Reeves Seed Drill AT8* Original quality hand pushed seed drill, circa 1900/1920's; used for sowing cereal and grass seeds on a small scale. The wooden hopper is mounted on an iron axle with a pair of cast iron spoked wheels, all beneath wrought iron shafts with turned wooden handgrips. The seed dispenser is adjustable and the seeds are pushed out with the rotating brush turned by the axle. The original cast iron maker's plate is mounted to the lid of the hopper and details 'R & J Reeves & Son Ltd Bratton Wiltshire'. All has been repainted blue and red some while ago and is complete and in good order and would probably work if required. Wheels diameter 15.5" , length 48" and axle 26". Bentwood Bushel Measure M48* Original quality bentwood bushel corn measure, circa 1900, with wrought iron straps, rims and side handles. The bottom has been replaced with an oak panel as the original was in very poor condition and the worm to the sidewalls has been well treated. All has been cleaned and refinished and apart from a few minor splits, all is complete and in good order. A good clean custom and excise mark is branded to the outside top of the front and details "ER" beneath a King's crown for King Edward VII, 1901 to 1910, over "4", over "LCC" for London County Council and "Bushel".
