Original, quality nickel plated tea kettle on three feet with the original decorative cane covering to the handle and cow horn handle to the lid. This example in super condition is engraved to the front "Presented by the Officers, Non-commission Officers & Men of the South Eastern mounted Brigade, Transport & Supply Column Army Services Corps. (Territorial) Croydon to Staff Sergt Major A. Moore on the occasion of his marriage April 9th 1912". The underside is impressed for the manufacturer "J.C & Co Ltd". All is complete and in good and working order.

Copper Samovar

Original, quality early 19th century decorative copper samovar / tea urn. The cast pink brass side handles are in the form of mermaids holding a clamshell, the cast brass tap to the front has much of its silver plated finish and the original green stained bone finial and the lid has a mythical fish finial over the vented cover. The urn shaped body is mounted on a slender neck on a square plinth with bun feet to each corner. A replacement cast iron heating bar has been fitted and the front of the main body has the original silver shield with a Georgian silver hallmark (see picture). All has been fully overhauled and been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and all is complete and in good and working order.

Original, quality pair of late 19th century spherical shaped steel door knobs with circular pink brass backplates, each with three countersunk screw holes for mounting. With a square bar included to fit standard mortice locks and latches. The reverse of the backplates is stamped "Kaye Leeds" for the manufacturer, and some have a patent number; this patent is for the system when turning the knobs. The knobs have a japanned or finish, giving the appearance of aged wood. This finish on the steel knobs is a special process exclusive to "Kayes of Leeds", and it really does look like a dark wooden pair of knobs.

Original, quality late 19th century bread knife with a steel blade and a sycamore handle carved with details of ears of corn or wheat to both sides. The blade is a little stained and is etched for the manufacturer "Joseph? Queen's Cutlers" and all is complete and in good and working order. These knives are steel, not stainless steel, and will keep a very sharp edge, but they do not like water or moisture; just wipe and dry them thoroughly.

Complete and in good and working order.

Original, quality circa 1880/ 1910's Doulton of Lambeth stoneware water jug, very cleverly and realistically simulated 'copper jug' made from panels of rivetted copper but actually made from Doulton glazed stoneware. This large example, from a range of products manufactured by Doulton, has a handle to the rear, a pouring lip, lots of simulated rivets and several simulated dents. A super very clever jug. Perfect and complete. Other matching examples may well be available.

Original, quality late 19th century medium sized, all copper jelly mould with ribbed sides and top in the form of asparagus tips and with a tubular hole to the centre. The side is impressed for the manufacturer "Jones Bros Down St" (London). The internal tinning is in good order, and the exterior has a coat of old brushed lacquer, but we can polish and lacquer for no extra charge if required. All is complete and in good and working order.

Original, quality late 19th century all copper rectangular "Bain Marie" base pan. This super example has rounded corners, a rolled over top rim, hinged side ring handles and a good tinned interior. Original, quality 1920's unused carving knife with a serrated edge to the stainless blade and a rosewood two piece handle. The blade is etched "Hunters Cooked Meats" and Firth Stainless". This was probably a gift from the manufacturer "Hunters Handy Ham Co". All is in superb condition and in the original postal box labelled for an address in Earls Court, London. Complete and in good and working order.

Original, quality late 19th century three-piece set of matching steel fire irons comprising shovel, tongs and poker. All has been cleaned and lacquered, the poker has a good square section tip and the shovel has a pierced design, this was used to sift through the embers and put back onto the fire all but the ash. All is complete and in good and working order.

Doulton 4 Piece Watchman Series Jug and Basin Set
Doulton 4 Piece Watchman Series Jug and Basin Set

Original, quality, 'Watchman Series' four piece, matching, original Royal Doulton ewer and basin, chamberpot and soap dish, with lid. The undersides are all marked with the printed detail of the Royal Doulton logo with the lion on the crown and with the registration number for the year 1902. The bowl, chamberpot, soap dish and lid are all perfect, but the jug has a large crack which has been repaired with six old brass rivets, a super old repair. This set has a buff coloured background colour with sepia detail and the occasional infill of pale blue. The bowl is decorated inside with a continuous picture of timber framed houses with cobbled street and the outside has ribbon swags detailing "Watchman What Of The Night" three times. The jug, of a serious Art Nouveau shape, has timber framed building and a large picture of the Watchman with his lantern over his shoulder. The chamberpot again has timber framed buildings around the outside, the soap dish has similar to the lid with hanging lantern and calling rattles to the outside of the base, although the drainer from the soap dish is missing. Apart from the repair to the jug, all is complete, in superb order and very desirable.

