Original, quality late 19th century solid brass padlock of good proportion with a semi disguised sliding cover to the keyhole and the original brass key. This example has an unusual sprung action and is impressed with "1152" and "Strongs Patent" and a masonic motif of callipers and square. All has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and is complete and in good and working order. This is the first we have seen of this model.

Original, quality 1920's circular copper inkwell with pen holes and deeply embossed decoration of tulip flowers and stylised leaves. The inkwell is superbly rivetted to the circular base with brass rivets and the original lid has still survived. This item is not marked for Newlyn, but it does have all the signs otherwise. Polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and complete and in good and working order.

Kents Egg Beater
Kents Egg Beater
See our "Kitchenalia" section for current stock of similar items

Original, quality, late 19th century, white ceramic container, the base of a two piece egg beater and batter mixer. The cast iron and steel whisk would have been mounted on the top two side rests, but is long gone. This part is profusely transfer printed in pale blue for the maker, detailing "Kents Improved Monroes Patent Egg Beater and Batter Mixer" and other references to "Exhibition Prize Medal Awarded in 1851 and 1862" for the Kents Rotary Knife Cleaner. This ceramic base is complete with no chips, but there is considerable discolouration and crazing to the base foot. A rare find.

8" tall x 5" widest.

Base 4.5" diameter.

Original, quality 1920's superb stuffed perch in a glazed bowfront case with glazed end panels and good groundwork, as expected from this the best taxidermist of fish in my opinion. This example has gilt lines to the inside of the front bowed glass panel and a paper label on the backing board inside top left corner detailing "Preserved by J.Cooper and Sons 28 Radnor St, St Luke's London EC". A very clean genuine case with a good specimen in a life like set up.

Case 12.5" tall plus hanging loop.

20.75" wide.

6.25" front to back at centre.
