The ironwork is impressed for the manufacturer "Spear and Jackson" and has been cleaned and lacquered and the ash shaft cleaned and waxed. Original, quality, late 19th century, aneroid desk barometer, with a frame and stand in brass fashioned as a horse shoe, a hunting horn, a riding crop and a pair of whipple trees. The loop shaped stand is hinged to fold flat for storage. The central barometer has a detailed enamelled dial and "Made in Paris". All has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. Complete and in good and working order. A most unusual desk barometer. Dial 3.5", toal 10" tall x 8.5" wide, 3.5" front to back when up + 2.5" folded down.

Original, quality, superb leather, heavy horse martingale with four commemorative brass faceplates, circa 1900. The two lower brasses were issued after the death of Queen Victoria and are engraved 'Victoria the Good 1819 - 1901' and the two upper brasses were to celebrate the coronation of King Edward VII in 1902 and are engraved 'God Save the King Edward VII'. The leatherwork is in good order throughout and is fitted with two original brass buckles. A stunning set of brasses difficult to better. Original, quality, mid to late 19th century, cast iron wall mounted plate, with a sliding boss decorated with a lion's mask encircled "Musgraves Patent, Belfast". The plate has four countersunk screw holes for mounting and is embossed "Open" to the top and "Closed" below. This fitting was the control slide to operate roof vents in stables and similar buildings. 'Musgraves' were manufacturers and suppliers of all stable and harness room equipment to the very best stable yards of top properties. Has been cleaned, lacquered and is complete and in good order. This super pair are impressed "No 2", "Patent Double Cased" and "Solid Brass" and are complete with the original tug hooks, side rings, top acorn finials and the lower wrought iron linking chains. Haimes were worn on the leather collars for use when the horses were working, pulling an implement or wagon etc. Polished and laquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost.
