	Barnes and Co Estate Agents Enamel Sign S93 Original, quality, pre-war, double sided enamel advertising sign, detailing 'For Sale apply Barnes and Co Estate Agents Newbury, Tel 1218'. This example has a flange for wall mounting 'bus stop' style. One side is bright and clean with just one blemish, the other, although still bright and readable, has some staining and spot damage. 14" x 12" and 1.5" flange. Perth Dye Works Enamel Sign S92 Original, quality, late 19th Century, double sided enamel advertising sign, detailing 'Agent for the Perth Dye Works' to one side and 'Agent for P and P Cambell Dyers Perth' to the other, with the date code for 1892. This sign would have been mounted 'bus stop' style, on a wrought iron bracket. A bright clean sign, but with damage around the top mounting hole on both sides and overall to one side only. 	Watson's Matchless Cleanser Enamel Sign S91 Original, quality, late 19th Century, double sided enamel advertising sign, originally from within a chair back of an all wooden chair, intended to be used in the grocer's or ironmonger's shop for customers use. A bright and glossy, blue and white enamel ad, detailing 'Watson's Matchless Cleanser is the Best Soap for All Purposes'. Some damage to the enamel at two corners, some other minor chips and one to the inner detail between 'The' and 'Best', but otherwise a great sign. Top 13", base 11.5" and 14" high. Singer Sewing Machine Enamel Sign S90 Original, quality, double sided enamel advertising sign, circa 1900, for Singer Sewing Machines. This remarkably clean sign has an end flange for wall mounting - 'bus stop' fashion and details the same to both sides: 'Sewing Machine Orders Taken Here', with a large 'S' in red, detailing 'Singer Sewing Machines' and a black and white line drawing of a young female sat at a Singer treadle sewing machine. A really bright and glossy sign with white text on a green background, with very minor chips to the edges of the enamel and three small chips to the detail. 	Player's Cigarettes Enamel Sign S89 Original, quality, 1920's/30's, small, oval shaped enamel advertising sign for Player's Cigarettes or Tobacco, and details 'Player's Please' in red script on a cream background. This sign has four screw holes for mounting, which appear not to have been used, in fact, apart from a small chip above the top screw hole, it is in mint condition back and front and complete. An alternative use could be a directional sign for players of golf, tennis, football etc. 14.25" x 8.5". Click on photo for larger and other views. Price: £285.00


Nectar Tea Enamel Sign S88 Original, quality, 1920's enamel advertising sign in the form of a tea cup and saucer, detailing 'Nectar Tea'. Printed to the lower edge, for the manufacturer, is 'Patent Enamel Co Ltd, Birmingham and London'. This amusing sign has six screw holes for mounting and some damage to the enamel on the outer edge, but otherwise is complete and generally in good order. 21" x 12.5". 	Oxo Enamel Sign S87 Original, quality, late 19th Century, rectangular shaped, enamel advertising sign for 'Oxo', with a royal blue background, a thin red border, a large oxo cube form and detailed: 'It's Meat and Drink to You' and 'Concentrated Beef'. The oxo cube also details: 'A Meal in a Moment', 'Oxo Ltd, London' and 'By Appointment' with a royal warrant coat of arms. This sign is very bright and glossy, with some faint scratches to the surface, some rusting to the enamel at the edges and two areas of damage; one on the blue and the other on the cube. Generally though, a super enamel ad, otherwise complete and not a common sign. 18.5" x 12.25". Clcik on photo for larger and other views. Price: £485.00


Simonds' Brewery Enamel Sign S86 Original, quality, 1920's/30's, superb enamel advertising sign in the shape of a Hop leaf in red above a white base, detailing: 'The Hop Leaf' and 'Trademark' printed on the centre of the leaf. Also printed to the lower right hand corner, for the manufacturer, is 'Piccadilly Signs, 23 Charing Cross, SWL'. This bright and clean sign has six screw holes for mounting, which appear not to have been used, and a few very minor chips to the outer edge. A stunning advert for the Simonds' Brewery, from Reading in Berkshire; local to us here in Hungerford. Near mint condition and complete. 28" widest and 28.75" highest. 	De Reszke Enamel Sign S81 Original, quality, 1920's yellow enamel sign with black text detailing "De Reszke" (cigarettes). A little edge damage to the top and some rust stains to the edges. This sign has no holes for fixing it therefore originally had its own frame and it has retained a good sharp colour, not faded. 18" x 6". Click on photo for a larger and other views Price: £125.00


