	Decorated Beech Jack Plane P52 Original, quality unused presentation beech jack plane of the highest quality with good detailed carved decoration to the upper surface, wedge and handle. The detail includes leaves and flowers, the date "1937" and the initial "F.S". The unused two piece Sheffield steel blade is marked for the maker "Marples & Co Hibernia" and the fore end of the plane is stamped "Marples, Sheffield England" and "Frankships". 	British Rail ( Midlands ) Steams Gauge R82 Original, quality 1930's brass cased railway steam gauge with a glass panel to the dial and three bolt holes to the back flange for mounting. The dial is calibrated 1 to 100lbs per sq inch and is detailed for B.R. ( M ) British Rail ( Midland ). 	Swindon Stoneware Flagon BJ234 Original, quality late 19th century two tone glazed stoneware flagon of a smaller size with a strap handle to the rear and impressed to the front shoulder for the makers / suppliers of the original contents "William Brown Wine & Spirit Merchant Swindon" and "265". 	Reversible Wrought Iron Rim Lock RL949 Original, quality 1920's surface-mounted wrought iron door lock. Will take a standard modern square bar for the handles. A replacement keep has been made to suit with a replacement key cut to fit. This lock has the provision for a handle turn and a key lock. This lock has a reversible action patented in 1923 and can be used for both left and right-handed doors. Fully overhauled, cleaned and lacquered and complete and in good and working order. 	Hungerford Green Beer Bottle BJ233 Original, quality 1920's / 30's green glass 1/2 pint beer bottle with a blob top for a cork and embossed to the front for the makers of the original contents "T. 	W. I. Cor Aldbourne Bell B334 Original, quality 18th century cast brass bell with a good repair in steel to the hanging eye. This super bell with a super tone, resonates well despite the hole to the side from when it was cast. This bell is embossed to the inside "W.I.Cor" for the bell foundry from Aldbourne and with the village emblam of a dabchick or "Little Grebe". 	Bridgwater Stoneware Flagon BJ231 Original, quality circa 1900, two tone glazed stoneware flagon with a 'ginger beer' bottle shaped, counter top dispenser with a strap handle to the rear and a hole to the base for a tap used by the shopkeeper. The shoulder is transfer printed "Western Counties Wine & Spirit Co, Bridgwater" and "006". Also impressed with the maker of the flagon "Powell & Co. Bristol". 	Glass Storage Jar & Lid BJ232 Original, quality 1920's clear glass storage jar with the original moulded glass lid with a knob finial, both the inside of the neck of the jar and the outside of the lid both have ground surfaces to ensure it's airtight. 	A W Neate Enamel Sign S406 Original, quality pre-war double sided enamel sign with a mounting flange with four screw holes for "Bus Stop" style wall mounting. This example is near perfect to the one side but with some surface damage to other, nevertheless, a very clear and bright sign with black text one white detailing "To Be Sold Agents A.W. 	Copper Coffee Pot CP14 Original, quality late 19th century larger than average coffee pot with a hinged lid and a side mounted turned fruitwood handle. 	Brass Hand Fire Extinguisher FE38 Original, quality brass hand fire extinguisher with the original steel wall bracket. This very clean example has a plate to the front detailing instructions for use, the manufacturer's details "Fire Armour Ltd", 9 George St, Manchester Square London W.I." and the date "1958". The brass extinguisher has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and the wall bracket has retained the original black paint. 	Tally Iron with Poker L287 Original, quality mid to late 19th century cast iron goffering or tally iron on an 'S' shaped stem, a circular cast iron plinth and the original cast iron poker with a wrought iron stem and turned wooden grip. The poker is an original one with a replacement wooden handle made to suit copied from a very wormy original one. This poker is cast with "9 or 6" for the size although this tally iron would have had a larger sized poker originally. These were used to iron collars and cuffs and even earlier to iron large ruffs worn around the neck. Very unusual to find these irons with original pokers, the poker was heated in the fire and inserted in the barrel when required for use. 	