	Plynine Stoneware Bottle BJ160 Original, quality, circa 1900, buff coloured stoneware bottle of the beer bottle shape, with the original black composition screw in stopper. The front of this example is transfer printed "Plynine Co Ltd Edinburgh Household Ammonia", the stopper is also marked accordingly and the reverse has "It is illegal for any other than the Plynine Co Ltd to refill this bottle with ammonia". 	Pair of Ceramic Apothecary Jars with Lids BJ158 Original, quality pair of late 19th century dark green apothecary salve pots in ceramic with the original lids. Both these pots have suffered damage with stains and chips but no cracks. The one with the painted label has two chips to the base rim and some tiny minor chips to the top rim and lid and the other has two chips to the top inner rim and bad stains, otherwise all is complete. 	Glass Apothecary Jar BJ83 Original, quality, mid 19th century, clear glass, cylindrical apothecary jar with the original lid and paper label. The label is affixed to the inside and details 'Flores Amom: Persic:'. The tin lid has much of the original black and gilt paintwork and the underside of the glass has a good, sharp pontil. 	Stoneware Lard Tub DP258 Original, quality late 19th century Scottish stoneware lard tub, decorated around with impressed bead and ribbed patterns and with side handles. This good example is impressed for the manufacturer "A.W Buchan & Co. Portobello Scotland" and to the front in blue type for the supplier of the contents "Irvine R. Stirling Family Grocer, Tea, Wine & Spirit Merchant 2 St. Leonard Street Edinburgh". These lard and butter tubs originally had waxed card lids. This is a very detailed example but it does have a hairline crack to the base but is complete and in good order otherwise. 7.5" tall x 8.5" top diam. Click on photo for larger and other views. 	Haywards Glass Fire Grenade FG24 Original, quality 1920' moulded amber coloured glass fire grenade, embossed to the front "Haywards hand fire grenade". These grenades were original filled with a solution of sodium bicarbonate and the whole grenade was thrown into a small domestic fire to extinguish the flames. This clean albeit empty bottle has no chips or cracks and is complete and in good order otherwise. 6.5" tall. 5" diameter. Click on photo for larger and other view. Price: £145.00


	Hardens Star Glass Fire Grenade FG21 Original, quality, late 19th century, blue moulded glass fire grenade, with the top seal intact and the original contents. These grenades were originally filled with a solution of sodium bicarbonate and the whole grenade was thrown into a small domestic fire to extinguish the flames. This example is embossed with the star logo to the front and "Star" and "Hardens Fire Grenade, Fire Extinguisher" and to the underside with the registration number for the year 1884 and has a uneven moulded underside and will only free stand at an angle. A good clean example of this bright blue grenade with one sizeable chip to the top rim otherwise complete and in good order. 6.75" tall x 4.6" diameter. Click on photo for larger and other view. 	Pair of Blue Glass Fire Grenades and Basket FG19 Pair of original, quality, late 19th century, blue glass fire grenades with the original wire rack to take three grenades. Both bottles are perfect, one is empty and the other is still sealed with most of the original contents and some of the original paper label. These grenades were usually filled with a solution of sodium bicarbonate. The whole grenade was thrown onto a small domestic fire to extinguish the flames. The wire rack was designed to sit on a shelf or hang on a nail on the wall. Not common examples, complete and in good order. Each bottle 7" x 3.25". total 2 bottles in rack 12" x 9.5" x 4.5". 	Timothy White Footwarmer FW96 Original, quality 1920's / 30's cylindrical, buff coloured stoneware hot water bottle to be filled with hot water. This example has a screw off stopper to the top and transfer printed to the front "Timothy White Ltd Reliable Household Stores". Complete and in good and working order. 10" x 4" diam. 	Ideal Stoneware Footwarmer FW91 Original, quality 1920's buff coloured stoneware hot water bottle / footwarmer decorated in blue and detailed 'Ideal' in a ribbon swag to each side and "West Bros Battersea" for the retailer to the front. The screw in stopper has a chip under the rim, otherwise all is complete and in good and working order. 	The Wintawant Stoneware Footwarmer FW89 Original, quality 1920's two tone glazed stoneware cylindrical shaped hot water bottle with a brown screw in stopper on a dark brown neck with a buff coloured body. Transfer printed "The Wintawant" to the front and "Bourne Denby England" for the manufacturer to the underside. Complete and in good and working order. 