The Adaptable Hot Water Bottle FW45 Original, quality, buff coloured stoneware bedwarmer and hot water bottle, of a circular form with flat sides, a screw off stopper to the top and a wire handle with three turned wooden balls. Transfer printing to the face and impressed "1" for the size. The printed details include "The Adaptable Hot Water Bottle and Bed Warmer", "The Old Fulham Pottery estd. AD1671", directions for use and the registration number for the year 1904. Bottle of Cheese Rennet DP90 Original, quality, late 19th Century, buff coloured stoneware bottle with a pouring lip and cork, a superb paper label and the original contents. The label details 'Made In England', 'Chr Hansen's Standard Cheese Rennet' with directions for use and various cameos of medals and awards, and a picture of a scene at the 'International Dairy Fair' New York in 1878. The reverse is impressed for the maker of the bottle, 'Price of Bristol'. The coloured label is a little scuffed but complete and the bottle is mint. Rennet is a natural complex of enzymes used in the production of cheese to curdle the milk to produce the curds and whey. All is complete and in good order. 11" high and 4" diameter. Oval Stoneware Crock DP70 Original quality, 19th century, glazed oval shaped stoneware crock in the form of a cooper made barrel tub with hoops. The exterior is in a pale brown colour and the inside a near cream. The front is embossed with a ribbon banner with flowers over and the details 'Mrs Hunter' and beneath the side handles it is impressed '2' for the size, say 2 gallons and for the maker 'H Kennedy, Barrow? Pottery, Glasgow'. There is a firing crack around some of the bottom edge inside, which is visible from both the inside and out, but it does not leak, otherwise it is in super order with no chips or glazing damage. Could this be for newly laid eggs on a dairy counter? Or perhaps for milk or butter? Top 15" x 12" + 5.5", base 13" x 9.5", widest including side grips 16.5". This type of crock did not originally have a matching lid but would have a waxed card lid and a linen top cover tied under the rim. This example has two side grips and the typical decorated impressed band beneath the top rim. Copped Hall Grape Storage Bottle 3 available G11 Original, quality, green glass grape storage bottle, circa 1880, embossed to the top surface "Copped Hall Grape Storage Bottle patent applied for No 25693" and "W.Wood and Son Ltd Wood Green" These were used on shelves in the garden store filled with charcoal and water. Bunches of grapes would be cut and stored with the stem in the front upturned aperture and the water was topped up through the top aperture retained with a cork stopper. Prattware Pot Lid with Pot PL21 Original, quality, mid to late 19th century, coloured meat paste pot lid, with the original but discoloured base pot. This brightly coloured example depicts two youths scrapping with a crowd of on-lookers and is entitled "The Wolf and The Lamb". Lipscombe Water Filter WF2 Original, quality, late 19th century, glazed buff coloured water filter with lid. This example has underglaze applied white ceramic decorations in the form of swags, vine leaves and bunches of grapes, a Royal Coat of Arms and the maker's plaque detailing "Lipscombe and Co Patentees, 45 Queen Victoria Street, London". The lid has a knob on the top and the filter has decorative, but usable side grips. The interior is complete with the carbon filter lining, the lid has three minor chips to the outer rim, the side grips to the main filter each have several chips to the underside and there is a 3" scratch to one side of the main body, otherwise all is complete and in good order.
