This award was presented to T.R. Stevens Esq by the Directors of The Raleigh Cycle Co Ltd of Nottingham, as a token of appreciation of over 20 years unbroken association with the company. All is complete and in good order.

The Octopus Cast Iron Cycle Stand C9
Original, quality circa 1900 / 1920's patented cast iron Bicycle Stand in the old silver paintwork. This example has a hinged middle joint to allow adjustment for the cycle wheel size and each side is embossed "The Octopus Cycle Stand" and "Patent No 7825". This carriage moves on four cast iron wheels and the cycle wheel rests on three wooden mounts turned in boxwood as replacements for the original wooden ones which were damaged and split. These cycle stands were probably made for cycle shop displays but ideal for cycles where ever. Complete and in good and working order.

Pair of original, quality, silver handled scissors used for an opening ceremony in Kingston-Upon- Hull in 1935, in the original shaped and fitted box. The case has a hinged lid, cream silk lining to the lid, black velvet to the base, gold tooled leather cloth to the outer and a gilded commemoration plaque to the top of the hinged lid. The plaque is engraved "Presented to Ald. A. Stark, J.P. and Lord Mayor of Kingston-Upon-Hull on the occasion of the opening by him of Hull's Super Service Station for Automobile Purchases (Hull) Ltd, 10th July 1935". The silver handled scissors are hallmarked for "Birmingham 1934" and engraved with the initials "A" and "S". All is in super condition, the scissors having little use only and the box is in near mint as you can get. What a most unusual opening ceremony.

The chrome plating is in super condition and the plinth has two threaded holes for the mounting bolts. Could this be the car mascot for The Leander Club ? One of the oldest rowing clubs in the world and based at Henley on Thames. All is complete and in good and working order.

This was manufacturer to enable a cycle lamp to be clipped to the basket on the front or rear of a cycle or motor cycle. The front is detailed "Terrys Clip Lamp Bracket Patented" and "Doctors say Terry's Saddle Protects the Spinal Nerves & Prevents Soreness". Cleaned and lacquered and complete and in good and working order.

Original, quality 1930's motor cycle sheet steel front numberplate for mounting to the front mudguard. This unusual example has the provision to mount the road fund licence behind a circular sheet of clear plastic and indeed it has retained the said, detailing, registration number "HR7742" and expiring 31st Dec 1930". The two bolts at the base are replacements added to make a stand up display and all has been cleaned and lacquered and is complete and in good order.

Original, quality 1920's motor car radiator temperature gauge ( calorimeter ) with a visible needle indicator. This chromed example is still fitted to a chromed radiator screw on cap and appears complete, so it should work, although we have not tested it. One circular glass panel is detailed "Cool", "Normal" and "Boil" and the other "Calormeter, Wilmot Breedon Ltd" for the maker and with a patent number and the registration number for the year 1925. The two glass panels are bevelled and have no chips or blemishes but the chromed finish overall does have some pitting.

Pair of Lucas Carbide Brass Motor Vehicle Lamps M124
Original, quality pair of superb carbide brass motor car headlamps manufactured by Jos. Lucas Ltd of Birmingham. This 'King of The Road' pair are detailed "No 684" for the model and with the registration number for the year 1907. This pair of lamps are identical in every aspect and are in the exceptional near mint condition with no dents, no metal fatigue and are absolutely complete with the burners, the nipples for the feed pipes, the inner reflectors and the nickel interior bezels etc. One rear foot was missing and we have replaced it with an identical part, otherwise all was complete and original and when we dismantled the interior to clean and take out a few minor dents it was still stuffed full of roadkill flies between the inner panels. Polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and although not tested these are complete and should be in working order. Truly a super original pair of Motor Vehicle Lights. The best we have seen.
