Red Deer Slot Electric Side Lamp T91* Original quality red deer hoof/slot hunt trophy mounted on an oak pedestal and wired up with modern three core silk covered flex, a new brass bulb holder, switch and a three pin plug. The lacquered copper top mount is engraved "Bob Sept 6th 1930, Glencripesdale". A clean example complete and in good and working order as a lamp. Base 5.75" diameter x 13.5" total height. 	Mounted Horse Hoof T86* Original quality, 1920's, horse hoof mounted with a brass shoe and top mount with a circular tray, probably for a pin tray on the desk. The top mount is engraved to the front 'Walford' and all has been polished and lacquered, a super colour and condition and complete and in good order. 4.75" x 5.5" front to back x 4" tall. Horse Hoof Candlestick CS79* Original quality horse hoof mounted with a brass shoe and top mount in the original unpolished finish and engraved to the front 'Prudence 1912 to 1932'. This example has a match holder tub beneath the turned boxwood lid and a super silver plated candle stick. An unusual item of superb quality complete and in good and working order. 	Horse Hoof Letter Rack LR23* Original quality pair of horse hooves, circa 1900/1920's, mounted with brass shoes and top mounts and a letter rack fashioned with three varying sized stirrup forms. A very unusual letter rack in super condition. All has been polished and lacquered and is complete and in good order. 8.25" wide x 7.25" tall x 5.5" front to back. Silver Mounted Horse Hoof Inkwell IW20* Original quality, late 19th century, hallmarked silver mounted racing horse hoof with a close hinged lid and a polished glass inkwell to the inside. The cap to the ink may not be silver but all the other mounts are hallmarked English silver, that is the top simulated hair mount with hinged lid and the thick silver hoof to the base. The lid is engraved with a wreath of oak leaves and 'Old George' to the centre, the text on the ribbons to the lower section of the wreath reads 'Nulli Secundis' in upper case. 	Huge Wrought Iron Trap T31* Original quality, late 19th century, blacksmith made wolf or leopard trap, probably continental. Made on the pole trap principle with round serrated jaws, a circular tread plate and a side eye for the tethering chain. A great trap of huge proportions now illegal to use, of course. The largest we have seen of this type. Cleaned and wax finished. Jaws 10" wide, base 16.5" x 13.75", 8" height. Click on photo for larger and other views. Price: £450.00


Wrought Iron Egg Set Trap T30* Original quality, unusual late 19th century, blacksmith made wrought iron trap to catch egg stealing birds or animals. This would have been set with an egg of a game bird and placed set ready in the bottom of a nest. The weight of the egg holds the trap set and when the egg is lifted off the trap, will spring to the locked position. It appears to have had very little use, has been cleaned and lacquered and is complete and in good order though now illegal to use. Punch stamped only '24' to the spring arm. A hard to find example. 	Glass Fly / Wasp Trap T29* Original quality, late 19th century, free blown clear glass wasp or fly trap, with ground shear top rim. The inner ledge is baited with a sticky sweet liquid to attract the wasps and flies which enter under the base, between the three feet and then find it hard to escape after consuming the sugar. A cork would normally be pushed into the top. 7" tall and 6.75" widest. Click on photo for larger and other views. Price: £75.00


Wrought Iron Otter Trap T27* Original quality, 19th century, blacksmith made wrought iron otter trap, unfortunately the bait plate is missing, and although pitted and weathered the rest is complete and in excellent order, but of course is illegal to use. An unusual trap to find, now cleaned and wax finished. Length 17" plus chain, 7.5" wide and 4.25" tall, jaws 6" wide at base. Click on photo for larger and other views. Price: £200.00

Rabbit Gin Trap T25* Original quality, early 19th century, blacksmith made wrought iron rabbit trap with jaws and the original tethering chain. All is complete and in good order, but illegal to use of course. 10.5" x 3.5" x 2.25". Price: £65.00