Wm Bullock No 10 Tally Iron with Poker L286 Original, quality mid to late 19th century cast iron goffering or tally iron on an 'S' shaped stem, a circular cast iron plinth and an original cast iron poker with a wrought iron stem and turned wooden grip. The cast iron barrel and the underside of the circular plinth are all impressed '11' for the size. The underside is of the plinth is also detailed for the manufacturer "Wm Bullock & Co". The old poker has the size "6 or 9" and has a replacement wooden handle made to suit and copied from the original very wormey one. These were used to iron collars and cuffs and even earlier to iron large ruffs worn around the neck. Very unusual to find these irons with original pokers, the poker was heated in the fire and inserted in the barrel when required for use. 	Cow Horns Table Dinner Gong G176 Original, quality late 19th century Dinner Gong with a circular brass gong suspended between a pair of polished cow horns mounted on ebonised plinths on an oval shaped honey coloured oak base. The horns have nickel mounts and an old beater is fitted to the front of the gong, as is a nickel plaque for presentation etc. All is complete and in good and working order with a super tone and resonance. 	Brass Electric Side Lamp SL433 Original, quality 1920's brass electric side lamp with three shaped legs and a tapered central stem. Has been rewired with modern three-core silk-covered flex, a new brass UK bulb holder, an in-line switch and a three-pin plug. This style of lamp is often referred to as a "Pullman" lamp suggesting these were screwed to the table in the restaurant car of a railway carriage or the same on a passenger ship. These were not used as suggested but were catalogued for a guest room side lamp or wall light using the hole in the foot on a hook on the wall. This example has in fact got three holes, one per foot, for two extra holes seemed to have been drilled out later. 	WT&S Wall Mounted Dinner Gong G175 Original, quality late 19th century wall mounted dinner gong manufactured by W. Tonks & Son of Birmingham. This serious gong in the original finish has a pale oak backboard simulating the castellated top of a building with a bronze / brass "Mythical Beast" mounted to the centre to support the circular brass gong with the original beater in a matching colour finish mounted below. We believe this design was heavily influenced by the stone water overflow gargoyle / spouts taking the roof water out and away from the outer walls of "The Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris. These gongs may even have been made by this Birmingham Maker to celebrate or commemorate an event relating to The Notre Dame Cathedral. All is original with just the cord and the head of the beater being replaced and all is complete and in good and working order with a super loud tone and resonance. Total drop 30". 	Cased Set of Meat Carving Tools C107 Original, quality circa 1900, three piece set of steel meat carving tools, unused and in the original leather paper covered fitted box. The box interior has a purple coloured velvet to the base and purple silk to the lid. The three tools each have matching antler grips, the sharpening steel is marked "T. Turner & Co" and the blade of the knife is etched "Encore, Thomas Turner & Co Culters to His Majesty ( for King Edward VII ). This example again has never been put to use and has never been sharpened but it is complete and in good and working order, waiting to be used. 	Pair of Brass Ship Containers N29 Original, quality pair of late 19th century top quality brass container "Andrew Brown of Glasgow" stamped to the handles "Andrew Brown 1825 - 1957 was managing director of the shipbuilding firm William Simons & Co of Renfrew, the oldest shipbuilder on the Clyde". These super brass containers have large side handles, heavy brackets to slot into wall mounts and screw off top caps mounted with four tubes as pourers or breathers ? I am guessing these are "Saline" testers for ship boilers or possibly safety torches with four wicks for each and fueled by say colza ( vegetable ) oil but I would be pleased for confirmation from anyone. This most unusual example with its keyhole position and the embossed design of mistletoe decoration is almost certainly of continental origin and I would like to think it was a trade exhibition item. We have included a circular brass knocking stud in case anyone fancies it as a whacky front door knocker. These are probably East African in origin but the fittings and three core flex etc are all replacements and all comply with legal and safey requirements. One carved panel depicts a pair of white horses drawing a chariot over the waves and the other three dancing maidens.
