of damage to the enamel. An inch or so area is missing on the 'T' of 'Standard' to one side and a larger area is missing from the same spot on the other side, otherwise all is complete and in good order. 12" x 18", 1.5" flange. Boots Ceramic Dish, 2 Available A50 Original, quality 1960's, squared circular ceramic dish in pale blue, with a gold line to the top and "Boots" for the chemist in each corner. The reverse is transfer printed in red "Wade PDM England" for the manufacturer. Could be an ashtry, change slope for the counter or a pin tray for the desk. 	Wills's Capstan Glass Sign A49 Original, quality 1940's/50's, glass advertising sign with a chromed frame and chromed hanging chains. This sign is made using two sheets of glass with black paint to the reverse of the front clear glass with cut out letters and mounted on a sheet of white glass. The details in upper case are "Wills's Capstan" (cigarettes), much blemishing to the black paintwork but a good clean advert otherwise. 30" x 10" x 0.75". Click on photo for larger and other views. 	Coronation Cheerio Card Advert A42 Original, quality, card advert issued in 1937 to advertise a bottled drink manufactured to commemorate the coronation of King George VI. A bright, clean card with the original red hanging loop to the top and detailing "Cheerio a Kingly Drink a Non-Alcoholic Champagne" and with the monogram for the King GR VI. Pratts Petrol Coaster A41 Original, quality, 1920's circular copper bottle coaster, embossed to the centre with "Pratts Perfection Spirit Petrol Can" and stamped to the outside "Made in England", "Solid Copper" and "J.S & S" for the manufacturer 'Joseph Sankey and Sons of Bilston near Birmingham'. 	Cotton Cycle Display Cabinet A40 Original, quality, late 19th Century, glazed front wall cabinet by 'Horrockses Miller and Co, Preston', containing a cotton display with 13 items, all various stages of processing from raw to finished. Signwritten to the top front of the cabinet for the cotton processer and with an original labelled packet to the centre. The cabinet has been repainted, but not the name details and all is complete and in superb order. A very clean, bright advertising item. 23" x 19" x 3.75". Click on photo for larger and other views. Macfarlane Lang Biscuits Booklet A40 Original, early 1930's, printed brochure with forty-two pages of pictures and five pages of text, detailing the history of "Macfarlane Lang and Co Ltd" and mainly the move to the new factory and offices, built at Osterley Park, Middlesex. Great views of the factory in production and staff facilities and offices, etc. A super history document in super condition and complete. 10.25" x 7". Click on photo for larger and other views. 	Atlas Lamps Change Slope A34 Original, quality, 1950's/60's, moulded glass counter top, shop change slope, advertising "Atlas" lamp bulbs. The details are "Get lamps you can rely on- get Atlas lamps they're 8-way tested". A little damage to the paint on the underside but not affecting the main pictorial panel and one edge chip to the bottom back, otherwise complete and in good order. The Reason Manufacturing Co Brass Figure A32 Original, quality, 1920's brass figure advertising "The Reason Manufacturing Co Ltd of Lewis Road, Brighton". The female figure dressed in a toga style of outfit is holding what could be an early 'Ediswan' type pointed electric light bulb and stands on a circular plinth, before a large circular disc, perhaps simulating to a large gong? This gong is detailed to the front for "The Reason Manufacturing Co Ltd of Lewis Road, Brighton " and to the reverse "Electrolytic Meters, Prepayment Meters and Midget Meters, Arc Lamps, Fireboxes, Demand Indicators, Time Switches and Street Lighting Fittings." The circular plinth is also detailed "Inventions exploited and perfected". An unusual item, the first we have seen and all in the old bronzed finish. Complete and in good order. 	GKN Screw Display A30 Original, quality, trade display board of hooks, bolts and screws etc for the manufacturer 'Guest Keen & Nettlefolds Ltd', circa 1900. The full name and trade mark are impressed into the face of the oak frame. This glazed cabinet contains hundreds of items, laid out in an artistic fashion, the items were a representation of goods manufactured by 'GKN'. Eight items were missing and we have now fitted these as best we can, the green interior backboard is rather scruffy, a replacement external rear backing board has been renewed and now all is complete and in good order. 33.5" high, 28.5" wide and 2.25" front to back. Whebar Card Advert A27 Original, quality, pre-war, shop hanging card advert for "Whebar Feeding Meal", in off white on red. Complete with the original hanging string loop. Unused and complete and in good order. 14.5" x 5.5". Click on photo for larger and other views. Price: £30.00


	W.Cowan Matchstriker MS21 Original, quality, late 19th century, off white, coloured circular shaped, stoneware matchstriker, transfer decorated to the top "W.Cowan Ltd, Distillers, Belfast" and with two transfer cameo's of Cowan's trade marks for 'Special Scotch Whiskey' and for 'Old Irish Whisky'. Minor discolouration to the underside and an edge knock to the inner rim. Matchstrikers like this were used on a pub or shop counter and filled with matches which were struck on the rough exterior body. All is complete and in good and working order. 4.25" x 2". 	BP Motor Spirit Ash Tray M64 Original, quality, pre-war, pressed brass ash tray with embossed detail 'BP' and 'Motor Spirit' to the outer edge, and with four cigarette grooves.
