	Robert Burns Plate CC79 Original, quality 1920's, wall plate, with a transfer portrait print of Robert Burns and details beneath "Robert Burns, Born 25th Jan 1759, Died 21st July 1796". The reverse is detailed with the trade mark for the manufacturer "Ridgeways England" and "BC and Co G" and has two holes in the foot rim for wall hanging. The front of the plate has an olive green/brown colour and the reverse is coffee brown. Complete and in good order. 9.25" diameter x 1" front to back. Click on photo for larger and other view. Lloyd George Plate, 2 Available CC78 Original, quality, 1920's wall plate, with a transfer photographic print of Lloyd George, Prime Minister of England 1916 to 1922. The reverse is detailed "RT.Hon.D.Lloyd George" and has two holes in the foot rim for wall hanging. The front of the plate has an olive green/brown colour and the reverse is coffee brown. 	1911 Commemorative Beaker CC77 Original, quality, small white ceramic beaker, with two cameos to the front of King George V and Queen Mary and detailed "Crowned June 22nd 1911". The reverse is transfer printed with the Coat of Arms for 'The Borough of Holborn" the issuing local authority. All is complete and in good order. Top diameter 2.75" x 3.75" high. 1914/1919 Peace Mug CC76 Original, quality white ceramic mug, with a side loop handle and decorated to the back and front to commemorate the end of the 1st World War. The front has four flags of the allies, a dove of peace on a globe and "The Great World War 1914 - 1919". The underside is marked for the manufacturer "CWS Longton" and all is complete and in good order. 3.25" diameter x 3.25" tall + 4.75" front to back including the handle. 	Commemorative Glass Decanter CC75 Original, quality 1937, clear glass three sided decanter with a moulded glass crown shaped stopper and cut and engraved designs- different to each of the three sides "1935 GRV Jubilee", "1936 ER VIII Abdication", 1937 GR VI Coronation". Each shoulder also has a different cut and engraved detail, an English rose, Irish shamrocks and Scottish thistles. The underside is etched for the manufacturer "Royal Brierley England". This decanter is perfect with no chips or cracks but it does have water stain marks to the inside. A very unusual commemorative piece, the first we have seen. 10.25" tall x 5" base diameter. Davenport Dish CC73 Original, quality shallow circular dish, with transfer decoration in blue on white detailing a picture of a four storey building entitled "Bennett Street Sunday School Manchester". The reverse is transfer printed for the manufacturer 'Davenport Longport' with the year stamp for 1848. A super looking, perfect dish with local history. 6.75" diameter x 1.5" front to back. 	1937 Coronation Mug CC71 Original, quality ceramic tapered mug with a side handle. Decorated to the front with a cameo of the King and Queen with flags either side, a crown above, a laurel wreath surround and detailed "Coronation May 12 1937", "King George VI and Queen Elizabeth". The reverse has an entwined monogramme of "G & E R" with a crown and "Long May They Reign" beneath. The underside is transfer printed for the manufacturer with a two handled urn with 'F' inside and "Made in England". 1911 Glasgow Exhibition Jug CC70 Original, quality small clear glass water jug with a pouring lip, a super loop handle and acid etched panels to each side. One side details "A Present From The Scottish Exhibition, Glasgow 1911" with the city Coat of Arms and the other side has a picture of presumably the exhibition building and underneath "Stewart Fountain Palace of History" and "Mrs Benzie". 5" tall x base diameter 2.75" + 4.5" front to back including handle. 	Pair of Gladstone and Disraeli Cast Iron Plaques CC69 A pair of original, quality, late 19th Century, cast iron plaques depicting Gladstone and Disraeli, both Prime Ministers during Queen Victoria's reign. These plaques have been finished in a matt gilt colour and are fitted within wide circular wooden frames. All is complete and in superb order. The first we have seen. Commemorative Moustache Cup and Saucer CC68 Original, quality, bone china, moustache cup and saucer issued to commemorate Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee in 1887. Both the cup and saucer are square shaped with canted corners and have a brightly coloured coat of arms, a crown on a horn and 'Jubilee 1887'. Both the undersides are also marked with the registration number for the same year. Some crazing to the glaze, otherwise complete and in good order. 	