	1901 RSPCA Award Brass HB57 Original quality heavy horse brass face plate merit badge awarded by the RSPCA, (Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) at the London Cart Horse Parade, 1901 in cast brass with a nickel plated, lead Royal Coat of Arms and a short leather strap with a rectangular brass buckle. The brass is also over stamped 'E. Fautley', 'of', apart from this name, 1901 is also a very early date for RSPCA brasses. Although the plating is worn from the lead on the Coat of Arms all is complete and in good order. Brass 4.2" x 3.25" and 6.5" including strap. Click on photo for larger and other views. Heavy Horse Martingale HB55 Original quality leather martingale as worn on heavy horses. This example has four matching pressed brass faceplates depicting the Royal Crown to commemorate the Coronation of King George V in 1912. The leather martingale has the top mounting strap and buckle but the lower end has been removed, otherwise complete and in good order. A super set. 18" x 3.75" x 0.75". Triple Bell Horse Brass HB54 Original quality, late 19th century/early 20th century, triple bell 'heavy horse' decoration, worn on the head between the ears or on the saddle pad. Each bell has a small cast iron clapper and the acorn finial to the top will unscrew to permit a plume of coloured horse hair to be worn if required. Coronation Brass Swinger HB48 Original quality cast brass heavy horse 'swinger' decoration worn on the saddle pad or on top of the bridle between the ears when dressed in 'Sunday best' harness. This example has the crown swinging within a circular frame and was issued to commemorate the coronation of King George V in 1912. This one has also been mounted on a brass stand of super quality to 'assist' its display (included). All is complete and in good order. Base 3" square and 4." high. The leather has two straps to the top with brass buckles and one long strap to the lower end with an incomplete steel buckle. The top pair of brasses are of the 'diamond' motif, the next 'clubs' and the other two are of differing designs. Pair of No 4 Heavy Horse Brass Haimes H19 Pair of original quality, late 19th century, double cased brass heavy horse haimes with heart shaped brass plates on tug chains. The main haimes are stamped "Patent double cased", "solid brass No 4" and both tug hearts and main shafts are engraved with a picture of a standing carthorse. Both are complete with acorn finials and all the hinges and chains. The ironwork has been cleaned, brass polished, all has been lacquered and is complete and in good and working order.
