Hadfields Fertiliser's Carving Knife CS19 Original quality, 1920's, carving knife in stainless steel with an ivorine handle. This knife was originally part of a boxed set made as a presentation by 'Hadfield's Fertilisers of Liverpool' and the blade is engraved for the same firm. 	Elephant Ivory Carving Set CS18 Pair of original superb quality, 19th century, carving knife and fork, with African elephant ivory tusk handles and silver plated mounts, in the original fully fitted oak box with key. The plated mounts have an engine turned decoration and the knife blade is stamped 'VR' with a crown and 'Thornhill' for the maker. The box interior is lined in the original blue felt, with a little wear to the edge. Complete and in good and working order. Box 19" x 5.5" x 3", knife 16.75" long. Price is for the set. 4 Piece Carving Set CS16 Original quality, late 19th century, boxed set of four steel pieces with china handles simulating carved antler grips. The blade of the knife is marked for the maker 'John Wigfall & Co of Sheffield'. This set comprises a pair of large joint carving knife and fork and a pair of smaller poutry carvers. The purple silk and velvet lining are a little faded but the outer covering of red moroccan leather is in super condition. WMF Nickel Plated Punch Ladle CS20* Original quality,1920's, nickel plated punch ladle with a beaten pink brass shaped handgrip with an inlaid Art Nouveau decoration of dark blue and green enamel insets. The oval bowl has a ribbed design for added strength and a clean impressed manufacturer's mark for "WMF", all has in super Art Nouveau form. Bread Knife BK3 Original quality, late 19th century, steel bread knife with a well carved sycamore handle. The handle depicts oak leaves and acorns to the front and laurel leaves to the reverse. The blade is marked 'London Made' and 'Smith 12 King Williams St', for the maker or retailer. There is a minor split to the wooden grip but otherwise this is in excellent condition and very usable. 12.25" x 1.2". NOTE: The blade is not stainless steel, this means it will really sharpen well, but one needs to take care not to leave it wet for the blade will show rust like any 'steel' will do. 	Steel Bread Knife BK2 Original quality, late 19th century, steel bread knife with a nickel plated decorated pistol grip handle with acantus leaf designs. The blade is engraved 'Bread Knife' with a seed sowing scene to one side. The blade is steel and not stainless steel, and will sharpen to a good sharp blade when necessary. Set of Six Steel Knives C7 Set of six original quality matching steel dinner knives, circa 1900/1910, with antler handles and nickel ferrules and end stop plates. The blades are marked for the maker 'Maleham and Yeomans, Cutler Sheffield' and 'ER' either side of a crown for King Edward VII. Remember these knives are steel not stainless steel, they will keep a very sharp edge but do not like water or moisture etc. A super set of very clean knives complete and in good and working order. 8.75" x 0.75". 	Boxed Fish Servers C6 Pair of original quality, superb, silver plated and engraved fish serving knife and fork, circa 1900, with ivory handles, all in the original Maroccan red leather covered hinged presentation box. Both the knife and fork are profusely engraved both to the front and back with acanthus leaf designs; but the knife is particularly exciting with a very detailed engraving of a brace of trout, a fishing rod, reel and a landing net. The grips of both pieces are in carved ivory with a minor split to the handle of the fish knife, otherwise all is in super order. The inside of the box is fitted with purple velvet to the base with matching silk to the lid. A well above average pair complete and in good and working order. Box 13.75" x 4.5" x 1.25". Boxed Silver Plated Cake Knife C5 Original quality, unused, silver plated cake knife, circa 1900/1920's, in the original simulated leather paper covered, hinged presentation box. The blade, with a serrated top edge, is engraved with decorations of acanthus leaves and the handle has acanthus leaves and rose heads in relief. Some hallmark type impressed marks can be seen on the collar of the handgrip. The box has a blue velvet lining to the inside of the base and a blue silk to the lid. All is in mint condition. 	Boxed Set of Fruit Knives C4* Original quality, 1920's, boxed set of six stainless steel fruit knives with good mother of pearl grips. These appear not to have been used, and come with the original velvet and silk lined leather look hinged box with a press stud catch to the front. Each blade is etched 'Satinless De Luxe' and 'Made in Sheffield'. A super looking, very clean boxed set, complete and in good and working order. Box 7.5" x 5.75" x 1". Price is for the set. Brass Skimmer SK5* Original quality, 1920's, pierced brass skimmer of an unusual shape to the body and handle; with two good copper rivets and the original unpolished patina to the reverse. 	Brass & Iron Skimmer SK3* Original quality, early 19th century, circular brass dairy skimmer with a blacksmith made wrought iron handle. Brass Skimmer SK1* Original quality superb pierced brass dairy skimmer with a shaped bowl and tapered handle with a celtic type design to the top. The bowl has an unusual shaped piercing and two rivets fixing it to the shaft, stamped to the reverse with the registration number for the year 1910. So although this looks 18/19th century, it was probably manufactured by Peerage in the early 1900's, never the less, a superb, very clean example.
