Original, quality circa 1900 / 1920's Edwardian inlaid mahogany glazed display cabinet / table. This clean and dainty example has square tapered legs with a shaped cross stretcher layout beneath, a lift up hinged glazed top lid with a lock and key, four glazed side panels and faded lime green shot silk lining to the interior. The original finish is faded overall but is generally in good order with the odd old repair to the veneer and cross stretcher. All now complete and in good and working order.

This exceptional wall light has a serious Art Nouveau design of sinuous stems and a shaped backplate and can be purchased with or without the original vaseline gas shade and shade holder. Has been wired with modern three core flex and a new brass UK bulb holder. The gas tap, as seen, is now fixed to permit the electric conversion. Fully overhauled, polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. Complete and in good and working order.

This unusual example has a swivel arm mounted on a cast brass wall bracket with four countersunk screw holes for fixing to the wall. The embossed detail in relief has acanthus leaves and ribbing and has a dragon mounted to the top. Wired with modern three core flex and a new brass UK bulb holder. The gas tap, as seen, is now fixed to permit the electric conversion. Fully overhauled, polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and complete and in good and working order. Original, quality pre war, cast brass frame from the front of a postage stamp dispensing machine originally fitted to the outside of a post office or to a pillar posting box. This good example has 'Postage' 'Stamps' embossed to the top and bottom, has the four mounting bolts and nuts and the original plate glass all weather hood. Polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and in good order, although incomplete.

Original, quality very clean horizontal enamel advertising sign detailing "Colman's Mustard" in dark blue text on a yellow background. This bright enamel sign has six screw holes for mounting and is printed below the bottom line "July 05" for the year of manufacture 1905 and "Patent Enamel Co Ltd Birmingham" for the manufacturer of the sign. Some very minor rust marks and complete and in good order.

Original quality, larger than average male otter mounted by 'Rowland Ward' Taxidermists circa 1900. This all glazed cabinet is trimmed in a bamboo frame and has the typical groundwork for the subject and is etched to one corner to the inside of the glass for the Taxidermists "The Jungle, Rowland Ward 7.2.5, 166 Piccadilly" (London). The quality of this mount is as expected from Rowland Ward and this style with the bamboo trim and signature, is their top of their range for special commissions. We have cleaned the inside and outer of this display and placed some crystals within to further protect the specimen from mites etc. All is complete and in good order.

This unusual example has a brass base with turned finials between two circular rings, mounted on three pad feet, one is a replacement made to suit. The brass has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost, the beadwork top is in super condition and the two original feet are impressed to the underside "S. Hall" for the manufacturer.

Original, quality late 19th century very narrow all copper kettle. This unusual example that looks ridiculous, has a tinned interior, a long pouring spout, a side handle and long narrow hinged lid with a thumb grip impressed "L". These were designed to stand on a ledge against the grille on the front of a kitchen range or similar and would boil a small amount of water very quickly. Polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and complete and in good and working order.

Original, quality late 19th century / circa 1900, huge Shop Counter, two tone glazed stoneware ginger beer dispenser. This superb example, one of the largest we have seen, is perfect to scale in proportion and the cup handles to the shoulder is another first. The front is transfer printed for the supplier of the original contents "Abbot Bros. Hove". Some minor chips to the stopper, otherwise complete and in good order.

Original, quality First World War twin branch brass trench gas alarm horn. This very unusual example has twin flared and curved trumpet horns with a single mouthpiece and a ring for a lanyard mount, one flared end is stamped "D.R.G.M" and 'Signal' with an arrow through its logo. Polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost, in super condition and complete, when blown a loud twin note is sounded.

Original, quality late 19th century oval shaped copper cooking pot with the original oval tinsmith made lid and wrought iron side handles. This example has a bain-marie facility to fill the cavity with water hence the inner pan will sit surrounded by the boiling water only. The screw-on brass filler cap has a safety chain to retain the cap to hand. If required for use the inner surface would need to be re-tinned. The label to the handle on the lid is missing, otherwise all is complete and in good order and has been cleaned and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost.

Original, quality and exceptional pair of adult Kingfishers with six young as a nest scene in a glass fronted cabinet on bun feet mounted by Joseph Travis of Saffron Waldren circa 1900. This most unusual example is in wonderful condition with good groundwork, very clean interior paintwork, realistic presentation and an assortment of labels. We have cleaned the inside of the glass applied crystals to keep away the mite and retaped where necessary and repainted the exterior leaving the label remains to be visible. Again an exceptional example by this skilled Taxidermist.

Original, quality pair of late 19th century fireside bellows in superb condition. This example appears to have been fully refurbished with new leather and brass studs, although it's hard to decide, they may just have been well looked after and all be original. Nevertheless, the quality of the leather and brass is faultless. The brass top plate has an embossed design of song birds on branches and the spout is in cast brass. The brass is polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and all is complete and in good and working order with a serious puff.

Original, quality late 19th century superb oak coal tender with the original finish, the original faux on the coal lid and cast brass carriage wheels and axles in the unpolished green colour. The sides of this example are detailed "G.N.R", "1741" and the registration number for the year of manufacture 1894. The lid has a lock and key and will lift to reveal oak lined compartments for cigarettes, perhaps cheroots and matches also the match striker. All is complete and in superb original condition with all the wheels moving well. These were often mounted on mini rail tracks down the centre of the huge banqueting tables along with a Tantalus or two, on wheels for wine and a coaster for cheeses. Complete and in good and working order.

