The Underwriter Copper Fire Extinguisher FF20
Original quality, 1920's, superb copper fire extinguisher with cast brass fittings and brass labels. The side hose and nozzle are missing but otherwise all is in good order and has been polished and lacquered. The cast brass top circular handle is detailed 'Accurate Patent The Tea Tray Co of Newark N.J.' The profusion of brass labels give instruction for use in geat detail and the lower label 'Manufactured For The Underwriter Fire Appliances Ltd 30 Fleet St, London, England' and 'Made in USA'. Not suitable for use. 24" x 7" base diameter.

Original quality long cast brass and copper 'branch', circa 1900, from a fire fighting water hose. Has a few small dents and scratches consistent with use, but otherwise, complete and in good order. Stamped 'McGregor & Co, Dundee' to one lug for the maker and all of a good tapered pipe. Has been polished and lacquered. 26" long and 5.4" widest including lugs.

Original quality cylindrical copper fire extinguisher with brass fittings, manufactured by the 'Pyrene Company Ltd.' and dated 1940. The diamond shaped brass plaque to the front details the 'Conquest' model, instructions for use and the address of Pyrene Co.. The rubber hose is intact and all is complete and in good order and has been lacquered. 22" tall, 7.75" base diameter, 9.5" widest.

Original quality, 1920's, spherical cobalt blue glass fire grenade, complete with the original infill to the spout, the original contents (often a solution of sodium bicarbonate) and what could be the original wire hanging frame. The whole grenade used to be thrown onto a small domestic fire to extinguish the flames. No paper labels but otherwise, complete and in good order. 4.25" tall x 3.25" wide. Another similar item may well be available, ref code FG15.

Hardens Star Fire Grenade FG16*
Original quality cobalt blue glass fire grenade complete with the original infill to the spout and the original contents (often a solution of sodium bicarbonate). The whole grenade used to be thrown onto a small domestic fire to extinguish the flames. This example is embossed to the central band "Hardens Star Hand Grenade Fire Extinguisher", has a 'star' logo embossed to the front and the registration number for the year 1884 to the underside. This is not the rarest version, but one of the most spectacular looking. All is complete and in good order. 7" tall and 4" diameter.

Pair of original quality green glass fire grenades, with part contents and the original hanging/carrying wire rack, circa 1880. Each grenade is embossed with a garter around a crown, with the Prince of Wales feathers above and 'The Imperial Fire Extinguisher' within the garter. The embossed detail is much larger than normally found on this model. The whole grenade would be thrown onto a small domestic fire to extinguish the flames. All is complete and in good order. Wire rack with loop 11" high x 10" wide x 5" front to back, each grenade 6.5" x 4".
