Set of six matching, original, quality brass 'gothic' style ring handles for cupboard doors or drawers, originally from a suite of bedroom furniture, circa 1880. These examples have a diamond mounted backplate with four screw holes for mounting and a central drop ring handle. Polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. All are complete and in good order. Backplates 1.25" x 1.25", total 1.5" tall + 0.5" front to back. Price is for the set. Others matching but of different sizes may well be available codes CK283 and CK284 and CK230.

Copeland Chamberpot CP33
Original, quality, late 19th Century, cream coloured chamberpot with sepia decoration in the Aesthetic Movement style. The main body has two cameo pictures, one of a temple overlooking a river and the other of a church in a town square, both with oriental figures. Other decorations include two pairs of flying cranes, two scrolls of fruit blossom and flowers to the handle and top rim. The underside is embossed with a registration lozenge mark for the year '1882' and impressed for the manufacturer 'Copeland'. Complete and in good order. 5.25" tall, 9.75" top diameter and 11.5" wide including side handle.

Pair of original, quality 1920's copper and brass candlesticks, designed by W.A.S Benson, in the typical Arts and Crafts form from this designer. These are not stamped for this maker but have all the other signs and were originally nickel plated. The slender turned stems are mounted with a simple tripod base and mounted to the top with a cast brass candle sconce surrounded, by five leaf like petals in sheet copper. Polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and complete and in good and working order. 6.5" tall and 6.5" base diam spreads of feet.

Copper and Wrought Iron Cakestand CS4
Original, quality, late 19th century, wrought iron and copper three tier cakestand stamped to the underside "Acanthus" for the pattern, "Townshend and Co" for the maker and with the registration number for the year 1891. This super example has three copper trays graduated in size and shape all with a rolled wavy outer gallery and an overall impressed abstract pattern. The larger lower tray is circular, the middle kidney shape and the upper a small oval. The blacksmith made wrought iron stand has three legs with curled over feet, twisted supports and decoration and a basket grip handle to the top. All has been cleaned / polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. A most unusual cakestand in the Arts and Crafts style. 34" tall, 18" widest and 16" front to back.

Pair of original, quality 1920's, large cast pink brass, octagonal shaped door pull knobs, these will not turn a lock or latch, only pull the door closed. Impressed to the back in script for the manufacturer "Kayes Leeds". These superb examples have a flat front to the design, matching backplates and a good large dome headed brass threaded bolt and steel washer for mounting. Some minor pitting overall, however complete and in good and working order. Backplate 3.75" diameter, knob 2.75" diameter, total 3" front to back.

Original, quality 1920's / 30's, exterior electric bell push with a horizonal rectangular shaped copper backplate in the original bronze finish with four countersunk screw holes for mounting and a central white ceramic push button detailing "Press" in black upper cased text. For use with a 12 volt, low voltage electric supply system. Other parts required to operate this system are usually available in stock and many other bell fittings of differing types may also be available. This example has an Arts and Crafts feel about it and can be polished to the copper if required. The press detail is rather worn, but otherwise all is complete and in good and working order. Backplate 5.5" x 2.5" and 1.5" x 0.75" to be recessed.

Original, quality, late 19th century, engraved brass door fingerplates. Impressed "Elsley's" to the reverse for the manufacturer and embossed to the front with the registration number for the year 1888. These shaped fingerplates each have four screw holes for mounting and super engraved designs of acanthus leaves on a the central larger panel and short panels beneath and above. A truely serious Arts and Crafts design by this known maker and what a run! Polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. Complete and in good order. 11 are marked "Elsley's" and with the registration number, but 7 are not. 10.75" x 3.25". Price is for each.

Original, quality 1920's Art and Crafts onion shaped vaseline glass light shade with vertical stripes, probably manufacturer by Powell of Whitefriars glass. This shade has been fitted with a brass, lantern shaped shade holder and a replacement brass ceiling rose, both with olive grip fitting. Has been rewired with modern three core silk covered flex and a new brass UK bulb holder. The brass has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost, fully overhauled and is complete and in good and working order. A serious Arts and Crafts shade very difficult to find these days and perfect. Glass shade only 6.5" x 4.5" and 3.25" top rim. With shade holder 9" tall, rose 1.5" tall.

Original, quality, 1920's, copper ice bucket with an enamelled white interior to the bucket, brass side handles and a knob turned in cow horn to the lid. The underside of the handles and the inner rim of the lid are impressed 'W.A.S Benson Patent'. One small dent to the top rim otherwise all is in superb order. This is only the second we have seen. The underside is stamped for "Benson" with the logo of three hammers in a shield, "British Made" and "WASB". This form of potstand would be used on the bars of a kitchen range or fire front to keep a pot or kettle warm rather than used for cooking. Original, quality surface mounted nickel door lock circa 1900, with the original keep and drop ring handle, a replacement key cut to fit and an oval nickel door knob to suit, this lock has the provision for a handle turn and a key lock. This superb lock and keep has a decorative flange all round with a pierced design of hearts and the lock has six screw holes for mounting and the keep has four. The lock fore end is impressed for the manufacturer " George Wragge Manchester ". A most unusual lock. All has been fully overhauled and has been cleaned and lacquered. All is complete and in good and working order. Lock 7" x 6.25" tall and 1" front to back. Keep 1.75" x 6.25" tall and 1" front to back. Price is for the set.

This larger than average tile is one of a set of 12 produced by Mintons and designed by J Moyr Smith depicting various scenes from Sir Walter Scott's novels, this one entitled "Fair Maid of Perth" and the scene "Bonthron Accuses Rothsay". This example is stamped to the reverse for the manufacturer "James Dixon and Sons of Sheffield" and engraved to the front centre "Presented to Hilton Grundy Esq. As a token of esteem from his old boys Oct 1923." The exaggerated shape has a pie crust rim, two handgrip recesses and an overall chiselled decoration. The plating is rubbed in places but not badly and the underside has not been cleaned or polished. A stunning tray, in good working order. 19.5" x 26" and 1.5" front to back.
