Original, quality late 19th century superb engraved and embossed brass coal helmet of an oval form with a circular pedestal foot to the base, a brass swing over handle to the top and a turned ebony grip with rope twisted supports to the rear. Most of all the tapered bucket shaped body has punched engraved and embossed detail of sunflowers and leaves from top to bottom. Some minor dents consistent with use and in super condition. Polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. A well above average coal helmet. 14" tall with handle down and 21.5" when up. Base 8.5" x 9.75", total 12" wide and 17" front to back including rear grip.

Matching pair of original, quality, brass coal vases complete with the original steel lift out liners. This superb pair of coal tubs have vase shaped bodies on three legs, two side ring handles, a cluster finial to the domed lid, a registration number to the underside of the lid for the year 1902 and the maker's mark to the underside of the vase for "Henry Loveridge and Co of Birmingham". The steel liners are a work of art on their own, by far the best we have seen and each with a pair of side ring lifting handles. These vases are in superb condition with only very very minor dents if any, consistent with very little use. The brass has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and the liners cleaned and repainted black. All is complete and in good and working order. Each 18" tall x 16" widest including side handle. Price is for the pair.

The blacksmith made and riveted wrought iron frame has curls to the feet and to the four corners, an open basket twisted handgrip to the top and the copper panel with a deep embossed design of styalised poppy seed heads and leaves. The ironwork has been cleaned and repainted black and the front of the copper panel polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. Original, quality circa 1900, brass framed firescreen with a bevelled mirrored panel with cut decorations to the centre. This superb example has a square tubed brass frame with a top mount of a basket of flowers a pair of urn-shaped finials and the base has a pair of legs front to back. The reverse has the original sheet of lead protecting the mirror from the heat which has some sheet lead patches, and the glass has blemishes to the centre and lower section but no chips or cracks, otherwise all is in super condition. The brass has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. 31" x 18.5" and 7.25" front to back at floor.

This superb pair have 'Adam' style urn finials to the top, one larger front pillar and smaller double footed pillar for the rear. The bases are decorated with laurel and acanthus leaf designs and the legs are impressed in four places with a clear registration Lozenge mark for the year 1883. All has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and are complete and in good and working order. An outstanding pair of fire dogs. 15.75" tall, 8.5" front to back and 5.5" widest at floor.

The front has two turned short columns with another matching to the rear and a larger similar one to the front centre.
