	Corinthian Column Oil Side Lamp OL49 Original quality, late 19th century, oil side lamp with a clear heavy cut glass font, mounted on the original cast brass corinthian column and fitted with a top of the range twin 1" wick burner. This burner has a rise and fall action to permit the lamp to be lit without removing the chimney and shade and is marked "Messengers patent" as is the brass collar to the font. The twin control button for the wicks is marked "Harrods Stores and Messengers". All has been polished, lacquered, fully overhauled and is complete and in good and working order. A super quality side lamp well above average. 23" tall excluding chimney + 33" tall with chimney, base 5.75" square. Amber Tinted Glass Oil Lamp Shade OS45* Original quality amber tinted glass oil lamp shade with a frosted finish and a continuous etched design of sunflowers, circa 1900/1920's. The top fluted edge is all amber in colour which fades to near clear at the base. Will fit a standard duplex double 1" wick burner gallery. One very small chip to the top rim otherwise all is complete and in good order. A great looker and very clean. 6.5" tall, 4" aperture + 8.25" widest. Click on photo for larger and other views. 	Reeded Brass Oil Lamp OL46 Original quality, 1920's, pressed brass oil side lamp with a reeded font, matching base and a duplex twin 1" wick burner and gallery. This will take a standard glass chimney (one is included) and any 4" aperture oil shade. An unusual oil table lamp. All has been fully overhauled and lacquered and is complete and in good and working order. Base 6.5" diameter and 13.5" high, excluding chinmey and shade. Limoges Oil Side Lamp OL45 Original quality, late 19th century, porcelain oil lamp with a lift out font. The urn shaped body is in cream and peach colour with applied gilded magnolia type flower designs and is transfer printed 'G D & Co Limoges France' to the underside of the base for the maker. The best quality brass burner is stamped 'Hinks & Son Patent' and is of the rising form which permits the wicks to be lit without removing the shade and chimney. All is complete and in good and working order. An unusual oil lamp all fully overhauled. 	Pale Blue Oil Side Lamp OL42 Original quality, late 19th century, pale blue two piece glass oil side lamp with white enamelled decoration and a black ceramic base plinth. The Hinks patent twin 1" wick burners and gallery are marked with the registration number for the year 1887 and the wick control button has an off white ceramic button detailing 'Hinks No2 Duplex'. This burner is the top of the range with a control to enable the wicks to be lit without having to remove the chimney and globe, (see pictures). The font will lift out of the lamp base to ease filling etc and all has been fully overhauled, is complete and in good and working order. The brass has been lacquered. Adjustable Brass Oil Side Lamp OL41 Original quality, late 19th century, all brass adjustable, oil side lamp. The flat reservoir is adjustable up and down the central square column. The burner wick controls are marked 'HD & Co Ltd, Birmingham'. All has been fully overhauled, polished and lacquered and is complete and in good and working order. A very unusual oil side lamp, the last we had in this form was stamped with the initials of a Railway Company and was used previously in the station master's office. 	Brass Ship's Oil Lamp OL34* Original quality all brass ship's oil lamp, manufactured by 'Bulpitt & Sons' of Birmingham, circa 1910/1920. Primarily used during the 1914-18 war. The rear white painted reflector is a replacement made to suit, copied from an original, and the large key to the door lock is an old key altered to suit, otherwise all is original and fully overhauled. The burner slides out for filling; the inner hood slides out for cleaning and enables the top outer hood to swing back for access for cleaning or removing the glass panes. The front key locks the glazed side door and the smaller key on the chain permits the wick to be adjusted without opening the door and therefore not permitting the wind putting out the lamp by accident. The whole lamp can be carried by using the top mounted swinging handle with the turned wooden grip, or it can be mounted on the bulkhead by using the clip fitting to the rear panel. All in all a fantastic, well thought out, oil lamp with the odd minor dent and minor pitting, all is complete and in good and working order. 