	4lb Brass Weight W142 Original, quality, pre-war, cast brass bell shaped butchers' or grocers' counter weight. Impressed "4lb" to the top of the ring handle and "W&T Avery Ltd" to the shoulder. Polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed if required at no extra cost. A very clean example, complete and in good order. Base 2.75" diameter x 5.75" tall. Brass Steelyard Weight W141 Original, quality, late 18th or early 19th century, pear shaped brass weight from a steelyard scale. This early example has a seamed brass case filled with lead and fitted with a wrought iron loop to the top, and weighs 5lb. Hard to find. 	7lb Brass Bell Weight W140 Original, quality, late 19th century, 7lb cast brass bell shaped butchers' or grocers' shop counter weight. Stamped "7lbs" to the top of the hand grip, "VR 254" with a crown over the top to the shoulder and various other area stamps. Set of Siddons Weights W139 Original, quality 1920's, set of circular weights from 2lb to 1oz in cast iron, and the 1/2 and 1/4 ounce in brass. The cast iron weights are embossed "Siddons" for the manufacturer 'J & J Siddons, of West Bromwich' and with the size 2lb, 1lb, 8, 3, 2 and 1 ounce. 	14lb Brass Weight W138 Original, quality 1920's, cast brass bell shaped, butcher's or grocer's counter weight, impressed "14lb" to the top. Set of Kenrick Weights W135 Original, quality set of seven matching nesting weights, all marked "AK and Sons" for the manufacturer 'A.Kenrick of West Bromwich'. The 4lb, 2lb, 1lb, 8oz and 4oz are in cast iron and the 2oz and 1oz are in brass. The five cast iron weights all have a decorated outer rim and the two brass ones are both marked with the custom and excise stamp for 1870. 	Run of 9 Brass Bell Weights W120 Original, quality, run of nine similar, late 19th Century, grocer's or butcher's bell shaped, brass counter weights. These have not spent their life together but are of a similar age and the correct order of sizes; 7, 4, 2 and 1lbs and 8, 4, 2, 1, and 1/2 ounces. They all have various letters and numbers stamped to the body and to the underside and many have clear 'VR' marks for the reign of Queen Victoria. All have scuffs and dents, consistent with a working life. They have been polished and lacquered and are complete and in good order. Set of Rogers & Co Apothecary Weights W117 A set of original, quality, mid 19th Century, brass apothecary weights with the six circular weights in the original matt gilt finish. Embossed to one side 'Standard' and 'P. Rogers & Co' and calibrated on the reverse for 3 drams, 1 dram, 2 scruples, half dram, 1 scruple and half scruple. 	50lb Brass County Weight W32 Original, quality, cast brass 50lb 'County' bar weight, circa 1900, used by the weights & measures dept. Custom & excise, for checking retailers' scales and weights. Engraved to the top '50lb' and 'Avoir', to one side, 'Borough of Stafford' for the county as used and 'De Grave & Co, London' to the other side for the maker. Many very clear custom stamps can be seen to the front side, the earliest being 1904 up to 1961. An unusual, impressive brass weight with good provenance.
