Ebonised Dress Cane WS25 Original, quality, late 19th century, ebonised Gent's dress cane with a silver plated handle in the form of a deer's stump antler section, impressed patent and with a hallmarked silver collar. The handgrip is the first we have seen and appears to be cast, simulating a stump antler or possibly a real antler section covered in copper and then silver plated. The hallmark on the collar is rubbed, but it is a UK hallmark. Some wear to the silver plating with copper bleeding through, otherwise all is complete and in good order. 35.5" x 2.25" x 1.5".
