Large Steel Oval Dairy Can
Original, quality late 19th century large oval steel diary can with a hinged lid, a brass swing handle and brass fittings. The top lid has a brass mount to the front and back with an engraved plaque to the centre detailing "Musgrave & Co". The reverse has a thick brass loop for hooking onto the delivery float or churn. The rear has a brass strip repair to secure the interior calibrated depth gauge, and the front is impressed for the supplier of the milk for delivery, "Amyand Park Diary". All has been cleaned and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and is complete and in good order.

Thorley's Food Advertising Spill Vase
Original, quality late 19th century ceramic spill vase manufactured by Bretby in the form of a pig beside a feed bin on a grassy patch. The feed bin is embossed "Thorley's Food", the back of the pig is detailed "Who Said Thorley's Food" and the underside is impressed "Bretby England". The paintwork is rubbed in areas to the bin and the back of the pig. Otherwise, all is complete and in good order. This is the first we have seen or even heard of.

Pair of Oak Candelabra
Original, quality pair of late 19th century / 1920's oak three branch candelabra with open barley twist columns and the original brass drip pans. This pair unscrew at the bases to ease packing for travel. All has been cleaned and waxed and the drip pans polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. This is the first we have seen of this style. Complete and in good and working order.

Parker Winder & Church Fireproof Safe
Original, quality 1920's fireproof safe in the original paint inside and out. This smaller example has a drawer to the floor inside with the original lock and key and three keys for the safe door. All has been fully overhauled and has retained all the original brass fittings with the oval makers' plaque detailing "Parker Winder & Church Ltd Birmingham". The brass has all been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost, and all is complete and in good and working order.

Huntley & Palmers Postbox Money Box
Original, quality "Huntley & Palmers of Reading" novelty biscuit tin in the form of a money box / posting box. This example was manufactured in 1933 and entitled "Money Box", has a lift-off lid and the underside is etched "Huntley & Palmers Reading & London England" and "Made in England". Some minor scuffs and scratches, but otherwise a good bright colour and complete and in good and working order.

Brass Reading Stand
Original, quality late 19th century all brass reading stand with a brass mesh panel with a ledge to the lower front and a shaped pediment to the top, a pair of weighted cords to the front to hold open the pages when in use and a decorated brass wire folding easel back stand. All has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and is complete and in good and working order.

Pair of Brass Photo Frames
Original, quality pair of late 19th century brass photo frames in the original matt gilt finish with a pair of old photographs fitted and replacement glass slips. This super pair have rings to the top for wall hanging and decorated pierced folding easel type backstands. All is complete and in good and working order.

16 Pint Brass Water Jug
Original, quality late 19th century huge brass water jug with a tubular handle to the reverse and a large pouring lip. The circular base is impressed "16" for the capacity in pints and "29. J.M" for the maker. All has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and is complete and in good and working order. Fantastic condition with only very minor dents.

Brass Door Knocker
Original, quality circa 1900, brass door knocker of an unusual form. This yellow brass example has a dropped ring knocker mounted on a decorative sheet brass backplate. A replacement knocking stud is included and all is complete and in good and working order.

Mellins Emulsion Glass Advert
Original, quality circa 1900 / 1920's circular overlaid blue glass advertising panel originally fixed to a chemist's shop window. This example is acid etched through the blue overlay to clear glass detail for "Mellins Emulsion for Infants and Invalids", with the "Trade Mark" of a bird feeding chicks in the nest and for the maker "Burnham & London". Complete and in fabulous condition, and the first we have seen.

Georgian Brass Door Knocker
Original, quality late 18th century / early 19th century all brass door knocker of the drop loop design. A proper Georgian knocker showing good wear to the ribbing of the backplate. Replacement nuts and bolts have been fitted and all is complete and in good and working order.

Benson Brass Kettle
Original, quality 1920's Arts & Crafts brass kettle of a shallow form with a cast brass handle and spout. The circular brass lid has a knob turned in cowhorn, and the underside has the impressed mark of three hammers on a shield for W.A.S. Benson. All has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and is complete and in good and working order.

Mounted Peruke Roe Deer Antlers
Original, quality post-war mounted 'Peruke' Roe Deer antlers with the upper skull, mounted on a light oak, shield-shaped backboard made to suit. This very unusual example has a 'Peruke' growth of distorted antlers caused by a hormone deficiency or accidental castration. All natural and all original.

Original, quality pair of 1920's brass photograph frames with random old photographs mounted within. This good pair of frames has beaded decoration on the fronts, cast brass faux ribbon top mounts, and slide-in sheet brass back panels with easel form fold-down arms. All has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and will take up to 9.25" x 7" photos. Complete and in good and working order.

Brass Candle Reading Lamp
Original, quality 1920's all brass candle reflector reading lamp. This example has a circular base, a lift-off cowl reflector and a sprung loaded self adjusting candle. Polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and complete and in good and working order, originally nickel plated.

