	Dewar's Whisky Enamel Sign S136 Original, quality enamel advert, circa 1900, quite an early and heavy enamel sign detailing in bold blue letters "Dewar's Whisky" and with "Perth" and a thistle in red (the Perth in this instance is of course in Scotland the home of Whisky manufacturers). Also detailed to the lower right corner "Permanent 139 Fleet Street" for the manufacturer and a logo "FIC" to the lower left corner. A bright clean sign with chipping mainly to the edges and the top right hand fixing hole missing otherwise complete an in good order. 30" x 16". Click on photo for larger and other views. Simonds Hop Leaf Enamel Sign S129 Original, quality, 1930's enamel advert in the shape of a Hop Leaf detailing "The Hop Leaf" in black on white beneath a black and red Hop Leaf with "Trade Mark". This sign for Simonds Brewery of Reading in Berkshire has six screw holes for mounting and apart from a few minor chips to the enamel is a super clean and bright sign. 	1/2 Gill Spirit Measure M114 Original, quality, late 19th century, 1/2 gill spirit measure in cast nickel, with a side handle. Stamped under the rim "1/2 Gill" and "VR" under a crown and engraved to the underside "George The Fourth" for the previous pub owner. Quart Ceramic Ale Measure M112 Original, quality 1920's, quart sized, ceramic ale measure in superb condition. This example in blue with a white interior and white handle. The 'Custom and Excise' stamp in the glaze details "Quart" over a crown, over "G.R. 19. 'GR' is for the reign of King George V. 	Mochaware Quart Ale Measure M111 Original, quality 1920's, quart sized, ale measure in superb condition. This off white coloured ceramic measure has the Mochaware decoration on a sandy coloured band, and a side loop handle. The 'Custom and Excise' stamp in the glaze details "Quart" over a crown, over "E.R. 19". 'ER' is for the reign of King Edward VII. Pint Ale Measure M109 Original, quality 1920's, one pint, ceramic ale measure with a side handle and a pale blue willow pattern overall design and an acid etched Custom and Excise mark "GR" for the reign of King George IV beneath a Crown over "19". A super looker and complete and in good order. Another similar measure may well be available reference code M98. Base diameter 3.5" x 5.25" tall x 5" wide including the handle. 	Run of 8 Copper Ale Measures M106 Original, quality, run of eight, late 19th Century, graduated, copper 'Haystack' ale measures with pouring lips and side handles. The largest being four gallons, ranging down to three, two, one and half gallon, quart, half pint and half gill. All are marked to the front with the sizes, all have custom and excise lead stamps, or the remains of, and the following have makers plates - four gallon and two gallon 'Farrow and Jackson', three gallon 'Lumley' and one gallon 'Loftus'. Although all have minor dents and scuffs, they are all complete and in super condition otherwise. All have been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer can be removed, if required, at no extra cost. Doulton Salt Glazed Ale Mug M101 Original, quality, late 19th Century, two tone, salt glazed, one pint ale mug decorated with three applied scenes of gentlemen smoking and drinking and a scene of a rider on horseback, blowing a horn with seven hounds chasing a stag. The underside is impressed 'Doulton Lambeth England' for the maker and '1947' code number. This example is fitted with a silver plated band to the rim, stamped for Mappin and Webb and engraved 'P. J. Biddle', 'Old Boys Race July 3rd 1895' and 'Hanley Grammar School'. A superb Doulton tankard; absolutely perfect. 3.5" base diameter, 5.25" tall and 5" wide including handle. 	Pewter Ale Measure Jug M97 Original, quality, 19th Century, pewter, quart sized measure jug / tankard with a side handle and a good pouring lip to the front. Pint and 1/2 Pint Ale Measure M82 A pair of original, quality, late 19th Century, cast nickel, pint and half pint ale measures with side handles. Stamped under the rim 'Pint' and 'VR' over a crown, over '21 LCC' and 'Half Pint' and 'ER' over a crown and '239 LCC'. Both are also engraved in script to the front 'Kings Cross Distillery'. Most of the silver plating has worn away, but the solid nickel looks better. 	Copper Ale Measure M65 Original, quality mid 19th Century copper ale measure, with a pouring lip to the top and a side loop handle. The front is stamped '1/2 Gallon' and inside the top flange is 'GR', a crown and a makers plaque for 'J Sissons & Co of London'. The top flange is a little dented and the handle more so, but otherwise all is complete and in good order and has been polsihed and lacquered. 8.5" high, 7" base diameter and 9.5" wide including handle. Silver Plated Tankard M63 Original, quality 1920's/30's, half pint tankard, with a side handle and a military crest affixed to the front, with a lion on a crown above and detailed "Honi Soit L.V.Pense" and "Sancte et Sapienter" which translates to' Shamed be he who thinks evil of it' and 'With holiness and with wisdom'. 	