Original, quality pair of Royal Doulton ceramic biscuit barrel manufactured circa 1900 to 1930's with both pieces transfer printed to the underside "Royal Doulton England Copyright" and "made especially for Mc Vitie & Price Edinburgh & London". The coloured decoration to the tub has a Dutch scene in green and yellow and is perfect with not a blemish in sight. This is the first we have seen. Complete and in good order.

Original, quality circa 1900, white ceramic grocers' / butchers' counter weight in the cottage loaf shape. This clean example is transfer decorated in dark green, with "Imperial 2lb" to the top "W.T. Avery Birmingham" in ribbon swags to the shoulder and a decorated band to the base rim. The underside has retained the customs lead infill which is impressed "VR", "200" and "94". This super weight has just one edge knock to the bottom rim, otherwise all is complete and in near mint condition.

Original, quality late 19th century oak cased, surface mounted door lock with an inset wrought iron lock, with the original key and a replacement keep been made to suit. This good example does not have the provision for a handle only the key turn. The lock has four screw holes for mounting and the keep has two. All has been cleaned and fully overhauled and is complete and in good and working order.

All is complete and in good and working order.

This serious run of eight wall mounted hooks are rivetted to the original wrought iron flat rail and each have a super curve and curled over tip creating a smooth and safe finial. Ideal for display or as a coat rack cleaned and lacquered and complete and in good and working order.

Pair of original, quality matching late 19th century Scottish, circular exterior cast brass bell pulls. For use with a tight wire, non-electrical bell system. One surround is embossed "Servants" and the other "Visitors" and both have cast brass central pullout knobs. One knob is a replacement made to suit and replacement rear springs and washers have been fitted. Other parts required to operate this system are usually available in stock. Fully overhauled and complete and in good and working order. Most difficult to find these pairs and this is the first we have seen of Scottish ones.

Original, quality circa 1900 / 1920's picture framed wall mounted glazed display of five bullfinches, four males and one female. This superb example has the birds mounted on the backboard with glass to all five panels and mounted within and to the front of the original "Oxford" plaster finished frame with brass mounts to each cross over, all in an ecclesiastical look. There is no label remaining but this display was typical for George Bazeley of Wolverhampton 1871 - 1958. We have cleaned the glass inside, deposited crystals to keep away mite and retaped all round. As good as it looks, a superb and very attractive display.

Glazed area 13.15" x 5.5".

Original, quality late 19th century Royal Worcester ceramic wall bracket with the head of a 'Dog of Fo' with tusks. This most unusual example has bold colours of blue and green with heavy gilding to the high points. Although complete, it does have old damage with a firing crack to the reverse turning into a hairline crack to the top and a few minor chips to the top front edge, otherwise all is complete and in good order with a Worcester mark to the reverse. This wall bracket was purchased during the filming of an episode of Dickinson's Real Deal for ITV in Crewe in Cheshire.

Original, quality late 19th century superb heavy cast brass ornamental fire front or hearth ornament in the form of a Gothic Revival front of a building. This example, the first we have seen, has pierced arched top windows to both sides and three to the front. The reverse is impressed with the registration number for the year 1892, the square hand-cut brass nuts to the reverse holding the three panels together are replacements made to suit and all has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and is complete and in good order.

Original, quality late 19th century 24 drawer entomology cabinet in mahogany. The drawers are in original finish pine throughout with a pair of mahogany knobs to each, re-papered cork bases and provision for a drop in glazed panel. Some glass is included, most is absent, but can be supplied if required. The doors have a lock with two keys, the mahogany veneered top has a split to the front and the side is showing signs of a pair of handles that have been removed. This cabinet is far too heavy to be carried with side handles. Otherwise all is complete and in good and working order.

The blade is etched "Bread Knife" in script with a harvest scene around and the silver ferrule is engraved "Wednesday C. C" (for Sheffield Wednesday Cricket Club), "1904" and "Percy Bowker, Average 60". The silver hallmark is also for Sheffield 1904. Complete and in good and working order. A most unusal presenation piece.

