	Brass Loo Door Bolt Set, 3 Available LL34 Original, quality, 1930's, cast brass, five piece, surface mounted, loo door bolt set, with the inner bolt and keep and the outside panel detailing 'Vacant' and 'Engaged'. This example was originally nickel plated, but this has polished away to the brass, and has a key to open from the outside, if required. When the bolt of the door is turned to lock on the inside of the room, the window will alter from vacant to engaged. This example can be used on both left and right handed doors and has been polished and lacquered. All is complete and in good and working order. Backplates 3" x 2" and 2" x 2". Price is per set. 	Gibbon's Nickel Plated Loo Door Bolt Set, Several Sets Available LL30 Original, quality, 1920's, nickel plated on cast brass, toilet door bolt set, complete with the inner bolt and keep and the outside panel, detailing 'Vacant' and 'Engaged'. When the bolt of the door is slid to lock on the inside of the door, the window will alter from vacant to engaged. The bolt is impressed for the manufacturer 'Gibbons of Wolverhampton'. This example can be used on both left and right handed opening doors and the keep is the original. All has been fully overhauled, polished and lacquered and is complete and in good and working order. Brass Loo Door Lock Set LL28 Original, quality, late 19th Century, surface mounted, but recessed cast brass toilet door lock / latch, with a pair of brass handles and the original recessed brass panel with 'Engaged' behind glass. The square backplate to the handle, the square steel spindle and the keep plate are all replacements made to suit and all is complete and in good and working order; A very unusual door lock set which can be used on both right and left handed doors.. 	Brass Loo Door Bolt Set LL27 Original, quality, cast brass toilet door bolt set, complete with the inner bolt and keep and the surface mounted plate housing the revolving celluloid 'Vacant' and 'Engaged plate. When the bolt of the door is shut to lock on the inside of the door, the window will alter from vacant to engaged. The bolt housing is impressed with the registration number for the year 1909 and this example can be used both left and right handed. Gibbons Brass Loo Door Bolt Set, 2 Sets Available LL22 Original, quality, 1920's, cast brass toilet door, bolt set, complete with the inner bolt and keep and the outside panel detailing 'Vacant' and 'Engaged'. When the bolt of the door is slid to lock on the inside of the door, the window will alter from vacant to engaged. The bolt is impressed for the manufacturer 'Gibbons of Wolverhampton'. This example can be used on both left and right handed opening doors and the key and keep are replacements made to suit. The key will enable the bolt to be pulled back from the outside, when required. All has been fully overhauled, polished and lacquered and is complete and in good and working order. 	Alabaster Loo Pull LP40 Original, quality, high level toilet cistern pull handle, circa 1900/1920's, with brass fittings and a length of replacement brass chain. The pull handle is in alabaster or marble and is decorated with carved flowers and leaves in relief to one side. There is also a hole in the alabaster, purpose unknown, perhaps some missing decoration? This was certainly used as a loo pull in the past and hopefully was made as such, for we have not seen an example before in this material. Wall Mounted Loo Pull LP38 Original, quality 1920's, wall mounted loo pull for a high level cistern. The square, sliding, brass bar is mounted on two nickel pillars on a shaped nickel backplate and the pull handle is in reeded copper. The backplate has four countersunk screw holes for mounting and is engraved for the supplier / fitter, 'Colin Turner, Plumber, Glasgow, Partick and Ibrox'. This very unusual loo pull is also ideal for an exterior bell pull. Polished, lacquered and complete and in good and working order. Backplate 8.5" x 2.25", rod and handle 15.5" and 2" front to back. 	Isle of Wight Ceramic Loo Pull LP32 Original quality, 1920's/30's, unused white ceramic loo pull with the original chromed fittings and chain. The example is transfer printed for the plumber 'A.A. Westmore of Blackwater, Isle of Wight'. These pulls were used on high level cisterns but are also ideal for bathroom and loo light pulls. Doulton Loo Pull LP31 Original quality, late 19th century, stunning royal blue and buff coloured glazed ceramic loo pull with a brass mount and the original heavy brass chain. Not stamped but manufactured by Doulton of Lambeth and it is absolutely perfect. The brass has been polished and lacquered and all is complete and in good order. 	Copper Washing Posser WP15* Original, quality, 1920's, copper washing posser with the original beech shaft with a 'T' handle. The copper is embossed 'CWS Invincible Tyseley, Birmingham', and has been polished and lacquered, all is complete and in good order. Pair of Cast Iron Loo Seat Brackets B33* Pair of original, quality, late 19th century, very decorative cast iron loo seat support brackets. These examples have a detailed design of a cherub holding up a garland of leaves and fruit. Good repairs have been made to refit a mounting plate to the rear of each bracket and all has been cleaned and lacquered and each has the reqistration number for the year 1897 and '16' for the size, impressed to one side and now all are complete and in good and working order. The two recesses to each of the top rails would originally have been fitted with rubber buffers for those who dropped the loo seat down. Also ideal as supports for a small garden seat / bench. 