1901 Glasgow Exhibition Enamelled Mug CC67 Original, quality, small, white, enamelled mug with enamelling inside and out, a rear loop side handle and a picture in colour of the exhibition hall, entitled 'Glasgow International Exhibition 1901'. A very clean and bright example and, apart from a few very, very minor chips, it is in mint condition. 3" tall, 3" diameter and 3.75" front to back including handle. Doulton Gladstone Jug CC65 Original, quality, buff coloured, glazed stoneware jug, with a rear loop handle, a pouring lip and a coffee brown glazed top and base reeded trim. The front is transfer printed in upper cased Art Nouveau type style, around a cameo of Gladstone and the text details: 'England's Great Commoner, William Ewart Gladstone' and 'Effort, Honest Reflective Action, Manful, Humble upon Character, Effort - Suceeds better than by it's Sucess'. Impressed to the underside 'Doulton Lambeth England' and '4200'. A superb commemorative jug, issued in 1898 by Doulton on the death of Gladstone. 	1902 Coronation Medal CC64 Original, quality, bronze medallion in the original fitted and red leather covered box, detailed to the lid in gold leaf: '1902 Coronation Medal' and with the cypher of King Edward VII. The medallion, in the original finish, has the King's head to one side and details 'Edward VII Crowned 9th August 1902', and to the other side, the head of the Queen and details 'Alexandra Queen Consort'. 1924 British Empire Exhibition Souvenir CC63 Original, quality, bone china, ace of spades shaped pin tray, with coloured detail of a cameo of Boadicea with ten flags of different nations and 'Wembley British Empire Exhibition, April to October 1924'. 	1935 Shelley Commemorative Beaker CC60 Original, quality, white ceramic beaker, commemorating the Silver Jubilee of King George V and Queen Mary. The front has a pair of coloured cameos of the King and Queen, with a shield of the Union Jack between with a crown over. 1953 Coronation Trio CC55 Original, quality, 3 pc cream coloured ceramic cup, saucer and tea plate issued to commemorate the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II, each with a cameo of the Queen with flags to both sides and the monogram beneath. 	1937 Coronation Shaving Mug CC52 Original, quality, white ceramic gents shaving mug with a side loop handle, a top perforated section for the soap and a front aperture to access the hot water. The transfer printed coloured cameo to the side is detailed for the coronation of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother in 1937. 6 Matching British Officers Teaspoons CC50 Six original, quality 1920's, matching, unused, silver plated teaspoons each bearing a different head and details of various British officers of the 1st World War and previous. 1. Lord Fisher and a Cameo of a British bulldog above 'The Navy' in upper case. 2. King George V and a cameo of Britannia, above 'The Empire'. 3. Admiral Beatty and a cameo of a warship, above 'The Navy'. 4. Earl Roberts and a cameo of an Indian Army Soldier, above 'India'. 5. Earl Kitchener and a cameo of a British Soldier, above 'The Army'. 6. Duke of Connaught and a cameo of a soldier, above 'Canada'. The reverse of the spoons are all marked 'Patent applied for, Birks EPNS' and have garlands of roses, shamrocks and thistles for England, Ireland and Scotland. 	Large Brass Medallion CC47 Original, quality, mid to late 19th century, cast brass side view of a gentleman's head in relief mounted on a heavy circular cast brass wall plaque. The reverse of the plaque has a screwhead slot for wall hanging and shows an old repair. The gentleman is unknown to us, we would be pleased to know of him if you do. 1937 Coronation Rug CC43 Original, quality cotton and wool rug made to commemorate the Coronation of King George VI in 1937. The left panel shows three different Royal Crowns and the right panel shows The Orb and Sceptres with two Royal Swords. 1935 Sowerby Silver Jubilee Mug CC39 Original, quality green tinged pressed glass mug commemorating The Silver Jubilee of King George V, issued in 1935. The mug, of plain form, has decoration to the front and is marked beneath with the peacock's head for the makers Sowerby and 'British Made'. 	