	Cast Iron Door Porter DP35 Original quality, late 19th century, cast iron door porter with acanthus leaf decoration on a cluster column with a ring shaped hand grip to the top. A very feint impressed model number can be seen on the reverse it could be '753'. All has been repainted and is complete and in good order. 14.5" tall, base 5.5" and 3.25" front to back. Near Pair of Cast Iron Door Porters DP31 Near pair of original, 19th century, cast iron door porters (door stops) of a gothic design with acanthus leaves. These are identical but one has '472' impressed to the reverse and was probably manufactured by Coalbrookdale and the other is marked '29' and 'Baldwin' for the manufacturer. 	Coalbrookdale Cast Iron Door Porter DP20 Original quality, 19th century, decorative cast iron door porter, of a form incorporating acanthus and other leaves and a central flower motif. Impressed indistinctly to the reverse 'C' Dale & Co 25' for the maker and the model number. Has been cleaned and repainted and is complete and in good order. 18" x 7" x 3" front to back. Cast Iron Mantel Ornament MO18* Original quality, late 19th century, cast iron mantel ornament in the form of a Victorian gent with a dog on a lead. This man is said to be 'Robson Weallans' a solicitor from Sunderland but it may of course be Bill Sykes and his bull mastiff from Dickens' 'Oliver Twist' The reverse is impressed 'Designed by J.G Cowley'. Prancing Horse Brass Mantel Ornament MO16* Original quality, late 19th century, cast brass mantel ornament in the form of a prancing horse with a girth strap on, mounted on a rectangular shaped plinth. 	Pair of Cast Iron Mantel Ornaments MO15* Pair of original quality, late 19th century, cast iron mantel ornaments with both a left and a right handed version of a uniformed soldier mounted on a charging horse. The uniform resembles those worn in the Crimean War, so these ornaments may depict the famous Charge of the Light Brigade at the Battle of Balaclava in 1854. Both are embossed to the reverse with the registration number for the year 1894, 40 years after the battle. These have been cleaned and finished in a coat of clear lacquer. The one facing to the left did have an old repair using a rivetted section of iron plate, now removed and a new weld repair has been made to the reverse being barely visible from the front. Both are now complete and in good order, an impressive pair of castings. Base 12.5", height 9.25" and 2" front to back. Price is for the pair. Click on photo for larger and other views.
