The backplate is impressed "Trade Mark" and has four countersunk screw holes for mounting and the keep has two. The reverse is impressed "WTS Patent" for the manufacturer 'William Tonks and Son of Birmingham'. The bolt and chain keep has three countersunk screw holes for mounting and the chain and bolt keep has two.
