Original, quality 1920's, wall plate, with a transfer portrait print of Robert Burns and details beneath "Robert Burns, Born 25th Jan 1759, Died 21st July 1796". The reverse is detailed with the trade mark for the manufacturer "Ridgeways England" and "BC and Co G" and has two holes in the foot rim for wall hanging. The front of the plate has an olive green/brown colour and the reverse is coffee brown. Complete and in good order. 9.25" diameter x 1" front to back.

Original, quality 1937, clear glass three sided decanter with a moulded glass crown shaped stopper and cut and engraved designs- different to each of the three sides "1935 GRV Jubilee", "1936 ER VIII Abdication", 1937 GR VI Coronation". Each shoulder also has a different cut and engraved detail, an English rose, Irish shamrocks and Scottish thistles. The underside is etched for the manufacturer "Royal Brierley England". This decanter is perfect with no chips or cracks but it does have water stain marks to the inside. A very unusual commemorative piece, the first we have seen. 10.25" tall x 5" base diameter.

Decorated to the front with a cameo of the King and Queen with flags either side, a crown above, a laurel wreath surround and detailed "Coronation May 12 1937", "King George VI and Queen Elizabeth". The reverse has an entwined monogramme of "G & E R" with a crown and "Long May They Reign" beneath. The underside is transfer printed for the manufacturer with a two handled urn with 'F' inside and "Made in England". Some minor crazing to the glazing otherwise complete and in good order. 3.75" tall x 3.75" widest including handle.

A pair of original, quality, late 19th Century, cast iron plaques depicting Gladstone and Disraeli, both Prime Ministers during Queen Victoria's reign. These plaques have been finished in a matt gilt colour and are fitted within wide circular wooden frames. All is complete and in superb order. The first we have seen. Original, quality, bone china, moustache cup and saucer issued to commemorate Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee in 1887. Both the cup and saucer are square shaped with canted corners and have a brightly coloured coat of arms, a crown on a horn and 'Jubilee 1887'. Both the undersides are also marked with the registration number for the same year. Some crazing to the glaze, otherwise complete and in good order. Saucer 5.75" x 5.75" x 0.75", cup 3.5" diameter, 3" tall and 4.75" wide including handle.

The front is transfer printed in upper cased Art Nouveau type style, around a cameo of Gladstone and the text details: 'England's Great Commoner, William Ewart Gladstone' and 'Effort, Honest Reflective Action, Manful, Humble upon Character, Effort - Suceeds better than by it's Sucess'. Impressed to the underside 'Doulton Lambeth England' and '4200'. A superb commemorative jug, issued in 1898 by Doulton on the death of Gladstone. Original, quality, bronze medallion in the original fitted and red leather covered box, detailed to the lid in gold leaf: '1902 Coronation Medal' and with the cypher of King Edward VII. The medallion, in the original finish, has the King's head to one side and details 'Edward VII Crowned 9th August 1902', and to the other side, the head of the Queen and details 'Alexandra Queen Consort'. Six original, quality 1920's, matching, unused, silver plated teaspoons each bearing a different head and details of various British officers of the 1st World War and previous. 1. Lord Fisher and a Cameo of a British bulldog above 'The Navy' in upper case. 2. King George V and a cameo of Britannia, above 'The Empire'. 3. Admiral Beatty and a cameo of a warship, above 'The Navy'. 4. Earl Roberts and a cameo of an Indian Army Soldier, above 'India'. 5. Original, quality one pint pewter tankard, with an overlaid blue glass bottom engraved 'ER VIII 1937', to commemorate the coronation of Edward VIII, which never was. The most interesting thing is the pewter plate added to the front, engraved 'Abdicated 11th December 1936'. We have not seen this before. The pewter is stamped to the underside 'Manor' and with the number '2348'. Unfortunately the inner clear glass bottom panel has a crack, although the engraved blue overlaid panel is undamaged. Otherwise all is complete and in good order. An unusual commemorative collectable. 5" tall x 3.5" diameter base, 4.75" widest including handle.

The front depicts a circular detailed plaque between 2 flags and under the crown, the reverse as given by 'Robert Long Mayor' of Newbury with the castle motif. A very small part of the transfer was lost in the printing, otherwise all is complete and in good order. Base diameter 3.25", top diameter 2.5" x 3.25" tall.

Ceramic items with these royal ciphers were generally from government or royal establishments for staff use, not for the royalty to use themselves. Complete and in good order. Original, quality superb leather heavy horse martingale with four commemorative brass faceplates, circa 1900. The two lower brasses were issued after the death of Queen Victoria and are engraved 'Victoria the Good 1819 - 1901' and the two upper brasses were to celebrate the coronation of King Edward VII in 1902 and are engraved 'God Save the King Edward VII'. The leatherwork is in good order throughout and is fitted with two original brass buckles. A stunning set of brasses difficult to better. Complete and in good order. Length as in picture 37" and 3.5" wide.

Original, quality, white ceramic dairy bowl, with tapered sides, a thick rolled top rim and transfer print to the underside detailing "GVIR", "Wedgwood Barlaston 1952" and "Made in England". 91. Ceramic items with these Royal Ciphers were generally from Government or Royal establishments for staff use, but not for the Royal Family to use themselves. A good clean bowl, complete and in good order. Top diameter 10.5", 7.5" base x 4.5" tall.

Large Banded Jug J44
Original, quality, large, white ceramic bellied shaped water jug, with embossed simulated barrel staves and hoops and a vine leaf to the underside of the pouring lip. Although this jug looks to be mid 19th Century, it has the cipher of King George VI in green to the front, '1940' and 'Bovery Pottery Ltd' to the underside. As stunning as it is, this jug is damaged; it has two short hairline cracks from the top, a star crack to the base and a large chip glued back in on the rim of the base, otherwise complete and a great looker. Ceramic items with these Royal ciphers were generally from Government or Royal establishments for staff use, but not for the Royalty to use themselves.10.25" high, 8.25" diameter and 11.5" widest including handle.

The brass covers are embossed with details of the same to one side and embossed cameos of the King and Queen either side of the Crown to the other. The stainless steel blades are marked for the manufacturer "I X L George Wostenholm Sheffield" and have a good and firm action. All is complete and in good and working order. 3" x 0.5" closed, 6.25" x 0.5" open.
