Copper Slipper Box SB1
Original, quality copper clad wooden slipper box circa 1900/1920's. This delightful wooden box is lined in an old material to the inside and clad in beater sheet copper to the outside. The hinged lid is decorated with an embossed Arts and Crafts design of stylised roses and leaves and "Slippers" in upper cased text. Replacement steel buttons have been fitted to the underside, otherwise all is original and is complete and in good order. The copper has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. 14.5" x 10" and 7" tall at back and 5" at front.

Original, quality late 19th century brass framed magnify glass with a nickel mounted ivory handle. This super example has some scratching to the centre of the lens but is still very usable, and in good order otherwise. The brass has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. Lens 4" diam, frame 0.5" and total length 8.75".

Original, quality late 18th century folding pocket brass guinea scale in the original mahogany case. This super example has the original paper label of instructions for use and another paper label detailing the maker "T.Houghton, maker Farnworth near Warrington, Lancashire". This perfect and complete example has a 6" rule in bone, mounted to the edge of the hinged lid. As the lid is lifted the balance will automatically set itself for use and was used for weighing and authenticating solid gold guineas and half guineas. Incredible condition and complete and in good and working order. Box 6" x 1.25" x 0.75" and scale when set up 3.25" tall.

Original, quality late 19th century solid brass padlock of good proportion with a semi disguised sliding cover to the keyhole and the original brass key. This example has an unusual sprung action and is impressed with "1152" and "Strongs Patent" and a masonic motif of callipers and square. All has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. Complete and in good and working order. This is the first we have seen of this model. 5.25" x 3" x 0.75".

This bright example has some damage to the enamel around the outer edges, some scratches to the face and ten holes for mounting. Musgraves Cast Iron Saddle Rack HR119
Original, quality late 19th century wall mounted cast iron harness room saddle rack with polished teak mounts. This example has been cleaned the woodwork refinished and the cast iron repainted black. The underside is embossed for the maker "Musgraves of Belfast", and the backplate has three countersunk screw holes for mounting. A good old repair to the cast iron backplate and one area of the teak has been plugged otherwise all is complete and in good and working order. Other similar saddle racks may well be available on request. Backplate 13" wide x 10" tall and total 19.5" front to back.

Original, quality late 19th century, possibly continental, circular biscuit box in nickel with a hinged lid with a 'Puma' finial and two "Indian Elephant Head" side mounted handles. The whole of the lid and sides are covered in Acanthus leaf decoration and the plinth in birds and leaves. The underside is impressed "J.S 24290". A wonderful biscuit barrel, the best we have seen. Has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and complete and in good and working order. Base 6.75" diam, body 5.25" diam and total height 7" including puma.

Original, quality mid to late 19th century oak cased surface mounted door lock with the original sheet iron decorative mounts, an old key altered to fit and an old wrought iron keep again, altered to fit. The oak has been refinished, and the lock and mounts and the keep have all been cleaned and lacquered. All has been fully overhauled and is complete and in good and working order. Lock 9.75" x 6" x 1.5".

Original, quality late 19th century continental glass 'double bubble' soda syphon with a pewter top collar, lever and tap and a lattice canework covering overall. The pewter collar is impressed "Veritable Seltzogene D. Fevre Paris" to one side and 'Despose' to the other. The canework is near complete and in good order with just a few minor breaks, and the glass and pewter mounts are complete and in good order, but this item is now for decoration only for it originally would have been pressure filled. A supe looker and not often found in such good order. 19.5" tall and 8" widest diam.

Original, quality 1920's large, impressive framed and glazed fretwork of "The Lords Prayer". This unusual example has a fretted oak frame and a fretworked prayer in several styles of types, a few different brown colours and blue and white against a tin foil background, all behind a clear glazed panel. Some minor parts missing in the frame, the backing has been repapered and some very minor damage in places to the fretwork otherwise all generally in good order and complete. The reverse has been repapered. 33" x 23.5" x 1".

Original, quality late 19th century ceramic toilet jug originally part of an ewer and basin set. This super example is in the form of a stylised seashell with a handle over the top and the crests of waves to the plinth. The handle to the top has simulated binding, and the whole jug is transfer decorated with yellow 'dog' roses with a bright yellow colour overall. The underside is transfer printed for "Bros trademark Stoke on Trent Staffordshire" and embossed with the registration number for the year 1899. All is complete and in good order, with not a chip or blemish in sight. 13.5" x 7" wide and 11" front to back.

Original, quality 1930's/40's all honey coloured oak child's cot with a drop side facility and casters. This super example is all original throughout and in the original finish. The lift out base has a criss cross of wire, and an ivorine label for the manufacturer/retailer "Heal and Sons Ltd London". All will dismantle into five panels for storage and could still be used, providing material was lined to the interior, but more importantly, it is ideal for a film setting in the 2nd World War. Complete and in good and working order. 43.5" tall, 47.5" long x 24" wide.

Original, quality five sections of 1940's/50's stacking bookcases in walnut, manufactured by "Minty Library Specialist Oxford". This superb set has two base units each with a pair of hinged doors, two top units and one middle section. Each section, apart from the base units, is fitted with sliding plate glass doors on aluminium runners, and each has an ivorine label to the inside detailing the manufacturer. The sections will lock together with a concealed system from inside the top of the lower sections. All are complete and in good and working order and are usable set up as in the pictures, other matching sections can be added and fitted when available. Taller 42.5" tall x 35" wide and 14.25" front to back at floor. Lower 32" tall x 35" wide and 9" upper section. Price is for the set.

Original, quality late 19th century cork press as used by the chemist shops and dispensaries to compress small corks before dropping them into medicine bottle necks. This example will take four different sized corks and is in the form of an unrealistic crocodile with its tail in the air as the handle. Each foot has a countersunk screw hole for fixing to the table or shelf. One chip to the base of the tail otherwise all is complete and in good and working order and has been cleaned and lacquered. 11.25" x 4.5".

The finish to the frame gives the impression of mahogany veneer, on reflection a good clean mirror. Exterior 25" x 21" and 1.5" front to back. Visible mirror 19.5" x 15.25".