	Rabbit Gin Trap T24* Original quality, 1920's, wrought iron blacksmith made rabbit trap with a galvanised bait plate, a brass catch mechanism and the original tethering chain. The release plate and the top arm are both stamped 'James & Co Hungerford' for the supplier. All is complete and in good order but of course illegal to use. Rabbit Gin Trap T23* Original quality, early 19th century, blacksmith made wrought iron rabbit trap with half round serrated jaws and the original tethering chain. The bait plate and one arm of the base have been replaced but otherwise all is original and in good order but of course illegal to use. 11.5" x 5.25" x 3" tall, chain 14.5". 	Wrought Iron Pole Trap T22* Original quality, 19th century, blacksmith made wrought iron, pole trap with smooth jaws. Pole traps were mounted on fence post tops, the favourite haunts of birds of prey which were considered vermin at the time. Complete and in good order, but of course illegal to use. Everitt Rat Trap T21* Original quality, 1920's, patent wrought iron rat trap with a galvanised turned cover. The trap is stamped 'Everitt's Patent' and the brass locking tab is stamped 'H Lane'. 	Rat Size Gin Trap T15* Original quality steel gin trap with the standard bow spring, circa 1900/1920's, impressed to the top 'W.D.& Co.' for the maker. Mounted Bantam Cockerel T90 Original quality, late 19th Century, very clean mounted Bantam cockerel in the original glass fronted wooden cabinet with exceptional groundwork. The label to the inside for the taxidermist details "Preserved by C.P Arthur Melksham". Very clean all round and a great looker. Complete and in good order. 16" x 16" x 5.75". 	Cased Stuffed Fox T89 Original quality superbly presented fox, mounted by W.E Dawes of Camberwell London around 1900. The groundwork is exceptional, the fox is set in a very realistic pose and all is very bright and clean. Rowland Ward Grant's Gazelle T87 Original Grant's Gazelle head and neck mount on the original Rowland Ward oak shield with an ivorine plaque to the front detailing 'Kapiti Plains B.E.A. April 1908' (British East Africa). The skin has shrunk a little in places with a few tears to the neck, but otherwise all is in good order and is a great looker. 15" widest, 38" tall, 18" front to back, shield 15" x 10.5". 	Impala Mounted Head T85 Original quality, 1920's, Impala head and neck mount with horns, on the original oak shield with a wrought iron hanging loop to the top. All is in super condition and very life like. Shield 25" x 15.5", total height 44" and 20.5" front to back. Price: £485.00


Pair of East African Dik-Dik Heads T83 Pair of original quality, well presented, mounted Dik-Dik heads on the original oak shields, dated 1914, and each with a clear label to the reverse for 'Edward Gerrard & Sons, Taxidermists of Camden Town, London'. The shields are detailed to the front 'Dik-Dik, B.E.A 1914' (British East Africa). These head and neck mounts are in very clean condition, one being a young buck and the other a female. 	Mounted Spoonbill T73 Original quality, late 19th century, well presented spoonbill in the original glazed fronted wooden cabinet. This specimen is in extremely good condition and a life like mount. The interior ground work and painted background are of the highest quality, suprisingly no labels for the taxidermist are evident. Cape Buffalo Mounted Head T70 Original quality, late 19th century, huge head and neck mount of a 'Cape Buffalo'. Rowland Ward Wildebeest T38 Pair of original quality small wildebeest horns with a part skull section on the original oak shield, mounted by Rowland Ward, circa 1900. The horns are rather weathered but otherwise all is in good order and the reverse of the shield is chiselled out 'RW' in upper case and '741' is painted on as a reference number. Insect Storage Boxes NH3 38 original quality, late 19th Century, insect storage boxes in the form of a pair of books. Each box is made in wood and covered in textured "leather look" paper and is very realistic when on a bookshelf. Each box has a sealing trim to the inside and is lined in white paper over a thin cork sheet, all have been used and are complete but in varying degrees of condition. All are the same height but some differ a little front to back. 13" tall, most are 10" front to back, all are 3.25" wide. Varying price is for each. Click on photo for larger and other views. 	Pigeon Racing Silver Trophy SG101* Original quality superb hallmarked, solid silver, two handled trophy presented in '1962' for the cross channel average, engraved as such to one side and "Mr & "Mrs W.Taylor Memorial Trophy "Presented by Taylor Bros 1962" to the other side. A super clean hallmark is found beneath the rim and the trophy is mounted on the original ebonised turned wooden base. No knocks, dents or damage and all is complete and in good order. This was purchased on Dickenson's Real Deal T.V. programme in August 2008. 12.5" tall, 4.75" front to back + 6.75" wide including handles, Plinth 3.75" diameter.
