Newbury Railway Station Enamel Totem Sign R36 Original, quality post war, enamel "totem" sign from Newbury Railway Station. Although this sign is from 'British Rail' it is in the 'GWR' colours and comes from Newbury in Berkshire. GWR Registration Plate R30 Original, quality, circular, cast iron registration plate detailed in relief: '1948, Standard 20 tons, 7522. Registered by the GW Ry Co', for the Great Western Railway Company. These plates were carried by wagons to advise the date of its manufacture, the weight it could carry, where it was registered for use and its registration number. Salters Railway Parcel Balance S108 Original, quality, 1920's, cast iron parcel scale with a flat steel weighing slab and a circular brass dial with a central pointer. The face is calibrated in pounds and ounces up to 56lb and is impressed "Salter's Improved Railway Parcel Balance No22, Silvesters Patent" and "Made in England" with the knotted rope (the trade mark of Salter and Co). All has been cleaned, lacquered and fully overhauled, complete, working and superb order. An unusual example the first we have seen. GWR Wrought Iron 9" Door Bolt DB230 Original, quality, late 19th century, blacksmith made wrought iron surface mounted door bolt with a replacement keep made to suit. The bolt has six screw holes for mounting and the keep has two, the backplate is stamped "GWR", for Great Western Railway.