Doulton 3 Handled Mug M61 Original, quality, late 19th Century glazed stoneware tyg, with figures in relief of a stag hunting scene to the lower parts and various tavern scenes of people drinking to the upper. The three handles are in the form of hounds and the top rim has been dipped in a darker ochre brown glaze. The underside is impressed 'Doulton & Co Ltd Lambeth', and all is perfect with not a chip nor crack in sight. Tams Pint Measure M57 Original, quality, late 19th century, cream coloured pint ale measure with the custom and excise mark to the glaze detailing "VR32" beneath a crown. Transfer printed to the front "Crown Pottery" within a wreath and above "Patent Government stamped measure, John Tams of Longston Staffs Earthenware Manufacturer". Oak Framed Bevelled Pub Mirror M47 Original quality rectangular shaped, bevelled pub wall mirror, circa 1880/1900, with a wide light oak frame, and a cut design representing grapes with painted leaves and vines to the back of the glass. 	Cast Iron Pub Table with Mahogany Top F136 Original, quality, late 19th Century cast iron table base with an original, circular mahogany top. The base has three leg sections with a central adjoining shelf, all in an aesthetic movement design, and is embossed to the underside with the registration number for the year 1890. The cast iron has been stove enamelled gloss black and the mahogany refinished. An unusual of a cast iron pub table, complete and in good order. Top 24" and 29" high, 20" diameter spread of feet. Marble Topped Pub Table F135 Original, quality cast iron pub table base, circa 1900, with an off white and veined circular marble top with a bevelled edge. The round, cast iron base has three supports, a central adjoining shelf and has the figure of Bodicea with a shield of the Union Jack to the legs, each with a lions paw to the foot. The cast iron table has been cleaned and stove enamelled black. All is complete and in good and working order. A superb pub table or occasional table, ideal for indoor or outdoor use. 	Wills's Capstan Glass Sign A49 Original, quality 1940's/50's, glass advertising sign with a chromed frame and chromed hanging chains. This sign is made using two sheets of glass with black paint to the reverse of the front clear glass with cut out letters and mounted on a sheet of white glass. The details in upper case are "Wills's Capstan" (cigarettes), much blemishing to the black paintwork but a good clean advert otherwise. 30" x 10" x 0.75". Click on photo for larger and other views. Copper Ale Muller A2 Original, quality, late 19th Century, copper ale muller of an unusual form - it appears to be a hybrid shape; half a donkey's ear and half a slipper form. This shape we have not seen before; it's of the highest quality, in thick grade copper with good tinning to the interior, and another bonus is the maker's name stamped on the loop handle - 'John James Monmouth'. Polished, lacquered and in superb order. The lacquer can be removed upon request, at no extra cost. 13.5" long, 6" tall and 5" widest. Click on photo for larger and other views. Price: £300.00


	Johnnie Walker Copper Tray, 6 Matching Available T93 Original, quality 1920's, circular copper drinks tray, embossed with a central picture of 'Johnnie Walker' with "Johnnie Walker" in upper case around the rim and "Born Eighteen Thirty and Still Going Strong" within the picture, also around the inner rim is the distillery address. All polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed if required at no extra cost. Complete and in good order. A great run of matching trays, in super condition. 13.25" x 0.75". Copper Soda Syphon Tray T72 Original, quality, small circular copper tray originally a soda syphon stand now ideal for a visiting card tray or a single glass drinks tray. The floor has a hammered decoration and the underside is impressed with the registration number for the year 1903. 	Oak Tantalus T5 Original, quality, late 19th century, oak tantalus, with a locking top rail, brass mounts and three cut glass decanters with stoppers. The decanters are in superb order, with just one tiny inner rim chip and the stoppers each have minor chips to the stub ends. The brass fittings, lock and handle were originally nickel plated, but now are polished through to the brass and the lock plate is impressed "EPNS". The honey coloured oak has been cleaned and waxed, the brass has been polished and lacquered. All is complete and in good order. WMF 3 Bottle Tantalus T4 Original, quality 1920's, silver plated tantalus, with a locking top cover, the original key and the three original cut glass decanters with stoppers. The underside is stamped for the maker "WMF" and the top section beneath the carry handle is engraved "Presented To Major E.R. O'Connor M.C. by NCO's and Men of C.Coy, on His Retirement After 36 Years Service" and "The Kings Own", with the lion passant. Not a chip or any damage to the three cut glass decanters or stoppers and no rubbing to the silver plate, in fact all is in super order, a good bright finish and complete. 	Tantalus with Jewellery Drawer T3 Original, quality, late 19th century, tantalus with three matching hobnail cut glass mini decanters in a honey coloured oak stand, with a pull out jewel drawer with lock and key to the base. The bottle stand is mounted with a lockable swivel top and carry handle. The Bramah lock to one end is impressed with a crown and "Betjemanns Patent 45717" and the other end again with a crown and "The Tantalus". The drawer unit to the base is mounted with four decorative metal mounts and the drawer has a matching keyhole surround. All the metal mounts, the swivel top and locking mechanism were originally silver plated, but much has worn through, showing the brass from underneath these have now been lacquered. The jewellery drawer is fully lined in pale blue shot silk and royal blue velvet and has a ring section to the front. The key to the drawer and the key to the bramah lock are both replacements made to suit and the underside has the original pink velvet covering and a scruffy but legible label detailing instructions for use. A chip to one of the shoulders on one glass decanter, otherwise all is complete and in superb order and fully functional. A most unusual and attractive item of the highest quality, the first we have seen. Base 10" x 7.25", total height 9". Click on photo for larger and other views. Price: £685.00


