	7lb Cast Iron Weight W105 Original, quality, late 19th Century, 7lb, cast iron weight with a square base, a tapered body and a flat loop hand grip to the top. The front centre is embossed '7' over 'lb' for the weight. Has been cleaned and lacquered and is complete and in good order. Base 2.75" square and 5.75" tall. 	7lb Brass Weight W103 Original, quality, mid 19th Century, cast brass, bell shaped, grocer's/butcher's counter 7lb weight with a top loop hand grip and many marks, including '7lbs' to the top of the grip and date stamps including 'VR 519' for the reign of Queen Victoria and 'G IV' for the reign of King George 4th. Brass Weights on Stand W102 Original, quality, late 19th Century, set of cast brass, grocer's / butcher's shop counter weights, set in the original, circular, cast brass stand. The three smaller weights are replacements made to suit and are of the correct weights - 1oz, 1/2oz and 1/4oz - and the five larger original weights are marked accordingly - 2lb, 1lb, 8oz, 4oz and 2oz. A very unusual set of weights; probably used with a good set of brass beam scales. These examples have been polished and lacquered and are now complete and in good order. 	14lb Brass Avery Weight W80 Original, quality 1920's, cast brass, 14lb bell shaped butchers' or grocers' shop counter weight. This example is stamped 'Avery Ltd', has the War Department arrow mark and '14lb' to the top of the handle. Any of these brass, bell shaped weights over 7lb are hard to find and this is a super clean example, polished, lacquered and complete and in good order. 9" high x 4.25" widest. Stack of Siddons Weights W79 Original, quality set of seven circular weights circa 1900/1920's. The four cast iron are embossed 'Siddons', these being the 2lb, 1lb, 8oz and 4oz, and the three small brass ones being 2oz, 1oz and 1/2oz, are all stamped 'J & J Siddons'. Siddons were huge iron founders at West Bromwich. All have been cleaned and lacquered and are complete and in good order. 3.5" diameter and 3.25" high. Price is for the set. 	Butchers' Weights - Run of 10 W74 Ten original, quality, 1920's cast brass butchers'/grocers' weights of the bell shaped form with matching handgrips. This run of weights, 7lb to 1/4oz, has various marks to the underside and both the 4lb and 2lb both are stamped "Herbert and Sons Ltd, West Smithfield". All are complete and in good order, a good clean run of weights. 7.5" tall x 3.75" diameter down to 0 .75" tall x 0.5" diameter. Price is for the run of ten. 	Run of 4 Nickel Weights W56 Run of four original, quality matching, 1920/30's, nickel butcher's or grocer's shop weights 7lb, 4lb, 2lb and 1lb. These models are referred to as bell weights, due to their shape. These examples, in super condition, still retain the custom and excise lead plug to the underside. 50lb Brass County Weight W32 Original, quality, cast brass 50lb 'County' bar weight, circa 1900, used by the weights & measures dept. Custom & excise, for checking retailers' scales and weights. Engraved to the top '50lb' and 'Avoir', to one side, 'Borough of Stafford' for the county as used and 'De Grave & Co, London' to the other side for the maker. Many very clear custom stamps can be seen to the front side, the earliest being 1904 up to 1961. An unusual, impressive brass weight with good provenance.