Original, quality circa 1900, Novelty letter clip with a cold painted colourful parrot's head with glass eyes and a nickel plated clip action, all mounted on an ash backboard. Probably continental we believe the head to be made of spelter but who knows, it could well be cold painted bronze. All very clean with slight bleeding of the brass through the nickel plating. The first we have seen of this model and complete and in good and working order.

The first we have seen this large and probably made for use on board a ship.

Original, quality 1920's bright and clean white on blue rectangular shaped enamel advertising sign detailing "Littles Fluid Powder & Paste Sheep Dips" with a circular central black and white illustration of a ram's head. Also detailed to the lower edge for the manufacturer "Morris Little & Son Ltd Doncaster" and "The Patent Enamel Comp Ltd B.H" for the sign manufacturer of Birmingham. This exciting example has eight holes for mounting and has old restoration, mainly to the outer edges with the central cameo of the rams head and surrounding areas without restoration. A great find of a good subject matter but it comes at a cost. The first sign of this example we have had to date.

Original, quality late 19th century brass table dinner gong with a decorative cast brass stand with a circular brass gong suspended within, all on a pierced brass plinth with supports for the gong hammer. A replacement oak base has been fitted and the brass has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. The underside of the plinth is impressed with the sun logo and "WT&S" for the manufacturer 'William Tonks & Son of Birmingham'. The gong hammer has a light oak stem matching the base of the stand and the gong frame has acanthus leaf and floral decoration in great detail and a winged cherub or imp to the top. A most unusual table gong, the first we have seen of this model.

Original, quality late 19th century copper hot water jug with a hinged "Stein" type lid, a pouring lip, an ebony side handle, a tinned interior and a super decorative side seam. The underside is impressed with the trademark for the manufacturer Henry Loveridge & Co of Wolverhampton. Loveridge's designs were very often very similar to those of Dr Christopher Dresser, nevertheless, this example has a strong Art & Crafts or Aesthetic Movement influence. Polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and complete and in good and working order.

Original, quality late 19th century Corinthian Column oil side lamp with a tapered column and an elaborate cut glass font. This example has all the original fittings with a Messengers' patent twin 1" wick burner with a snuffer lever and lifting key for the gallery to enable the lamp to be lit without removing the shade and chimney. The burner has both the wick controls on one stem and is impressed "Hinks Duplex Patent". Fully overhauled, polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and all is complete and in good and working order, with no wear to the silver plating, a superb example. Original, quality late 19th century brass vesta case in the realistic form of a pig. This example has the striker ribbing to the underside and the head is hinged to access the matches. Most unusually this pig has a hole to the top of the snout for use as a "Go to bed" match holder, polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. Complete and in good order.

Original, quality nickel plated advertising Vesta case manufactured by "Perry & Co. Steel Pen Makers", to commemorate Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee in 1887. This unusual item was probably given away or sold with Perry pen nibs and with a secondary use as a Vesta case, hence the ribbed striking surface to the top of the lid. All is complete and in good and working order.

Original, quality ceramic plate decorated to the front with a cartoon in sepia by Bruce Bairnsfather with the caption "Give it a good 'ard' un Bert. You can generally ear' em fizzing a bit at first if they are going to explode". The reverse is detailed in a green cameo "Made by the Girls of Staffordshire during the winter of 1917 when the boys were in the trenches fighting for Liberty & Civilization" and with the logo for the manufacturer "Grimwade's Stoke on Trent". Complete and in good order.

Original, quality late 19th century grocers shop counter sized Toleware Treacle dispenser. This most unusual shop fitting manufactured in tin has much of the original painted decoration, the original brass mounted white ceramic knob to the lid and the original cast iron cutter to the front of the spout. The front details "Best Treacle" in uppercased shadowed text and all is complete and in good order but not suitable for food use.

Original, quality late 19th century chemist shop run of 33 mahogany fronted drawers taken from a larger run of drawers and re-covered in mahogany top, plinth and sides. Each drawer has the original moulded clear glass knob (all matching), a mahogany front and original pine to the sides, floor and back, no plywood to be seen. Complete and in good and working order.

Original, quality mid to late 19th century, all mahogany buffet / dumb waiter side unit. Each shelf has a shaped gallery to three sides and bevelled edges. The four columns are reeded and all stands on four bun feet. A most unusual layout of shelves, all original, with a good grain and colour and complete and in good and working order.

Original, quality late 19th century cast iron fender with brass fittings and rails. This clean example has an 'Art Nouveau' detail in relief to the cast iron body and the original steel floor. The cast iron has been cleaned and lacquered, the floor cleaned and repainted black and the brass polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. Some minor dents to the brass ball finials otherwise all is complete and in good and working order.

Original, quality patented 1912 nickel vesta case, for early waxed matches. This unusual example has a celluloid panel to the hinged lid with a picture of a large open top motor car of the time with five black cats aboard and advertising "Black Cat Cigarettes" and detailing also "Carreras Ltd" the cigarette manufacturer. This box has a concealed release for the spring catch on the lid, push the middle hinge at the back inwards and the lid will spring open. Overall a good clean case although the picture has a few minor and small brown stains but otherwise all is in good and working order and a very unusual item.