Oak Tantalus T1 Original, quality, 1920's, oak tantalus with the pair of original, 'hobnail', cut glass decanters with cut glass, spherical stoppers. The tantalas is trimmed with nickel plated fittings and carry handle to the top, and has a locking, slide out inner tray with key to access the decanters. One decanter is perfect and the other has a base chip, a chip to the base of the stopper and one knock chip to the same stopper, otherwise all is complete and in superb order and very usable. 	Trench Art Wine Coaster SC98 Original, quality, base of a World War One, German brass shell case fashioned into a bottle stand or wine coaster. The exterior is punch decorated with acanthus leaf designs, and the underside is stamped "1917" and "391, Polte, Magdeburg, SP406". All has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed if required at no extra cost and is in good order. 4.75" base diameter x 5" top diameter + 2.75" tall. Stoneware Jug J56 Original, quality late 19th century two tone glazed stoneware jug with a bellied shaped body, a pinch shaped pouring lip and a reeded shaped side handle. The upper half is dark almost black glaze and the lower a warm treacle colour. The underside is impressed "20c". All is complete and in good order. 9" tall, 6" wide x 7.5" including handle. 	A.Bradley, Sefton, Pub. Jug J15 Original quality, 1920's, brown glazed water jug, simulating an oak cooper made jug, with embossed figures of a short gentleman drinking at a table and a horse with a handler standing by with a whip. Barman's Folding Knife FK30 Original, quality, 1920's, pocket tool kit carried by hotel barstaff etc, stamped to the steel knife blade for the maker 'Crown' or 'Brown' 'Liverpool'. This tool comprises a knifeblade, sprung to use as a cigar cutter through the hole in the side, corkscrew and champagne wire cutter all in nickel side covers, superb and in complete and working order. 	W.Cowan Matchstriker MS21 Original, quality, late 19th century, off white, coloured circular shaped, stoneware matchstriker, transfer decorated to the top "W.Cowan Ltd, Distillers, Belfast" and with two transfer cameo's of Cowan's trade marks for 'Special Scotch Whiskey' and for 'Old Irish Whisky'. Minor discolouration to the underside and an edge knock to the inner rim. Matchstrikers like this were used on a pub or shop counter and filled with matches which were struck on the rough exterior body. All is complete and in good and working order. 4.25" x 2". Brass Match Holder MS13 Original, quality sheet brass match holder with striker pad, in a shoe horn shape with a hole for wall hanging on a nail. 	1925 Ebony and Brass Beer Pulls PB2 Original quality ebony and brass beer pump pulls manufactured by Gaskell & Chambers dated 1925, with a pair of fancy brass beer taps of a similar vintage all mounted on a mahogany bar top plinth. Eli's Patent Decanter DL2 Original, quality, late 19th Century, glass decanter with a cut and polished design to the shoulders, neck and underside and a silver plated patent stopper and pouring cap to the top. The collar is impressed 'Eli's Patent', the mounts are rubbed and the copper is 'bleeding' through in places, otherwise, all is complete and in good and working order. 	Quiktil Change Machine CM2 Original, quality, oak cased, counter top change machine to change 10/- and £1 notes for silver coinage. The hinged top lid with a lock and key, opens to reveal five clear glass tubes for the coins; two tubes for 2/6 (half crown), two for 2/- (florin) and one for 1/- (shillings). One coin from each tube equals 10/-. The bottom drawer at the front, when pulled out, will release one coin from each tube onto the brass slope, this action is required twice for £1 worth of change. The cabinet is all original and in the original finish, with the remains of two transfers, detailing 'Quicktil' and 'Patent 1926', it comes with a large quantity of coins in the tubes and one 10/- note and one £1 note. 	Commemorative Glass Decanter CC75 Original, quality 1937, clear glass three sided decanter with a moulded glass crown shaped stopper and cut and engraved designs- different to each of the three sides "1935 GRV Jubilee", "1936 ER VIII Abdication", 1937 GR VI Coronation". Each shoulder also has a different cut and engraved detail, an English rose, Irish shamrocks and Scottish thistles. The underside is etched for the manufacturer "Royal Brierley England". This decanter is perfect with no chips or cracks but it does have water stain marks to the inside. A very unusual commemorative piece, the first we have seen. 10.25" tall x 5" base diameter. 	Crook of Swindon Soda Syphon SS26 Original, quality 1920's, clear glass soda syphon, with a chrome plated top. The etched detail to the glass is for the supplier of the original soda water "W.Crook Swindon" and also details "Please Return Syphon As Soon As Empty". The chrome top is impressed "William Leese of Swindon" and the original paper label to the shoulder is for "Leese Ing's" soda water of Swindon.
