Original, quality late 19th century Haberdashery Shop Counter Cabinet in mahogany with two drawers and a top hinged lid to the third compartment. This cabinet was issued to the retailer stocked with G.L Turneys Best Needles. The top white 'Vitrolite' glass label to the upper section has been replaced with a plain panel, the remains of the original acid etched label is included (see picture) and the two drawers have retained the original etched panels and brass recessed pull handle. All has been cleaned and refinished and is complete and in good and working order, otherwise. 19" x 13" and 10.5" tall.

W. Avery Brass Needle Case NC2
Original, quality late 19th century pressed and embossed brass needle case to hold four different size needles. This super example has a lift up hinged top cover and two sliding tabs to the bottom. When slid sideways one set of one sized needles will appear at the top for selection. Apart from decorative patterns the sides are each detailed "The Quadruple Golden Casket patented and manufactured by W. Avery & Son Redditch". Complete and in good and working order. 2.75" x 1.25" x 0.5".

Original, quality late 19th century lignum vitae two piece needle case with a segmented interior to the bottom half to take sewing machine needles. The upper half has a top brass embossed cover detailing "Wheeler & Wilson's Sewing Machines" with various numbers, presumably needle sizes. This super needle case comes with fifteen plus steel needles and all is complete and in good order. 2.75" tall and 1 1/8" base diam.

Original, quality 1930's enamel advertising sign detailing "Singer Sewing Machines" in upper cased white text on a large red 'S'. Behind and between is an illustration of a female figure in attire of the period sat at a treadle sewing machine. All is detailed on a green background. Some chipping to the enamel to the mounting screw holes and some fading to the yellow Singer trademark., otherwise complete and in good order. The lower right corner also details the sign maker "Cooper Bond Ltd SE 13". 21" tall x 15".

Original, quality pair of late 19th century large cast brass handled steel tailors shears with fully fitted finger guards to the handles. The brass is stamped near the large bolt and cap / nuts "Wilkinson & Sons Sheffield" and "Warranted" to the other side. This super pair of shears have very clean steel cutters very, very sharp and all has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and are complete and in good and working order. 13.5" x 3.5" x 3".

Original, quality, late 19th century, superb steel tailors shears with much of the original black paintwork to the handles and with brass locking nuts. One side of the nut is impressed "? Inventor Newark N. Jersey USA" and all is complete and in good and working order, a super pair of shears, very comfortable to hold and work. 14.5" x 4" and 1.75".

Original, quality late 19th century superb steel tailors shears with much of the original black paintwork to the grips and large brass locking nuts. One side of the nuts is impressed "J. Wiss & Sons New Jersey USA" and the other "Patent applied for House Bros Brewer St.". The upper blade is also marked for the maker "Wiss". A good working and comfortable pair of shears. 13.75" x 4" x 1.5".

Wilcox and Gibbs Sewing Machine S8
Original, quality late 19th century Wilcox & Gibbs Sewing Machine in the original mahogany carrying case, with the original tin accessory box with a few fittings and needles and the original operating manual. This machine is complete and in good and working order, with much of the original gold lined decoration and gloss to the black paintwork. The working plate has many details of origin and patent dates throughout the world, with the latest UK patent date being 1871. The mahogany case has a brass carry handle to the top, a lockable door to one end with a key and the original finish. The toolbox in tin has a wood grained finish and the operating instructions brochure is near complete, but a little oily. A well above average example of a very pretty machine. Box 12" x 14" and 9.5" wide. Base of machine 12.5" x 8" x 1".

Original, quality late 19th century sewing pincushion carved in bog oak as a miniature cauldron with shamrock leaves around, turned legs and stamped "Made in Eire". In super condition. 1.75" tall and 2" widest including wire side loops.