16" tall with handle down x 8" wide x 5" front to back. Oil Side Lamp OL22 Original quality, late 19th century, oil side lamp with a cut glass font on a reeded brass, tubular column over a circular black ceramic base. A replacement brass burner and gallery has been fitted, there are a couple of minor chips to the underside of the font and the brass fitting holding the font onto the column is also a replacement, otherwise all is original and in good and working order. Although the chimney is included in the price, the shade is not but may be available. The brass has been lacquered. 26" tall including chimney, 16.25" excluding chimney and base 6.75" diameter. 	Brass Oil Side Lamp OL20 Original quality, 1920's, brass oil side lamp in a simple Art Nouveau style with a twin duplex burner and gallery. The wick controls are marked 'H&G.O.L' for the makers. Some minor blemishes to the brass font otherwise all is complete and in good and working order, with no dents and all has been lacquered. 25" tall icluding chimney, 16.5" tall exluding chimney x 7" base diameter. Wells Cast Iron Engineers Lamp OC11* Original quality, late 19th century, cast iron, oil burning lamp. Impressed to the front 'Wells' for the maker and 'Engineers Lamp No4 Patent'. The burner does unscrew and a very long wick is still usable but the brass wick winding wheel is missing, otherwise all is complete and in good order. 3" diameter base and 5.5" tall. 	Thomas & Williams Miner's Lamp ML5* Original quality steel & brass miner's safety lamp, circa 1900, manufactured by Thomas & Williams. The name plaque to the front is rather worn and is fairly illegible but otherwise all appears to be complete and in good order. 11" high with hook down and 3.5" diameter of base. The Protector Miner's Lamp ML2* Original quality steel and brass miner's safety lamp, circa 1900/1920's. The circular brass plaque to the front details 'Type SL Approved Under Schedule B' and 'Protector Lamp & Lighting Co Ltd, The Makers, Eccles, Manchester'. The hand stamped number is 'No.72'. 	Cranberry Tinted Oil Lamp Shade OS46* Original quality, late 19th century, cranberry tinted etched glass oil lamp shade, will fit a standard duplex double wick burner gallery. This shade is close detailed with designs of climbing flowers including roses, passion flowers and arrowroot. The top is fluted within six panels and the base aperture does have a slight turned rim. 	Etched Oil Lamp Shade OS40* Original quality clear and frosted glass oil lamp shade, circa 1880/1900, with an embossed design to the top and bottom, a diagonal cushioned design and etched with flowers overall otherwise. Some top edge decoration missing which is hard to spot, otherwise all is complete and in good order. Huge Cranberry Glass Oil Heater Shade OS39* Original quality, late 19th century, all cranberry glass oil heater shade with an impressed cushioned panel design overall. This shade will fit the brass Cathedral hand warmer type heaters. Has a few minor chips to the top ground glass rim, but is stunning and in super condition otherwise. The lower rim has a turned over lip so it will fit a gallery and can be used as a hanging electric downlighter if you wish. 11.5" high, 8" widest and 6" lower aperture. This shade has a wavy top rim and is acid etched with designs of roses and briars. Yellow Oil Lamp Shade OS25* Original quality, late 19th century, Victorian glass oil lamp shade, with a diagonal ribbed design in relief to the main body, etched with floral motives, and a fluted, outward turned top rim. The top fluted section is in bold yellow, fading away to frosted and clear to the lower half. Will fit a standard duplex double wick burner and gallery. Complete and in good and working order. Pair of Glass Oil Lamp Smoke Bells SB9 Pair of original quality, 19th century, free blown clear glass smoke deflectors for oil lamps. These would have been suspended from the ceiling above oil side or standard lamps, to protect the ceiling above from the soot and heat. 	Glass Oil Lamp Smoke Bell SB8 Original quality, 19th century, free blown clear glass smoke deflector for an oil lamp. This would have been suspended from the ceiling above an oil side or standard lamp, to protect the ceiling from the soot and heat. This 'thistle head' shape is the most difficult to find. Frosted Glass Smoke Bell SB6 Original quality, 19th century, trumpet shaped frosted glass smoke bell used to deflect heat and smuts from oil lamps.