Lions Cast Iron Bootscraper
Original, quality mid 19th century cast iron bootscraper with a pair of cast iron lions mounted with a grid of scraping bars with a cast iron surround. A pair of brushes converted to fit have been installed. Some good repairs cleaned and repainted black. A grand bootscraper ready to use and costing just under half a grand. Complete and in good and working order.

Copper Turbot Kettle
Original, quality late 19th century large all copper Turbot kettle / Turbotier complete with the inner lifting tray and outer lid. This super example has the quality of "Benham & Froud" but is not marked as such. As the name implies these were used to cook very large flat fish, especially Turbots. The interior tinning is good and all has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. All is complete and in good and working order.

Huge Servants Intercom Bell
Original, quality late 19th century servants' larger than normal intercom bell with brass mounts, steel springs and a central brass boss. Can be pulled from either left or right. For use with a tight wire, non-electrical bell system. Other parts required to operate this system are usually available in stock. Many other bell fittings of differing types may also be available. Often now referred to as 'Downton Abbey' bells. This super example has a replacement brass central boss fitted copied from an original although all otherwise is original. This bell has a good tone and resonance and is complete and in good and working order. The ironwork has been cleaned and repainted, and the brass polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost.

Housekeeper Exterior Brass Bell Pull
Original, quality late 19th century large exterior cast brass bell pull with a segmented shaped pull knob mounted within a dished backplate with an outer border detailing "Housekeeper" in upper cased text. For use with a tight wire, non-electrical bell system. Other parts required to operate this system are usually available in stock. A replacement square bar, spring, and washers have been fitted, and all is now complete and in good and working order.

1 3/8" Steel Shoulder Plane
Original, quality 19th century steel bodied 1 3/8" wide shoulder plane. This very clean example has mahogany infill and wedge and an original "Howarth" cutting blade. This very good, plane for its type does not carry a maker's mark but all is complete and in good and working order.

Large Oval Copper Kettle
Original, quality larger than average late 19th century oval copper kettle with a handle over the top, an oval lid with a cast brass knob and good dovetailed seaming to the body. The underside is impressed "Warranted Hand Hammered" and "L&BW" for the maker. A great looking kettle with no dents and ready for use if required. Polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and complete and in good and working order.

Original, quality late 19th century circular mirrored brass wall sconce with lift-out brass candle holders, a hanging ring to the top and a wide embossed brass frame decorated with floral designs. Bakelite Tea Tray
Original, quality 1920's / 30's rectangular shaped tea tray in flecked brown bakelite with curved ends and cut outs to each end for handgrips. This clean and unusual example has embossed ribbing to the upper surface and all is complete and in good and working order.

Donkeys Ear Box Iron with Slug
Original, quality late 19th century "donkey's ear" shaped nickel-plated box iron with the original shaped wooden handle and the original heating slug. This is the first we have had of this model and a good clean and complete example you would wish to find.

12" Brass Door Bolt
Original, quality late 19th century 12" long surface mounted brass door bolt with the original keep and shaped finial grip. This example has a second steel backplate behind, the bolt has seven countersunk screw holes for mounting and the keep has two. All has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and all is complete and in good and working order.

Brass Letter Flap
Original, quality 1950's / 60's cast yellow brass good sized letter flap with deep embossed "Letters" in capitals on the flap, within the plain surround. This example has replacement springs fitted and the original threaded bolts with nuts and replacement washers. Polished and complete and in good and working order.

Cased Brace of Red Grouse
Original, quality 1920's cased pair of Red Grouse with basic groundwork with a little moss and heather and plain interior buff papered walls. This cabinet has honey coloured oak to the top, underside, sides and frame to the glazed front. A good quality cabinet. Complete and in good order.

1897 Presentation Silver Plated Galleried Tray
Original, quality late 19th century silver plated on nickel rectangular shaped tray with a very unusual gallery, four feet, and a grip handle to each end. This example has a very decorative pierced outer rim profusely engraved in great detail of acanthus leaves, acorns, oak leaves, thistles, roses and shamrocks and to the centre "Presented by The Congregation of St Georges-in-the-Fields Parish Church Glasgow along with a purse of Soverigns to the Rev, James Meikle M.A.B.D, on the occasion of this appointment as minister of the Parish of Alyth 29th June 1897". All is complete and probably one of the best silver plated tray we have seen. Some very minor rubbing, otherwise complete and in good and working order.

Hiatt's Copper Bull Ring in Original Packet
Original, quality pre-war unused copper bull nose ring in the original card packet. The box is detailed "Hiatts Self Piercing wrought copper Bull ring 2.3/4" and in pencil 7/=. The box is a little scruffy but the ring is still sealed in a plastic bag and the copper is stamped "Hiatts". Complete and in good order.
