Doulton Tabacco Jar T18 Original, quality 1920's, two tone salt glazed tobacco jar, with the original lid and brass screw down locking tab. This larger than average jar has applied decorations in the form of a horse and rider, with thirteen hounds chasing a stag to the lower half and scenes of gents in various drinking and smoking scenes. A good impressed mark to the underside and "X5353". The circular lid still retaining its rubber seal, has a chip to the inner rim and a couple of minor glazing chips to the top rim, otherwise all is complete and in good order. Doulton Salt Glazed Ale Mug M101 Original, quality, late 19th Century, two tone, salt glazed, one pint ale mug decorated with three applied scenes of gentlemen smoking and drinking and a scene of a rider on horseback, blowing a horn with seven hounds chasing a stag. The underside is impressed 'Doulton Lambeth England' for the maker and '1947' code number. This example is fitted with a silver plated band to the rim, stamped for Mappin and Webb and engraved 'P. J. Doulton 3 Handled Mug M61 Original, quality, late 19th Century glazed stoneware tyg, with figures in relief of a stag hunting scene to the lower parts and various tavern scenes of people drinking to the upper. The three handles are in the form of hounds and the top rim has been dipped in a darker ochre brown glaze. The underside is impressed 'Doulton & Co Ltd Lambeth', and all is perfect with not a chip nor crack in sight. Set of 5 Doulton Harvest Jugs J35 Set of five original quality two tone, glazed harvest jugs in graduated sizes, manufactured by Doulton & Co Lambeth and all impressed to the front 'Mr and Mrs Dunn June 11th 1905'. Each jug is two tone with dark glaze to the upper half and buff coloured to the lower and all are decorated with applied reliefs of gents drinking and smoking and of a horse with a rider and hounds chasing a stag. All are complete and the largest and smallest are perfect but the other three do have some damage which does not detract from their appearance. The largest of the three with some damage has a star crack to the front, hardly visible. The second has a chip and short hairline to the top rim and a horizontal hairline to the front and the third has chips to the rim only. All the decoration and the glaze otherwise is perfect, sharp and bright. The underside is impressed with an oval mark detailing 'Doulton & Co Lambeth'. Doulton 1902 Coronation Mug CC84 Original, quality, tapered ceramic mug, with a side loop handle and decorated with transfer pictures of King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra. Issued to commemorate the Coronation in 1902. The sepia coloured lion with shield details "Coronation of King Edward the VII, June 26th 1902", the underside has the green printed 'Royal Doulton, England' trade mark and the registration number for the year 1902. Doulton Gladstone Jug CC65 Original, quality, buff coloured, glazed stoneware jug, with a rear loop handle, a pouring lip and a coffee brown glazed top and base reeded trim. The front is transfer printed in upper cased Art Nouveau type style, around a cameo of Gladstone and the text details: 'England's Great Commoner, William Ewart Gladstone' and 'Effort, Honest Reflective Action, Manful, Humble upon Character, Effort - Suceeds better than by it's Sucess'. Doulton Chamberpot CP34 Original, quality, circa 1900/1920's, white ceramic chamberpot decorated with green and yellow designs of flowers to the upper half, including passion flowers and paisley type leaves and flowers to the lower section. The handle is deep green, as is a band around the centre of the pot and the underside is marked "Doulton Burslem England" and "Beverley" for the pattern. All is complete and in good order. Doulton Improved Footwarmer FW46 Original, quality, late 19th century, smaller than average 'Doulton's' footwarmer, with the original brown screw in stopper to the top, a brown finished knob grip to the front and with transfer decoration all over. Both the sides detail "Doulton's Improved Foot Warmer" and "Lambeth Pottery, London" in ribbon swags and acanthus leaves to the top surrounding the stopper. The stopper is also impressed for "Doulton" and the body is impressed "1 1/2" for the size, one and a half pints. Most exciting of all the front detailed in an oval shape with "Agent George Mence Smith, Southwark Street, London" and at all his various branch establishments.