Original, quality 1950's all copper catering pudding steamer cabinet manufactured by G. FE Bartlett, Kitchen engineers of Bell St, London NWI. This super cabinet has a hinged door to the front with a catch, provision for five perforated metal shelves and a water tank to the floor with a cranked brass tap and a carrying handle to each side. The front of the door has a detailed makers' plate and all is in good order and in the unpolished green patinated colour.

The main sign also has four countersunk screw holes for mounting flat if required. Complete and in very, very good order.

The anvil has a blunt end and a pointed end opposite, the working plate has a good surface with minor pitting only and a tapered square hole for inserting accessories. One small hemispherical former is included. The stand, also very heavy, is an original stand for anvils and will take a variety of sizes. Complete and in good and working order.

This late 19th century example was produced between 1871 to 1885, has a cameo of Winchester Cathedral, an adjustable calendar to one end, 2 calibrated 6" rulers one in "French Centimetres" and the other in "English Inches" and a very detailed postal price list for the year for, Letter Post, Newspapers, Parcels, Books, Telegrams, Postal Orders etc. Complete, in absolutely mint condition and in good working order.

Original, quality late 19th century superb quality steel smoothing plane with a hickory infill, front grip and closed saw grip handle to the rear. The brass lever cap has a knurled screw and the two piece cutting iron (blade) is impressed "I Sorby Cast Steel Sheffield". One side of the steel body, is stamped for a previous owner 'W.Low' but no makers name can be seen. All is complete and in good and working order.

This example was a promotional item produced for "The United Asbestos Co Ltd of 161 Queen Victoria Street London". One side has inch and metric calibrations and the other side has diagrams of various builders materials carried in stock of the time. Really in super condition and complete. Lots of detail.

Original, quality late 19th century continental cast brass inkwell in the original unpolished matt gilt finish. This superb example is depicting a fox wearing a cloak, inside an umbrella and mounted on a circular stepped plinth. The fox is very realistic with the glass eyes. The original glass liner to the inkwell has been retained. All is complete and in good and working order. This is the first we have seen of this example and what a beauty.

Original, quality post mounted cast iron G.P.O. posting box issued from 1913 to 1936. This good example is embossed "Letters Only" above the postage slot and 'GR' to the door in large letters for the Reign of King George V. the lock has two replacement keys cut to fit and a pair of steel loops also made to suit will enable this box to be fitted to either a telegraph pole or a lamp post as origianlly intended. All is complete and in good and working order, perhaps just needing a fresh coat of paint.

Original, quality late 19th century barrel-shaped copper storage tub with carrying handles to the side, horizontal ribbing to the upper and lower sections, a good dovetailed vertical seam, some old small repairs and a great original finish colour, cleaned and waxed. Possibly an old Fishmonger or Butcher's tub. Generally in good order.

Original, quality, early 19th century or earlier, garden roller with a stone roller mounted with blacksmith made wrought iron frame and 'T' bar handle. These rollers were often made using sections from old stone pillars. This example has a good lichen covering, old green paintwork to the ironwork and is a great looker all round. Complete and in good and working order.

Original, quality rectangular shaped white enamelled letterbox front circa 1901 to 1911, from an all wooden wall mounted letterbox manufactured by James Ludlow 24 Albion St Birmingham. This very clean example is detailed in black with "ER" and the crown for the Reign of King Edward VII and "Post Office Letter Box" with six screw holes for mounting. Complete and in good order.

Original, quality 1920's narrow enamel sign detailing "PleaseShut the Gate and use Cooper's Dips" ( Sheep Dips ) in dark blue text on a yellow background. Some chipping to the enamel on three of the four corner screw holes and the odd surface chips elsewhere to the enamel. A most unusual enamel plaque and complete and in good order otherwise.

Original, quality 1930's / 40's large very clean enamel sign advertising Wills's Flag Cigarettes, detailing "Smoke Wills's Flag Cigarettes Empire Blend" with a flying Union Flag to the centre. This super large sign is detailed to the bottom edge for the manufacturer "Imperial Enamel Co Birm". Has two cut out shapes to the top rim, these are from new and interestingly there are No signs of mounting holes around the other three edges. First of these signs we have seen.
