	Pair of Ceramic Apothecary Jars with Lids BJ158 Original, quality pair of late 19th century dark green apothecary salve pots in ceramic with the original lids. Both these pots have suffered damage with stains and chips but no cracks. The one with the painted label has two chips to the base rim and some tiny minor chips to the top rim and lid and the other has two chips to the top inner rim and bad stains, otherwise all is complete. 	Glass Apothecary Jar BJ83 Original, quality, mid 19th century, clear glass, cylindrical apothecary jar with the original lid and paper label. The label is affixed to the inside and details 'Flores Amom: Persic:'. The tin lid has much of the original black and gilt paintwork and the underside of the glass has a good, sharp pontil. 	British Medical Assoc Car Badge CB51 Original, quality pre-war nickel plated on brass car badge with an aluminium backing. This example details to the front "B.M.A" and "British Medical Association" with the logo of two entwining Serpents. The reverse is impressed "Birmingham Medal Co". 	Cast Iron Cork Squeezer CS6 Original, quality, mid to late 19th century, cast iron cork press as used by the chemist shops and dispensaries to compress small corks before dropping them into medicine bottlenecks. This example will take four different-sized corks, has deep relief decoration in the form of acanthus leaves and has four feet, each with a countersunk screw hole for mounting to the work table. I know this looks like a door knocker, but it is seriously a cork squeezer. Cleaned, lacquered and complete and in good and working order. 11.6" long including handle. 4" tall. 3" widest. 	Kenrick Cast Iron Cork Squeezer CS4 Original, quality, mid to late 19th century, highly decorative cast iron cork press as used by the chemist shops and dispensaries and / or for wine bottling, to compress corks before dropping them into the bottle necks. This example will take three different sized corks and is the most decorative we have seen, both the top and base are covered in deep relief detail of acanthus leaves. The underside of the handle is impressed "No 7" for the model size, "A.Kenrick and Son" for the manufacturer and iron foundry of West Bromwich. 	Cast Iron Cork Squeezer CS2 Original, quality, mid to late 19th century, cast iron cork press as used by the chemist shops and dispensaries to compress small corks before dropping them into medicine bottle necks. 	Steel Dental Tooth Key DF18 Original, quality late 18th or early 19th century steel dental tooth key with the original bone handle and original adjustable key. The spring is a replacement made to suit and all is now complete and in good and working order. Has been cleaned and lacquered. 5.25" long. Hand 2.75" x 0.75". 	Mahogany Dental Cabinet DF16 Original, quality late 19th century multi-drawer dental cabinet in pale mahogany. These were carried on home visits or by dental students during training. This example has six drawers, five with glass to the floors. The hinged top reveals a baize lined layer and a pullout locking rod which runs through the drawer fronts below. The top is locked with a key and the two sides have catches for extra safety. The top also has a fold down nickel carry handle and a bakelite nameplate for a previous owner, impressed "T.L Barker". The exterior mahogany has been re-finished and the nickel fittings polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and all is complete and in good and working order. 	Steel Dental Scrape DF14 Original, quality 19th century steel dental tooth scrape with an arrow shaped blade on a tapered octagonal steel neck and ebony grip. 	Nickel Flour Scoop FD4 Original, quality 1920's nickel scoop of a super slender shape and balance, appears to be just a great version of a flour scoop but I feel it had a more interesting purpose, what do you think ? 	Copper Asthma Kettle K149 Original, quality 1920's copper kettle of unusual proportions, we think perhaps an asthma kettle to produce steam. This example has conical sides, a wrap over strap handle, a very flat circular bottom, a circular lid and a long tapered spout joining the kettle well down the side. Polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and complete and in good and working order. 9.5" tall. 8.25" diam base. 9.5" wide including spout. 	Ceramic Medicine Measure M251 Original, quality pre-war white ceramic tapered measure with a foot and pouring lip calibrated to the interior from 10ml to 40ml and transfer printed to the underside "Graduations approximate only". 	Surgical Trepanning Saw M206 Original, quality circa 1900 / 1920's nickel and brass Trepanning saw for surgically drilling holes into the human skull to extract a circular section. 	Improved Inhaler with Glass Tube M205 Original, quality 1920's small size white ceramic inhaler with the original cork and glass mouthpiece. The front is transfer printed "Improved Inhaler for hot water infusions & c" and "The water used with this should be boiling and the inhaler not more than half full. 	Chemists 2 Piece Pill Roller M203 Original, quality late 19th century mahogany and brass two piece chemists pill rolling machine. This clean example has a reeded section in brass and a stop to the underside of the baseboard to catch on the edge of the table or shelf and the reeded plate is marked "6, 12, 18, 24" for the number of pills. The upper sliding section has the matching reeded section and brass guides to the underside. The brass has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and the mahogany refinished. All is complete and in good and working order. Base 13" x 6" x 1.5". 	