Large Wrought Iron Rim Lock RL316 Original, quality, mid 19th Century, wrought iron, surface mounted door lock with a replacement keep made to suit, an old key altered to fit and will take a standard modern square bar for the handles. All has been fully overhauled, cleaned and lacquered. This lock has a sliding knob / latch from the inside only, a key lock provision from both sides, a handle turn and a security slide on the inside of the room, which overrides both the key and sliding knob. Brass Rim Lock RL311 Original, quality, cast pink brass, surface mounted door lock circa 1900 / 1920's, with the original key, keep and one integral oval knob. A square bar is included to fit a standard mortice lock or latch. The key, keep and lock are all impressed with, 'Kaye, Leeds' for the maker, and both the lock and keep are also marked '93 High Holborn, London'. This heavy, brass lock and keep have shaped outer rims and line decoration, and is the first we have seen from this manufacturer. A great quality lock; complete and in good and working order. 	Decorated Brass Rim Lock Set RL309 Original, quality mid 19th Century large, cast brass surface mounted door lock with the original keep and a pair of cast brass door knobs, keyhole surround and a key made to suit. This lock has a beaded trim, decorative cast brass spandrel decorations and the keep has corresponding features. The lock has four screw holes for mounting and the keep has two. The original keyhole surround is included but is missing a top decoration. The handles are very decorative, again in heavy cast brass with acanthus leaves and laurel wreath detail, and have a threaded square bar and grub screw adjustment system to fit the rim lock. This lock is stamped to the reverse of the front plate with an address in Long Acre, London and all has been fully overhauled, polished and lacquered and is complete and in good and working order. Quite an exceptional door lock; one of the best we have had to date. Lock 8.25" x 6" x 1". Keep 6" x 1" x 1". Knob 2.5" x 2.5" front to back. Backplate 2.75". Keyhole 2.5" x 2.75". Brass Rim Latch Set, 2 Matching Available RL308 Original, quality, 1920's cast brass, surface mounted rim latch with one integral knob and the other with four countersunk screw holes for mounting. A replacement keep has been made to suit and a square steel spindle bar is included. This latch has the provision for a handle turn and a security slide on the inside of the room, which overrides the handles. The latch body has a bevelled outer edge, a lower outer flange and is marked 'Jas Beresford and Son Maker Birmingham'. The latch has four countersunk screw holes for mounting and the keep has two. A very unusual door latch, complete and in in good and working order. Main body 4" x 3.5" and 3.5" front to back, knob 2" diameter and backplate 2.75". Price is per set. This narrow brass lock has an applied manufacturer's plate to the front, detailing "S Gardner & Co No1 Clifford St London" with a crown above. Both the lock and keep have fixing flanges to the top and bottom, each with countersunk screw holes and all has been fully overhauled and is complete and in good and working order. Cast Iron Rim Lock, 4 matching available RL254 Orginal quality cast iron surface mounted door lock, circa 1900, with a ropetwist bead within a shaped border bead and the original keep and key. 	Chubb Patent Rim Lock RL62 Original quality, late 19th century, iron, surface mounted door lock of an unusual design with the original key and a keep made to suit. The lock has been fully overhauled and painted black, and the brass has been polished. The plaque details for the maker 'Chubb & Son', 'Chubb Patent', '57 St Pauls Churchyard London' and 'Makers To Her Majesty'. The patent lock is operated by turning the knob on the inside or the key from the outside only. All is complete and in good and working order. Lock 4.5" x 3.5" x 0.75". 	Gibbons Brass Loo Door Bolt Set, several sets available LL22* Original, quality, 1920's, cast brass toilet door, bolt set, complete with the inner bolt and keep and the outside panel detailing 'Vacant' and 'Engaged'. When the bolt of the door is slid to lock on the inside of the door, the window will alter from vacant to engaged. The bolt is impressed for the manufacturer 'Gibbons of Wolverhampton'. This example can be used on both left and right handed opening doors and the key and keep are replacements made to suit. The key will enable the bolt to be pulled back from the outside, when required. All has been fully overhauled, polished and lacquered and is complete and in good and working order. 1d Brass Loo Lock LL20* Original quality cast pink brass public convenience 1d in the slot toilet door lock. Stamped with the patent date for 1939 and impressed 'Parker, Winder & Achurch of Birmingham' for the manufacturer. This lock is fitted to the outside of an inward opening door and an old penny in the system permits the door to open. When the handle is turned from the inside, the door can be locked or unlocked and the 'vacant' will change to and from 'engaged'. The door can only be opened from the outside by a fresh penny once the old penny has dropped (when the knob has been turned to open), or with the attendant's key. The lock keep and the keys are replacements made to suit copied from an original. This lock comprises the lock and keep, two keys, a turning handle, the square steel bar and six old pennies, a total of six pieces plus the pennies. This lock is handed and will fit on the left hand side of the door facing you with the door hinged on the right side. All is complete and in good and working order. Lock box 12" x 4" x 1.5". 	1d Brass Loo Lock LL12* Original quality, 1920's, heavy cast brass public convenience, 1d in the slot, toilet door lock. Impressed for the maker 'Lockerbie & Wilkinson Ltd Tipton'. This lock is fitted to the outside of an inward opening door. An old penny in the system permits the door to open. When the door is bolted on the inside the Vacant sign will change to 'Engaged' and until the bolt is drawn back again, the door cannot be opened even with a penny, only with the attendant's key. The lock's keep and the two keys are replacements made to suit and copied from originals. This lock set comprises: The lock and keep, 2 keys, inner bolt and keep, 1 turning handle and square steel bar, 5 old pennies. A total of 8 pieces plus the pennies. Complete and in good and working order. This lock is handed, and will fit on the right hand side of the door facing you with the door hinges on the left hand side. Box lock 12.5" x 4.5" x 1.25". 1920's Hotel/Cabin Door Brass Rim Lock, 2 Available A8 Original quality brass rim lock with original key and keep. Handle operates from inside of room only, but the key operates from inside and outside the room. Possibly a cabin or hotel door lock, ie handle not required on outside of door.