1902 Lithophane Cup CC28 Original, quality bone china teacup, with the monogram of King Edward V11 beneath the crown over '1902'. This was issued to commemorate the coronation in 1902, with the lithophane portrait of the King to the base of the cup. An unusual example, detailed for the 'Preston Guild'. 1937 Edward VIII Pewter Tankard CC25 Original, quality one pint pewter tankard, with an overlaid blue glass bottom engraved 'ER VIII 1937', to commemorate the coronation of Edward VIII, which never was. The most interesting thing is the pewter plate added to the front, engraved 'Abdicated 11th December 1936'. We have not seen this before. The pewter is stamped to the underside 'Manor' and with the number '2348'. Unfortunately the inner clear glass bottom panel has a crack, although the engraved blue overlaid panel is undamaged. Otherwise all is complete and in good order. An unusual commemorative collectable. 5" tall x 3.5" diameter base, 4.75" widest including handle. Click on photo for larger and other views. 	1902 Enamel Beaker CC16 Original, quality, white enamelled beaker issued to commemorate the coronation of King Edward Vll. The front panel shows the entwined 'E and A' initials of King Edward and Queen Alexandra. The panel to the left shows Queen Alexandra and the King is to the right panel. 1911 Foley Coronation Mug CC9 Original, quality fine Foley china mug with side loop handle and multicoloured decoration throughout. To the front is a detailed picture of a coloured shield and two figurines either side. The reverse details 'King of Great Britain and Ireland and All The British Dominion Beyond The Seas' and 'Emperor of India'. A clear transfer printed maker's mark can be seen to the underside. 	1897 Diamond Jubilee Mug CC5 Original, quality tapered ceramic mug with side handle. Issued to commemorate Queen Victoria's 60 years of reign, her Diamond Jubilee. The front depicts a circular detailed plaque between 2 flags and under the crown, the reverse as given by 'Robert Long Mayor' of Newbury with the castle motif. A very small part of the transfer was lost in the printing, otherwise all is complete and in good order. Base diameter 3.25", top diameter 2.5" x 3.25" tall. 1887 Jubilee Water Jug CC4 Original, quality two pint clear glass jug with overlaid ribbed cranberry glass to the top 1.5". The clear glass body is acid etched with the design of a bust of Queen Victoria within a garland of roses, thistles and shamrocks, surrounded by ferns and a swag 'Jubilee Year 1887'. 	GR VI White Chamberpot CP26 Original, quality, small to medium sized, white chamberpot with a side handle and a green transfer printed monogram to the front, detailing 'GR VI' beneath a King's crown, for King George the sixth, who reigned from 1937 to 1952. The underside is marked for the manufacturer 'Ashworth Bros England'. Ceramic items with these royal ciphers were generally from government or royal establishments for staff use, not for the royalty to use themselves. Complete and in good order. 4 Commemorative Brass Martingale HB85 Original, quality superb leather heavy horse martingale with four commemorative brass faceplates, circa 1900. The two lower brasses were issued after the death of Queen Victoria and are engraved 'Victoria the Good 1819 - 1901' and the two upper brasses were to celebrate the coronation of King Edward VII in 1902 and are engraved 'God Save the King Edward VII'. The leatherwork is in good order throughout and is fitted with two original brass buckles. A stunning set of brasses difficult to better. Complete and in good order. 	Coronation Crown Horse Brass HB38 Original quality, 'Heavy Horse', pierced and pressed brass faceplate depicting the royal crown issued for King George V's coronation in 1912. Liptons Brass Tea Caddy, 2 available TC13 Original, quality pressed brass tea caddy with lid as purchased at the British Empire Exhibiton in 1926, issued by Lipton's Tea Company and supplied filled with tea leaves. The lion logo for the exhibition is embossed to the top surface; 'British Empire Exhibition 1926' is around the centre followed by 'Liptons Souvenir Tea Caddy' and the underside is impressed 'Liptons' and with the registration number for the year 1926. Some minor dents to the underside. Polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed if required at no extra cost. Complete and in good and working order. 4.25" high x 4.5" widest. 	