Monaural Stethoscope M202 Original, quality circa 1900 / 1920's Monaural Stethoscope turned in beech. 	Copper Boiler with Lid M199 Original, quality late 19th century copper boiling pan of the bellied form with a turned wooden side handle and a lid with a central hole and a wooden handle above. This super-quality pan has the remains of a brass maker's label for "Maw Son & Thompson" on the top of the lid. But we have been unable to find any reference as to what it was used for and what is missing if anything. In good order. Pan diam 9.25". Total including handle 15". 9.5" tall including handle. 	Blue Glass Personal Spitoon M198 Original, quality 1920's Bristol blue glass personal pocket travelling spitoon with the original nickel plated circular lid with a sprung catch. 	Copper Asthma Kettle M190 Original, quality circa 1900, very stylish shaped copper steam kettle for treating asthma and other chest ailments. This super looking steam kettle has an all in one copper body section with a filling aperture, a steam spout and a tubular brass handle over the top. One or two very minor dents and all has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and is complete and in good order. 9" tall. 8" wide including spouts. 	Chemist's Cork Borer Sharpener, 2 available M188 Original, quality 1920's chemist tool for sharpening brass cylindrical cutters used to make corks for medicine bottles. This very clean example has a brass cone shaped insert to house the blade and a turned fruitwood handle. 	Maws Practical Bedpan M176 Original, quality unusual variation on the pure white invalid ceramic bedpan. This example has a proven more comfortable shape, a handle to the rear and is transfer printed to the side with the registration number for the year 1909 and to the underside with the trademark for the manufacturer "Maw Son & Sons London". 	Maws Double Valve Inhaler M174 Original, quality circa 1900, white ceramic inhaler decorated in blue transfer print with a garland of roses around the shoulder and neck and "Maws double valved earthenware Inhaler, manufactured by S. Maw Son & Thompson", with the logo to the front and "Directions for Use" to the reverse. This inhaler originally had a glass insert to the top with a mouthpiece. 	Down Bros Medical Instrument Box M168 Original, quality, circa 1900, mahogany fitted box for a set of medical instruments. The exterior has an inset brass shield plaque for engraving the owner's initials and a pair of locking hasps and the interior is fitted out to house surgical instruments and with a lift out fitted tray and an ivorine plaque detailing "Down Bros 21 St Thomas St London". 	Ebony and Steel Trochar and Canula M160 Original, quality early 19th century steel trochar with a shaped ebony grip and a slide on silver canula, probably manufactured by "H. Wright 32 London Rd London", surgical instrument makers at this address from 1832 to 1843. This was part of the 'Richard Merry' set Ref code: M156. 	Pair of Steel Liston Amputation Knives M158 Pair of original, quality early 19th century "Liston" amputation knives with good clean and sharp steel blades and checkered black ebony grips. The blades are impressed for the manufacturer "H. Wright 32 London Rd London", surgical instrument makers at this address from 1832 to 1843. This pair of knives were part of the 'Richard Merry' set Ref code: M156. Very clean examples and complete and in good order. Large 12.5" x 0.75" x 0.5". Small 10" x 0.75" x 0.5". 	Surgeons Instrument Chest M156 Original, quality early 19th century, mahogany fully fitted surgeons empty instrument chest with a velvet lined lid, fitted top section, a slide out drawer to the lower half and brass mounts to the top corners, keyhole, recessed flush side handles and a plaque to the centre top. The plaque is engraved for the original owner "Robert Merry" a surgeon of the time. This chest did contain a few of the original instruments but was far from complete, one of these instruments circa 1830's/1840's may well be available Ref codes: M155, M157. This chest has a good colour, but it does have scuffs and stains to the finish and some shrinkage to the underside but is generally is in super condition, and it has the original working lock and key. 17" x 11" x 5.5". 	Surgeons Amputation Saw M155 Original quality early 19th century steel amputation saw with a checkered ebony grip, and the makers stamp detailing "H Wright 32 London Rd London", Henry Wright were Surgical Instrument manufacturers at this address from 1832 to 1843. This saw is in perfect condition with not a stain to the steel and no chips or cracks to the ebony grip. A fine example now over 170 years old. This saw was part of an incomplete surgeons set in the original fitted mahogany box, with the original owner's name engraved to the top "Robert Merry" who was a surgeon of the time. 	Pair of Ear Cornets Hearing Aid M140 Pair of original, quality 1920's, celluloid 'faux tortoiseshell' ear cornet hearing aids. Each cornet is attached to the headband and can be adjusted up and down to suit the head size and shape and the ear pieces are also moveable for comfort. Each cornet is impressed "WKS", "KOWE" and "DRGM" German for patent. These were manufactured in Germany for the UK and European market and this example is complete and in perfect condition and really does work. The idea was to conceal the cornets within your hair and particularly for the Ladies. Rare to find these undamaged. Each cornet 3.5" front to back x 3.5" and 1.5".
