Original, quality pair of late 19th century steel boot pulls with pressed cowhorn grips both with inlaid brass details of a long dog and a stag, one to each side. No maker's name but of the most highest quality and in superb and very usable order. The first we have seen. Complete and in good and working order.

Pair of Horn Interior Bell Pulls BP273
Original, quality pair of early 19th century interior bell pulls, originally fitted on the dado chair rail in a Georgian mansion. These most unusual examples have cast brass mounting plates and back mounts all in the old black paint and polished cowhorn central bosses and the covers and knobs on the face of the cranked winding handle. This is a true pair 1 x left handed and 1 x right handed and the brass could be polished and lacquered if required. These pulls are for use with a tight wire, non-electrical bell system. Other parts required to operate this system are usually available in stock and many other bell fittings of differing types may also be available.

Backplates 4.5" x 1.5".

Original, quality, late 19th century, interior bell pull, most unusual in 'cowhorn'. This pull is for use with a tight wire, non-electrical bell system and other parts required to operate this system are usually available in stock. This example has the spherical pull knob mounted within the circular turned horn backplate and fitted with replacement rear spring and washers. All has been fully overhauled and is complete and in good and working order.

Original, quality late 19th century butchers' sharpening steel stamped "J Woodcook C & M 1884" to the steel shaft. The handle turned in cowhorn has a wrought iron swivel ring and all has been cleaned and lacquered. Complete and in good and working order.

Original, quality set of four matching 18th or early 19th century brass and cowhorn furniture castors. These very unusual castors, the first we have seen, have pressed and turned wheels in cowhorn. The central pin is in steel but the cover is in brass as are the shoulders. These show little if no signs of use and are great lookers as well as the best to use. Polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and complete and in good and working order.

Wheels 1.25" diam.

0.75" wide.

Total 3" tall x 2" wide.

Original, quality, set of eight matching late 18th or early 19th century chest of drawers knobs with the original brass threaded bars with hand cut nuts, rope twist brass wire inlays to the face of the knobs and replacement washers fitted. One knob has a slightly thicker front, one other knob has some of the brass wire inlay missing and there is a variation in colour to some of the backplates, otherwise all are complete and in good and working order. A super set, so hard to find.

Knob 2" diameter plus 1" bolt.

Two circular brass backplates copied from originals have been fitted, each with two concealed screw holes for mounting. A most unusual pair of door knobs, very difficult to find in horn and complete and in good and working order.

Original, quality late 19th century all brass hunting horn in the original leather holder with saddle mounting fittings. This complete item appears to show very little use if any and is absolutely perfect in every aspect. The brass horn is impressed "Kohler & Sons Makers' from Covent Garden, 185 Piccadilly London", the nickel mouthpiece "K.S" and the leather holder "Kohler & Son London". This is the best example we have ever seen.