Liptons British Empire Exhibition Brass Tea Caddy, 2 Available TC11 Original, quality pressed brass tea caddy with lid, purchased at the British Empire Exhibition in 1925. Issued by Lipton's tea company and supplied filled with tea leaves. The lion logo for the exhibition is embossed to the top surface; 'British Empire Exhibition 1925' is around the centre followed by 'Liptons Souvenir Tea Caddy' and the underside is impressed 'Liptons' and with the registration number for the year 1925. GR.VI Oval Platter P23 Original, quality, oval shaped white ceramic meat plate with the cypher of King George VI in blue to the front and "1941", "W.Adams and Sons England" to the reverse. 	Bratton Friendly Society Plate FS56 Original, quality, late 19th century, off white ceramic dinner plate with a red border decoration and a black transfer printed logo detailing "Bratton Friendly Society". Pair of Nickel 1911 Coronation Candlesticks CS107 A pair of original, quality, solid nickel, large candlesticks with shaped stems on square bases, with canted corners and push rod candle ejectors. This pair are impressed to the sides of the bases with the registration number for the year 1911 and with a crown over 'The Coronation 1911'. These were issued to commemorate the coronation of King George V and Queen Mary. Unusual to find these in nickel. 	1935 Silver Jubilee Corkscrew Set CS34 Set of three original quality brass home bar tools comprising corkscrew, bottle opener with steel fittings and bottle stopper with cork. The cast brass grips depict the of heads King George V and Queen Mary and the dates 1910/1935. This set was issued to commemorate the King's Silver Jubilee in 1935. All items are marked 'copyright 20216' to the reverse. Polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed if required at no extra cost. Complete and in good and working order. 1937 Commemorative Glass Ashtray A13 Original, quality moulded clear glass square shaped deep ashtray with a cigarette groove to each corner and silver painted cameo to the bottom of King George VI & Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother. Presumably issued as a souvenir for the coronation in 1937. A little discolouration to the underside but no chips or cracks and all is complete and in good order. 3.75" square x 2" high. 	GVIR White Ceramic Bowl DP128 Original, quality, white ceramic dairy bowl, with tapered sides, a thick rolled top rim and transfer print to the underside detailing "GVIR", "Wedgwood Barlaston 1952" and "Made in England". 91. Ceramic items with these Royal Ciphers were generally from Government or Royal establishments for staff use, but not for the Royal Family to use themselves. A good clean bowl, complete and in good order. Top diameter 10.5", 7.5" base x 4.5" tall. Click on photo for larger and other view. Price: £85.00


Large Banded Jug J44 Original, quality, large, white ceramic bellied shaped water jug, with embossed simulated barrel staves and hoops and a vine leaf to the underside of the pouring lip. Although this jug looks to be mid 19th Century, it has the cipher of King George VI in green to the front, '1940' and 'Bovery Pottery Ltd' to the underside. As stunning as it is, this jug is damaged; it has two short hairline cracks from the top, a star crack to the base and a large chip glued back in on the rim of the base, otherwise complete and a great looker. Ceramic items with these Royal ciphers were generally from Government or Royal establishments for staff use, but not for the Royalty to use themselves.10.25" high, 8.25" diameter and 11.5" widest including handle. 	1937 Commemorative Pocket Knife FK61 Original, quality twin bladed folding pocket knife issued to commemorate the Coronation of George VI and Queen Elizabeth, the present Queen's Mother, May 12th 1937. The brass covers are embossed with details of the same to one side and embossed cameos of the King and Queen either side of the Crown to the other. The stainless steel blades are marked for the manufacturer "I X L George Wostenholm Sheffield" and have a good and firm action. Pair of 1902 Coronation Dinner Knife and Fork, 2 Pairs Available C18 Original, quality, steel knife and fork with walnut side covers to the handles. The knife blade is etched 'Kings Coronation Dinner, Streatham, 1902'. These were obviously used for a dinner to celebrate the Coronation of King Edward VII.