16" tall x 15" front to back at top, 11" front to back at floor. Price is for the pair. Trade Sample Hand Basin HB1* Original quality, late 19th century, off white 'manufacturers sample' of a bathroom hand wash basin with scalloped soap dishes and a shaped gallery. An exact scaled down version with all the apertures for the waste and taps etc. Covered in a tiny craze consistent with its age and perfect in condition and every detail. 	Ceramic Footbath FB4 Original, quality, mid 19th century, oval shaped, white ceramic footbath with a gilt decorative band around the centre, a pair of loop handles to the ends and gilt lines to the top, base and handles. Impressed to the underside with the monogram 'JD & Co' for the manufacturer J. Dummock and Co of the Staffordshire Potteries, this mark was for 1862 - 1878. One or two faded or worn areas on the gilding and a very fine, short hairline crack to the top rim, around 1.5" long. Otherwise, all is complete and in good order. Terracotta Footbath FB3* Original quality, 19th century, oval shaped terracotta footbath with end grips and a glazed interior. This example has a super shape with the slightly tapering sides and a bright shiney inner glazing. Some flaking to the top rim but otherwise in super condition with no cracks. 25" x 17.5" x 10" tall. Hot Water Can WC3* Original quality, 19th century, all copper hot water can, over painted in wood grain finish paintwork with red lining to the edges and "Hot Water" in black to the top. The underside is impressed "6", "H.F& Co" and "All Copper". 	Davenport Child's Chamberpot CP23 Original, quality, superb, early 19th Century, blue and white child's chamberpot. This charming pottie has two identical panels of a continental scene - a cathedral with houses and a water mill beside a river. Impressed to the underside with several marks and printed 'Davenport'. Tulips Chamberpot CP19* Original, quality superb ceramic chamberpot transfer printed to the underside 'G Jones & Sons Ltd' with the mark for 1874 to 1891 and 'Tulip' for the pattern. This cream coloured pot is decorated with two pictorials of tulips and apple blossom to the inner rim and the handle. Would make a great jardiniere. Complete and in good order. 	Copeland Child's Chamberpot CP15* Original quality, superb 19th century, child's blue and white chamberpot; it actually seems a little small for a child. This has a continuous scene around the body, a sponge type decoration to the side loop handgrip, a top rim decoration and a central scene in miniature to the inside bottom. A superb example unfortunately with some cracks to the main bowl around the handle area. The handle is still attached, but would benefit from a repair. Decorated Chamberpot CP9* Original quality white chamberpot decorated with a transfer design in sepia of flowers and leaves. Transfer printed to the underside for the manufacturer Hollinshead & Kirkham, of Tunstall, England, and for the pattern 'Carlton'. The mark is for the years 1900 to 1924. 	Wedgwood Wash Bowl JB34 Original, quality, 1920's, cream coloured, ceramic wash bowl decorated with hand painted underglaze design of grapes and vine leaves in purple and green. Transfer printed to the underside 'Wedgwood', 'Hand Painted' and 'Made in England'. All is complete and in good order. Ideal as a punch bowl. 16" diameter and 5.5" tall. Pair of Doulton Tilting Ewers JB32 A pair of original, quality, superb, late 19th century, Doulton tilting wash jugs on the original cast iron stands. These very unusual items are very few and far between and are complete and in good order. We have had three before in over thirty years, but never a pair. The decoration is yellow and brown with acanthus leaves and flowers and vines on an ivory background. The undersides are transfer printed to one end with the UK registration number for the year 1890, 'US Trademark May 12th 1891' and the US patent June 30th 1891, and to the other end 'Doulton Burslem England', 'Trademark' and a picture detailing 'Royles Patent Toilet Aquarius'. The cast iron stands do show some of the original paintwork, but this has been over painted in a darker brown at a later time. These stands are decorated in relief and incorporate acanthus leaf forms and have wooden rollers to assist the tilting action of the ewer. The undersides also have an embossed registration number for the year 1890. All is complete, perfect and in good working order. So special and a pair no less. 	Adderleys Ewer and Basin JB31 Original, quality, three pieces of 1920's white ceramic jug, bowl and matching chamberpot, with exterior decoration of pale purple ribbon swags and baskets of flowers of various colours. The top rims and handles are also finished with matching pale purple lines. The undersides are transfer printed with a galleon logo and 'Adderleys Ltd' for the manufacturer and 'Basket' for the design. Brannam Jug and Basin JB30 Original, quality, earthenware ewer and wash basin, of an Arts and Crafts form, glazed to the insides only, both are marked to the underside for the maker C. H. Brannam. The jug is impressed 'C. H. Brannam Barum N. Devon' in upper cased text, and the bowl is script signed 'C. H. Brannam Royal Barum Ware 1924'. A great pair of whacky items; the bowl with its ears and the jug with its cut away pouring lip and both are perfect. A great looker. Bowl 14" diameter, 16" including handles and 5" high. 	