G.P.O Enamel Plaque S80* Original, quality, pre-war, red enamel plaque with white upper cased lettering detailing 'G.P.O Cables'. Some chips around the two holes used for mounting, otherwise all is complete and in good order. 7" x 4.5". Click on photo for larger and reverse views. Price: £56.00


	Post Office Enamel Sign S79* Original, quality black on white, rectangular shaped enamel sign, circa 1900/20's, detailing 'Post Office for Money Orders, Savings Bank, Parcel Post, Insurance & Annuity Business' and to the lower right corner for the manufacturer 'Chromo, Wolverhampton'. Some damage to the outer edge, but very little beyond the black boarder and one area of enamel missing on the letter 'S' of 'Insurance', otherwise a clear bright sign. 26" x 12". Woodbine Enamel Sign S36 Original quality, 1940/50's, yellow enamel advertising sign for 'Woodbine The Great Little Cigarette'. In amazing condition, with only a few tiny chips. In fact it has never been screwed up on a wall and the colour is as bright as the day it was made. A fairly ordinary sign in superb condition. 60" x 17". Click on photo for larger view. 	Colman's Starch Enamel Sign S35 Original quality, 1920's, enamel advertisement for Colman's Starch, with dark blue letters and borders on white. This sign is truely shiny and bright and has spent most of its life away from the weather. Some chips to the enamel, mainly on the border, and two that just creep into the white area. No holes apart from fixing holes. Marked to the lower left corner '1/25 Owners Colmans'. A really super sign, complete and in good order. 24" x 36". Click on photo for larger view. Price: £270.00


Dominion Enamel Sign S34 Original quality, 1920/30's, enamel advertisement for 'Dominion' motor car petrol, detailed 'Ask For Dominion Guaranteed' and a '1/4' in a petrol globe shaped logo. The text is black and white on blue and is generally in good, bright condition with a good, clean edge, but with three rust holes to one side of the main panel. 48" x 30". 	Dominion Motor Spirit Enamel Sign S33 Original quality, 1920's, enamel advertisement for 'Dominion Motor Spirit', an early brand of motor car petrol. This large sign is clear and brightly coloured with black and white text on blue. Damage to the enamel around the edges, with one or two holes. Some touching in with paint only has been carried out to most of the chips. Marked for the maker 'Bruton London' and 'British Made'. 72" x 30". Click on photo for larger view. Price: £180.00


White May & Royal Standard Lamp Oil Enamel Sign S29 Original quality, 1920's, double sided, brightly coloured enamel advertisement for 'BP White May & Royal Standard Lamp Oils', with a flange for wall mounting. The sign is very clean, a little bent, and has only two areas of damage to the enamel. An inch or so area is missing on the 'T' of 'Standard' to one side and a larger area is missing from the same spot on the other side, otherwise all is complete and in good order. 12" x 18", 1.5" flange. 	No Circulars No Hawkers Enamel Plaque NP117 Original, quality, 1930's, small, brown enamel plaque with cream, upper cased text detailing: 'No Circulars No Hawkers'. This was intended for fixing to the front gate and has two eyelet mounted screw holes. Some minor chips, otherwise in superb and bright condition. 6" x 1.5". Insurance Company Name Plate NP76* Original quality enamel name plaque, circa 1900/20's, with white on blue enamel, mounted on the original mahogany backboard. The text details are 'Agency For Fire, Life, Accident and Plate Glass Insurance'. Some chipping to the outer edge of the enamel and a chip between the 'E' and 'N' on 'Agency' and some blemishes to the mahogany backboard, otherwise complete and in good order.
