	Savigny Gum Lancet Kit M113 Original, quality, 18th century, gum lancet with three steel blades set in an ivory handgrip, with the original two piece morrocan leather covered case. The three folding steel blades are marked for the London maker "Savigny" and apart from three short cracks in the ivory all is in superb condition and complete and looks unused. A great find. Brass Enema M112 Original, quality, mid 19th century, brass enema in the original fully fitted pink velvet lined mahogany box, with the original lock and key. This brass enema is embossed with maker's name "Peake Allen and Co, London" and is complete and in superb order, with the original lacquer, ivory handle to the plunger, pewter extending arm and two pewter nozzles of different sizes. The lid of the hinged box has suffered with some old splits to the mahogany top, but these have now all been repaired and although they are still visible all is now in good order and complete and the enema looks to be in working order, but personally I have not tried it. 	Holloways Ointment Pot M110 Original, quality, mid to late 19th century, small white salve pot, transfer printed for the original contents "Holloway's Ointment, For The Cure of Gout and Rheumatism, Inveterate Ulcers, Sore Breasts, Sore Heads, Bad Legs etc", "Manufactured only by The Proprietor" and "533 Oxford St London". 	Dr Nelson's Inhaler M107 Original, quality pre war, white ceramic inhaler, with a side pipe to the top and transfer printed "Dr Nelson's Improved Inhaler", with the "Directions For Use" within a shield shaped border and most unusually "Boots Family and Dispensing Chemists". 	Maw's Improved Inhaler M104 Original, quality pre war, white ceramic inhaler with a pale blue marbled decoration overall and detailed in a shield shaped panel "Improved Earthenware Inhaler Manufactured by S Maw Son and Thompson, Alderscate St. London, England" and with the "directions for use" to the reverse. Ferris & Co Salve Pot M102 Original, quality, two tone, glazed stoneware tub with a lid, circa 1900/1920's. The front is transfer printed 'Ferris & Co, Bristol', with the trademark. Some minor chips to the inner rim of the lid and to the underside of the jar, otherwise all is complete and in good order. Originally contained a medical salve paste. 5.25" tall x 4" diameter. 	Spring Fleam / Scarifier M101 Original, quality, early 19th Century, cast brass spring fleam with twelve spring steel blades and steel triggers. This clean example is complete and in the original swirled laquer finish and has a twist button for the blade adjustment. This was used for bleeding and cupping during blood letting and surprisingly this one does not have a maker name. All is complete and in good order. Body 2.25" x 2" x 1.5" plus the fittings. 	Surgical Knife M91 Original, quality, 18th or early 19th Century, steel surgical knife with a chequered ebony handle. No makers name, but an 'S' and a Maltese Cross logo. Cased Set of Surgical Instruments M90 Original, quality, fully fitted, mid 19th Century, mahogany case of twelve steel surgical instruments; seven short of the complete set of nineteen pieces, ten having ivory grips. Each instrument is marked for the maker 'Bigg' of London, who were surgical instrument makers in London from 1751 to 1859. What is here is all in superb condition, as is the box with side catches and a key. A great set of instruments, but a shame it's incomplete. Box 9.25" x 4.25" x 2". Price is for the set. Virtues Household Physician, 2 Vols M75 Two volumes of 'Virtues Household Physician' in red leather look bindings and illustrated with fold out manikins and half tone coloured plates. Ivory Handled Surgical Knife? M31 Original, quality, 19th century, superb steel knife with a bone saw edge to the leading top half of the blade. The shaped ivory handgrip has a carved bead around the neck and the blade is marked for the maker 'Goddard 202 Bishopsgate St'. I can find no trace of the manufacturer as a maker of surgical tools, but I feel in my bones this is a surgical knife. Please correct me if you know otherwise. 16.75" x 1.25" 1". 	Savigny Skull Saw M27 Original quality, 18th or 19th century, steel skull saw with ebony handgrip plates and stamped for 'Savigny', the London surgical instruments makers trading from 1720 to 1810. 	Urethra Injection Syringe in a Boxwood Case M23 Original quality Urethra injection syringe, circa 1880, marked for 'Maw, Son & Thompson of London', in the original superb 3 piece boxwood case (each piece screws together). Chemist Pill Machine M12 Original quality, 19th century, mahogany three piece pill machine with brass and steel mounts, used in the chemist shop to hand make pills. Would have been used against the edges of the workbench/tabletop. This example is one of the largest we have seen and will roll and cut 36 large size tablets at a time. A replacement slide-out tray to the end has been made, copied from an original, all has been cleaned and polished and is complete and in good and working order. Gosnell's Cherry Tooth Paste Pot and Lid PL13 Original, quality white ceramic, shallow toothpaste pot and lid circa 1880, with a greeny brown coloured transfer decoration to the top of the lid, with the head of a young Queen Victoria surrounded by text detailing 'Cherry Tooth Paste Prepared by John Gosnell & Co Ltd, London, for Beautifying and Preserving the Teeth and Gums' and 'Patronized by The Queen'. 	Invalid Jelly Jar SJ65 Original, quality 1920's white glazed ceramic pot with transfer detail to the front and impressed mark 1/2 pint to the underside. The top rim has a recess for the cover to be tied on. The details are 'Specially Prepared From Calves Feet By Parker and Son, Confectioners By Appointment' and '18 St Mary's Gate and 12 St Ann's Square Manchester' and 'Invalid Jelly'. Invalid Jelly Jar SJ63 Original, quality, 1920's, white glazed ceramic pot with transfer detail to the front and impressed 1/2 pint to the underside. The top rim has a recess for the cover to be tied on. The details are 'Specially Prepared by Harrison & Company Confectioners by Appointment, 60 King Street Manchester' and 'Invalid Jelly'. This example is crudely hand etched to the shoulder '3.3' and the neck would take a cork not a stopper. All is complete and in good order. 14.5" tall and 4.5" base diameter. Glass Apothecary Jar BJ83 Original, quality, mid 19th Century, clear glass, cylindrical apothecary jar with the original lid and paper label. The label is affixed to the inside and details 'Flores Amom: Persic:'. The tin lid has much of the original black and gilt paintwork and the underside of the glass has a good, sharp pontil. Cast Iron Cork Squeezer CS2 Original, quality, mid to late 19th Century, cast iron cork press as used by the chemist shops and dispensaries to compress small corks before dropping them into medicine bottle necks. This example will take three different sized corks, has deep relief decoration in the form of acanthus leaves and has four feet, each with a countersunk screw hole for mounting to the work table. I know this looks like a door knocker, but it is seriously a cork squeezer. Cleaned, lacquered and complete and in good and working order. 10.75" long including handle. 3.25" tall and 3" widest. 	Bate's Saccharometer SI1 Original quality, 18th or 19th century, Bate's patent saccharometer in the original mahogany box, manufactured by 'Buss, 33 Harton Garden, London'. The fitted interior is complete with the brass float, four brass counter weights and the thermometer mounted on a brass backplate. The thermometer plate and the rod on the float are both engraved with the manufacture's name and address, as is the ivorine plaque to the top of the lid.