Couldon Jug and Basin JB29 Original, quality, under glaze transfer decorated, Couldon ewer and wash basin, of an unusual, almost kidney shape. The underneath of both are detailed for the manufacturer - Couldon England - and have the registration number for the year 1891. The basin is profusely decorated to the inside and partially to the outside with pansies, tulips and clematis. Some wear to the inside pattern on the floor of the basin, otherwise all is complete and in good order. Bowl top 19" x 14.5" and 5.5" high. Jug 10" high, 7.5" wide and 10.5" wide including handle. Fieldings Crown Devon Jug and Basin JB28 Original, quality, cream coloured ewer and wash basin, decorated with swags of ribbons and flowers in pastel colours. The bowl is mainly decorated to the inside and the jug mainly to one side, and both are marked to the underside for the maker, 'Wye' for the model and with the registration number for the year 1914. Both pieces are complete and in good order. Basin 15.5" top diameter and 5.25" high. Jug 12" high, 7" wide and 9.5" wide including handle. Price is for the pair. 	Losolware Jug and Basin JB27 Original, quality, underglaze transfer decorated, Losolware ewer and wash basin, printed to the underside for the maker Keeling and Co Ltd, of Burslem Staffordshire, with the mark for 1912 to 1936. Decorated with predominantly blue on white floral scenes with a splash of colours. The jug and bowl are decorated to the outside only with just a band of colour to the inside of the rim of the bowl. A great looker and complete and in good order. Basin 16" top diameter and 5.25" high. Jug 9.5" high, 8" wide and 11.5" wide including handle and spout. Price is for the pair. Poppies Jug JB25 Original, quality, dark coloured, large ceramic ewer, circa 1900, originally part of a jug and basin set. This example is superbly decorated with four large red poppies with stems, buds and leaves and the top, shaped rim has a yellow gold line trim. Despite its quality there are no clear marks to the yellow underside. All is complete and in good and working order otherwise. 13.25" tall, 9.25" wide including handle and lip, 6.5" front to back. 	Bishop Stonier Jug JB24 Original, quality, cream coloured ceramic ewer, originally part of a jug and basin set. This example is decorated with coloured scenes of geese on a pontoon over a pond with bullrushes and water lilies and has anaesthetic movement design border to the topside and underside of the rim. Transfer printed to the underside with the logo for "Oriental Ivory" manufactured by "Bishop Stonier" and has the embossed registration number for the year 1887 and "Severn" for the pattern. Ceramic Toothbrush Jar JB21* Original, quality ceramic toothbrush jar, circa 1900, in the Art Nouveau style. Originally came as part of a ewer and basin wash set. 	Four Piece Ewer and Basin Set JB14* Four piece original quality matching decorated ceramic ewer and basin with a toothbrush jar and soap dish, circa 1900. Transfer printed to the underside with the maker's name and logo 'Dean's Burslem' with a greyhound on a crown and for the model/pattern 'Ye Old Dresden' The design to the outside incorporates various coloured peony type flowers with foliage on a frogspawn type green decorated background and the insides are offwhite. No chips or cracks to the pieces apart from two glazing chips to the drain holes in the soap dish inner drainer. The basin is rather crazed inside and rings dull and the inner drainer to the soap dish is discoloured. A great looking toilet wash set nevertheless and very suitable for use. Bright Blue Ewer J53 Original, quality, 1920's, 'Brannum' type, terracotta wash jug from a toilet ewer and basin set, with a bright blue colour and glaze including the inside and underside. Art Deco Vitrolite Splashback SP1 Original quality, 1920/30's, white Vitrolite bathroom handbasin splashback with shelf and bevelled mirror. The Vitrolite and the mirror have no chips, but a little of the silvering is missing from the edges of the mirror. 	Pair of Gentleman's Ivory Hair Brushes B2 A pair of original, late 19th century, superb quality gentleman's hair brushes, with nylon bristles and Elephant Tusk ivory backs. Each brush is engraved to the end 'E. B. W.' for the original owner. Unusual to find these with the natural surface of ivory used and worthy of note is the polished sections, showing good graining to the ivory. Travelling 3 Fold Mirror M85* Original quality superb continental three fold vanity mirror, circa 1900/1920's. The main back frame is simulated bamboo carved in stained beech. The two wing mirrors have brass frames and black and gold coloured chinoiserie pictorial backing panels. The brass frames are decorated with a continuous embossed design and are marked "JB" and "Brevette". All the hinged joints are in brass and the wooden frame has a chain mounted to the top edge, for wall hanging. A superb travelling mirror, the best we have seen of this type and in super, clean, original condition. Folded flat 12" x 9.75" + 1" front to back, opened out 12" x 23" + 1.5" front to back.
