3 Matching Avery Ceramic Weights W382 Original, quality part set of late 19th century W&T Avery ceramic grocers' / butchers' counter weights. These weights were only in use for a very short period and were made illegal in 1903 or thereabouts. These examples are transfer decorated in green with "Imperial" and "4lb" or "2lb" or "1lb" to the top and "W&T Avery Ltd Birmingham" in ribbon swags to the front. These are in super condition with just minor blemishes. The original lead infills used to counterbalance the true weights are still present. These were made by Wedgwood although not marked as such.

Speaking Tube Fittings IT3 Original, quality 19th century fittings for an intercom system often referred to as 'speaking tubes'. These were mainly used in ships but were also used in chauffeur driven cars and the larger households of several floors who maintained staff. This example has a brass mount to connect two extensions and one has the original whistle and mouthpiece turned in rosewood which will unscrew from the brass mount both the brass chain and the forked tube are in the unpolished finish but can be polished to shiny brass on request for no extra cost. All is in good and working order but only a part of the system. The whistle is very loud.

Shand & Mason Brass Fire Appliance FF99 Original, quality late 19th century heavy cast brass water pump with the original short leather hose pipe and the original ebony 'T' bar handle to the top. The original copper makers plate mounted to the main barrel is detailed "Shand Mason & Co, Fire Engine Makers, Upper Ground Street, Blackfriars Road London". This was used to stand in any water available, streams or ponds, to draw off water to the pump onto a burning fire. This one will probably work today I haven't tried it but it is complete. All has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and is the first we have seen of this model.

Servants Intercom Bell IB335 Original, quality late 19th century servants intercom bell with brass mounts, steel springs and a central brass boss. For use with a tight wire, non-electrical bell system. Can be pulled from either left or right. Doulton Whisky Flask WD7 Original, quality late 19th century square whisky decanter in two colour glazed stoneware manufactured by Royal Doulton. This super example is damaged with a hairline knock to one corner and the handle to the top has been off and glued back on. The applied decoration to the body depicts a horse and hounds chasing a stag and the shoulders have leaves and flowers. The underside is impressed "Made For G. W. Scott & Sons Only" and "9544" and for the manufacturer "Doulton Lambeth England". The handle has an applied decoration "W" for whisky. Despite the damage this is all complete and a great looker with an old stopper included.

Jacob Biscuit Tin T127 Original, quality biscuit tin issued in 1929 entitled "Jacobean Log Box" and in the realistic form of a panelled oak coffer. The hinged lid is covered with an embossed brass sheet detailing. A Farmer returning home to his family with a brace of rabbits. This embossed brass lid is in the unpolished finish and can be polished to shiny brass for no extra cost by request and the underside details "Jacob & Co's Biscuits" for the manufacturer of the original contents. This unusual example is impressed to the underside "Royal Doulton England", "6167", "Silicon". The front is detailed "Royal Warrant to His Majesty the King", and "John Dewar & Sons Ltd Distillers, Perth, NB" with a Royal Coat of Arms. The remaining body is covered with Egyptian-style decoration of beasts and birds and all is complete and in good order.

Doulton Daily Mirror Cartoon Childrens Bowl M143 Original, quality 1930's / 40's children's feeding bowl with a black on white cartoon detailing Pip, Squeak and Wilfred to the centre. These characters were a popular strip cartoon in the Daily Mirror during the Second World War and their names were given as nick names to the three standard medals issued to all UK personnel serving during the Second War. The underside is detailed for the maker "Royal Doulton, Made in England" with a reference to the "Daily Mirror". Complete and in good order with no chips or cracks.

3 Piece Set of Bayonet Fire Irons F295 Original, quality three piece set of steel fire irons fashioned from late 19th century French bayonets. Each piece is an original bayonet with etched details of a location in France and a date, each engraving has different details and dates 1877, 2 x 1879 and 1880. Each bayonet is complete with just the alteration to fire irons. I understand a huge hoard of this model bayonets were discovered in a Military Storage Depot in France in the early 20th century. We have sold fire irons of the same model as these, over the years but they are not too common. All have been cleaned, polished and lacquered and are complete and in good and working order.

Pair of Small Brass Shell Cases SC308 Original, quality pair of small brass "Trench Art" decorated brass shell cases. Each shell case has a monogram to the front within a shield shaped devise and a castellated top rim and both the bases have differing impressed numbers and letters. Probably Second World War. Small Brass Handbell B330 Original, quality late 19th century small cast brass handbell with a cast iron internal clapper a brass ferrule and a handle turned in lignum vitae. A good clean bell with a good tone and resonance. Polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and complete and in good and working order.

Cast Iron Cigar Cutter CC9 Original, quality late 19th century tabletop cigar cutter fashioned as a ladies' shoe. This unusual example has embossed decoration to the ironwork and an internal brass cutter. The side of the brass cutter is detailed with the registration number for the year 1884 and all has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and is complete and in good and working order.

Laundry Crimping Machine L277 Original, quality late 19th century three piece cast iron crimping machine, used when crimping the starched collars and cuffs for maids and nurses or similar. The handle of the roller in the original black paint is impressed "Patent 1880". The middle ribbed plate is placed on / in the fire or oven to heat up and the base unit still with the original paint, is embossed to the underside for the manufacturer "Shephard Hardware Co, Buttalo NY" and "Patented Dec 12 1878". Complete and in good and working order.