10" tall. 4" diam. 	DBC Stoneware Footwarmer FW65 Original, quality 1920's, coffee brown and glazed stoneware hot water bottle. This example is transfer printed to the front "DBC Famous For Value" and has the original black composition screw in stopper. The stopper is embossed "The Domestic Bazaar Co Ltd", so we all now know what 'DBC' stands for. Complete and in good and working order. 10" tall x 4" diameter. 	Stoneware Hot Water Bottle FW35 Original, quality, 1920's/30's, flask shaped, buff coloured glazed stoneware foot warmer, with two side loops to the shoulders to attach a carry cord and a screw off stopper. 	Small Stoneware Glazed Jug J180 Original, quality 1920's small two-tone glazed stoneware jug with a pouring spout with a perforated back to it, a strap handle to the rear and a beaded pattern in relief between the two colours of stoneware. No makers mark but it feels and looks Scottish, a tiny chip to the handle and it could well be missing a lid, I'm not sure, otherwise all is in good order. 4" tall x 3.25". 5" including handle and spout. 	Doulton Aquarius Tilting Wash Jug J146 Original, quality late 19th century Tilting Toilet Jug on the original cast iron stand. The Toilet Aquarius was an invention by J.J. Royle of Manchester and manufactured by Royal Doulton. This example was manufactured between 1891 and 1902 and was a special commission for Abram French & Co of Boston USA. The cast iron stand has been painted white in the past which could be removed if required and bears the registration date of 1902. The jug has various transfer printed details to the underside and is decorated top side with yellow chrysanthemums and acanthus leaves detail. Both the jug and the cast iron stand are in good order with no chips or cracks etc. and are complete. A fabulous find, the third one I have had in the last 40 years. 	Doulton Silicon Ware Beaker J145 Original, quality circa 1880 / 1910 Doulton of Lambeth stoneware lemonade beaker very cleverly and realistically simulated "copper beaker" made from panels of rivetted copper, but actually made from Doulton glazed stoneware. This example, from a range of products manufactured by Doulton, has lots of simulated rivets, several simulated dents and a hallmarked silver top rim. Other matching items may well be available. The underside is impressed "Doulton Silicon Ware" and with the registration number for the year 1889 and all is complete and in good order. 4.25" tall x 3" widest top rim. Base 2.25". 	Stoneware Bird Feeder PF9 Original, quality circa 1900, two tone glazed stoneware poultry / bird, drinker / feeder, impressed '1p' for the size ( 1 pint ). The principle is self filling; hence, the birds will not soil the water. This example has some old damage with a hairline crack around the front cover over the pan and some minor chips to the front of the roof over the pan, which have been smoothed down and one surface chip to the shoulder, otherwise all is complete and it will hold water. 7" tall x 4" wide. 6" front to back. 	Lignum Vitae Codd Bottle Opener T22 Original, quality 1920's, codd bottle opener turned in lignum vitae, with the original rubber mount. These were used to depress the marble seal in the patent 'Codd' lemonade bottles thus allowing the gas to escape and the marble to fall back enabling the lemonade to be poured. 	Stoneware Oval Spirit Barrel SB12 Original, quality mid to late 19th century two tone glazed oval shaped stoneware spirit barrel. This good example has two bands of grapes on vines embossed to the coffee coloured glazed areas, an embossed swag to the front for the name of the spirit and an embossed Royal Coat of Arms of a form. The barrel is also impressed '4' for the size and for the manufacturer "Port Dundas Glasgow Pottery". 	5 Green Ceramic Storage Jars SJ262 Original, quality run of matching square 1930's kitchen storage jars in green ceramic with handles to the front and underglaze titles for "Coffee", "Tea", "Raisins", "CastorSugar" and "Cherries". The cherries is half the size of the rest, one perfect small lid for the cherries and two damaged lids only for the larger sizes so two missing completely. Push in cork lids could be purchased new I'm sure. The underside of the jars is transfer printed "Bristol Kitchen Ware, Poutney & Co Ltd" and with the registration number for the year 1937. 	Stoneware Foster Mother VT54 Original, quality late 19th century two tone glazed stoneware "Foster Mother", for feeding orphaned piglets. This super example had provision for nine teats to be fitted and when filled with milk this would feed up to nine orphans. This model was fashioned on the foot warmer shape with a knob to the front and a screw off filler cap to the top.