Original, quality late 19th century / circa 1900 15" tall church candlestick probably made for or supplied by Pratt of London. This example has the original red paint finish to the underside, as normal for most, if not all, church brassware, but does not carry a manufacturer's name. The steel point to the top centre is a replacement made to suit and will support the thick candles used up to 3 or 3.25 diameter. All is now complete and has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and is in good and working order.

Original, quality 1920's / 30's one piece 8ft long enamel sign detailing. "AA Bournemouth Sea Front R.A.C" ( AA for Automobile Association), (R.A.C. for Royal Automobile Company ). In blue and red text on a bright yellow background. Some minor painted touch-ins with yellow paint, otherwise complete and in super bright condition. This sign has fourteen original screw holes to the edges for mounting and has currently been mounted with wooden strips to the reverse for ease of handling.

This super set with good two-colour bristles have decorative brass mounts and rings to the top and are suspended from a matching brass mount on a bow top honey coloured oak backboard with a mirror plate for fixing. All has been cleaned, the brass polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and all is complete and in good and working order.

Original, quality late 19th century brass postal balance with and full set of circular brass weights all mounted on the original walnut plinth on four turned short legs. The six weights are 1lb, 8oz, 4oz, 2oz, 1oz and 1/2" oz and the platform for letter to be weighed is detailing the postal rates for the year 1885 to 1897. All has been fully overhauled, polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and is complete and in good and working order.

Original, quality 19th century folding cast iron coatrack with turned wood pegs. This example has three hanging loops to the top and is extendable to be hanging from three nails of variable spacing. Each cast iron backplate has two wooden pegs one long and one short and an embossed design and the reverse is detailed "A.K & Son No 2" of West Bromwich. The ash pegs are replacements made to suit copied from an original. All have been fully overhauled and cleaned and lacquered and are complete and in good and working order.

Original, quality, large, unused Staffordshire pearlware ceramic, garden or greenhouse flowerbed label, with a scallop shell design to the top, a central square panel and a pointed end, with three countersunk screw holes. For pushing into the ground or screwing to a wooden border surround. The reverse has a super clear impressed registration lozenge mark for the year 1878 and the retailer or maker's name "G. A. Stubbs Warwick". All are complete and in superb order, with the odd minor stain, but no chips or cracks and much, much larger than you think.

Twist the ring to the top and the label to the front of the bottle releases to view the 'V' shaped cutting blade. The reverse is stamped "Made in Vienna". Original, quality late 19th century Corinthian Column oil side lamp with a tapered column and cut glass font. This example has all the original fittings with a patent twin 1" wick burner with a snuffer lever and lifting key for the gallery to enable the lamp to be lit without removing the shade and chimney. The burner has both the wick controls on one stem, this is impressed "Hinks Duplex Patent". The burner is stamped with the registration number for the year 1888 and the square plinth to the base is impressed for the retailer "Gibbons & Co Ltd Belfast". Fully overhauled, polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and all is complete and in good and working order, with no wear to the silver plating, a superb example. Original, quality fireproof safe circa 1900, in the original paintwork to both the interior and exterior. The brass fittings are all original, and it comes with two keys for the door and two keys for the inner drawer. The brass maker's plate to the door is embossed "Whitfield's Safe & Door Co Ltd, London & Birmingham" and the same is transfer printed to the reverse of the door. All has been fully overhauled and is complete and in good and working order.

Original, quality near pair of late century brass door porters in the form of a cherub version of "Diana the Huntress". These are depicted with wings and a bow in one hand stood atop a pedestal, all in brass with a cast iron counterbalance weight to the base. Original, quality late 19th century surface mounted brass door lock with the original pair of oval brass door knobs. This example has a curved end, the original cast brass keep, an old key altered to fit and has a standard square hole for the handles. This lock is stamped to the faceplate for the maker "Carter & Aynsley London". All are polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost, fully overhauled and complete and in good and working order.

Lock 7" x 3.5" x 7/8" front to back.

Handles backplate 2 1/8" x knob 2.25" x 1.5".

Original, quality late 19th century cast brass padlock of a good size with steel a loop and the original steel key. The padlock is stamped '22', has a swinging dust cover to the keyhole with its own pair of holes to locate a second smaller padlock for extra security to ensure two separate keyholers are present at the same time of opening. The front of the padlock is also impressed for the original owner "3/74 In possession of Bank of Maharashtra". All has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and complete and in good and working order.

This very clean example has a shaped bevelled mirror glass in the mahogany frame with a shelf on brackets to the top and shaped feet to the base.
