Original, quality 1920's, blacksmith made wrought iron four tined hay fork with the original ash shaft. The ironwork is impressed for the manufacturer "Spear and Jackson" and has been cleaned and lacquered and the ash shaft cleaned and waxed. Complete and in good order. 60" total length x 9" wide, shaft 1.5" diameter.

Desk Barometer B10
Original, quality, late 19th century, aneroid desk barometer, with a frame and stand in brass fashioned as a horse shoe, a hunting horn, a riding crop and a pair of whipple trees. The loop shaped stand is hinged to fold flat for storage. The central barometer has a detailed enamelled dial and "Made in Paris". All has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. Complete and in good and working order. A most unusual desk barometer. Dial 3.5", toal 10" tall x 8.5" wide, 3.5" front to back when up + 2.5" folded down.

Original, quality, late 19th Century, tethering chog turned in lignum vitae, as used to tether single grazing animals i.e. horse, goat or sheep. This would be used with a loose noosed chain or rope to keep the animal from choking. Complete and in good order. Lignum vitae is one of the few, very heavy woods that will not float and is ideal for lathe turning. 3.5" tall and 3.25" diameter. Price is for each. Original, quality heavy horse brass haime plate worn across the top of the haimes worn around the collar. This example was issued to commemorate the Golden Jubilee of Queen Victoria's 50 years Reign on the Throne of England. This shaped plate has two loops for the leather strap behind and is impressed "Jubilee 1837 - 1887" and has a lead model of The Queen's portrait side view in relief. The lead profile is rather rubbed but is recognisable, and otherwise all is complete and in good order. Original, quality, superb leather, heavy horse martingale with four commemorative brass faceplates, circa 1900. The two lower brasses were issued after the death of Queen Victoria and are engraved 'Victoria the Good 1819 - 1901' and the two upper brasses were to celebrate the coronation of King Edward VII in 1902 and are engraved 'God Save the King Edward VII'. The leatherwork is in good order throughout and is fitted with two original brass buckles. A stunning set of brasses difficult to better. Polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. Complete and in good order. Length as in picture 37" and 3.5" wide.

Original, quality late 19th century, wall mounted cast iron harness rack with polished teak mounts and a brass horseshoe shaped mount to the front. The ironwork is in the old paintwork and the backplate has four countersunk screw holes for mounting. This example was manufactured by Musgraves of Belfast, athough it is not marked as such and these were supplied to the very best stable yards for top properties. This is the first one we have seen with the front brass mount and a tack hook incorporated inside. We are sure this was supplied like this from new for the extra section to the front has no other mounting holes if it was to be fixed to the wall. Cleaned and lacquered and complete and in good and working order. Backplate 7" tall + 8" wide and 7.5" front to back.
