Wither's Fireproof Safe S90 Original, quality late 19th Century, two door fireproof safe, with an interior drawer, a full set of keys and all the original brass fittings. The exterior has been stove enamelled black, the interior cold painted primer grey and the brass polished and lacquered. Each door has a separate lock each with a different key, this permits access to one side only with one key and to both sides with the two keys. The pair of makers cast brass plates detail 'S. Withers of West Bromwich, near Birmingham, Patent Impregnable, Fireproof Safe'. The right hand door has a climax detector lock and the left hand door has an eight lever safe lock. All has been fully overhauled and extra keys have been made to suit; so now included are two keys for the climax detector, two keys for the other eight lever lock and one key for the inner drawer. John Lowe Fireproof Safe S67 Original, quality, 19th century, fireproof safe, stove enamelled blue to the outside and cold painted primer grey to the inner. The inside is fitted with two lockable drawers and a removable steel shelf and the hinged front door has the original brass fittings; a keyhole surround with a swinging cover, a turning brass handle in the form of a fist with a document roll and the brass maker's plate. The keyhole cover is detailed 'Unpickable Lock' and the makers plate 'John Lowe, Patent Fire and Burglar Proof, Safe Maker of Manchester'.
