Brown Trout in Bow Front Glass Case
Original, quality superb late 19th century large Brown Trout, caught at Sunbury on Thames in 1864 and mounted in a bow fronted glazed case by Cooper. This great example, larger than average for a Thames Trout, has all the good groundwork as expected for a Cooper mount, with a paper label to the top inner left corner detailing "Preserved by J. Cooper, 28 Radnor Street, St Luke London EC". The front of the bowed glass has gilt lines around and "Caught by Mr Lamport at Sunbury June 1864 Weight 6 ¼lbs". The case has been cleaned and repainted black to the reverse and has two hanging loops to the top. Complete and in good order.

Newlyn Copper Tray
Original, quality circa 1900 / 1920's circular drinks tray with a beaten finish to the base, an upright gallery all around with two interesting riveted joints and a rolled over top rim. The centre of the top has a sunflower circular design and the maker's name "Newlyn" is impressed to the floor near the gallery. This is the first of this model we have seen. Polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and complete and in good and working order.

Arts & Crafts Copper Framed Wall Mirror
Original, quality circa 1900, Arts & Crafts wall mirror with a sheet copper clad frame with tapered side panels and an embossed decoration to the upper section of the frame with a blue "Ruskin" ceramic cabochon. The original paper backing to the reverse has been retained and the front and sides of the surround has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. A stunning mirror of delightful proportions. Complete and in good order.

Wrought Iron Hay Manger
Original, quality 18th century blacksmith made free-standing animal feeding manger with a later wrought iron stand made to suit. Super blacksmith forging to the manger basket and frame added to a later iron stand. All has been cleaned and repainted in a green hammerite paint, which could be changed if it's wrong for one. Complete and in good and working order.

Original, quality pair of late 19th century cast brass candlesticks in the realistic form of cobras poised to strike. This superb pair, the largest we have seen to date and the best ones, have decorated brass candle holders to the top with sconces to catch the wax drips, with castellated tops. Folding Brass and Ceramic Hat and Coat Rack
Original, quality late 19th century brass hat and coat rack with fold away hooks each with a white ceramic finial. This example with a tubular brass frame was made to fold flat for travelling in your suitcase and to be wall hanging for the hotel room or temporary accommodation. The top rail has two movable loops for the wall mounts, the lower one has four small brass hooks and all has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and is complete and in good and working order.

Cowhorn Dinner Gong
Original, quality late 19th century table dinner gong with a pair of polished cow horns forming an arch, with a circular brass gong suspended between. All is mounted on a honey-coloured oak plinth, with the replacement hammer on stands to the front. The mounts are in nickel, with a plaque above the hammer for engraving if desired. The brass and nickel has all been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and all is complete and in good and working order. A super looking gong with a great tone and resonance.

Deep Stone 'D' Shaped Sink
Original, quality 18th or early 19th century deep 'D' shaped stone sink. This good example has a good colour and covering of lichen to the outside and appears not to have a drain hole, but one can be drilled on request. Complete and in good order.

Original, quality late 19th century four matching, two large and two small sized Rosewood fingerplates with serpentine shaped ends and decorated in fantastic detail in relief with birds, flowers, butterflies and leaves using a variety of paints, gilding and lacquers. Each fingerplate has four countersunk screw holes for mounting and all are perfect and the most exciting fingerplates we have had to date.

Brass and Iron Miniature Tally Iron with Poker
Original, quality late 19th century, very small, cast brass goffering iron with an 'S' shaped wrought iron stem a circular cast iron base and the original cast iron poker with a turned wooden grip. The poker tip is impressed '1' for the size and the wooden grip shows signs of woodworm. These were used to iron collars and cuffs and even earlier to iron large ruffs worn around the neck. Very unusual to find these irons with original pokers, the poker was heated in the fire and inserted in the barrel when required for use. All has been cleaned and lacquered and is complete and in good order.

Eagle Crimping Machine
Original, quality late 19th century cast iron and brass crimping machine with the original heating bars, lifting rod and paintwork. This unusual example has ribbed brass rollers operated by the cranked turning handle. Much of the original gilt on japanned black paintwork has remained and the plinth is embossed to the top "Eagle" and "Patent Nov 2. 1875" and to the underside - American Machine Co. Philadelphia P.A. All is complete and in good and working order.

Original, quality late 19th century heavy cast iron, shield shaped manufacturers plate detailing "The Somerset Ridging Plough Denings Chard Som ( Somerset ). Washed and waxed in the old red paint and complete and in good order.

Red Squirrel
Original, quality 1920's mounted European Red Squirrel in a glazed case with a hanging loop to the top. This clean example has good groundwork, with the squirrel holding a hazelnut. The interior has been cleaned and dusted with crystals to prevent mite damage and the exterior has been re-taped and repainted. All is complete and in good order.

Rosewood Tipstaff
Original quality early to mid 19th century rosewood tipstaff. This fine example, in the form of a short truncheon, has a shaped and ribbed handgrip and a thicker body mounted with a cast brass head and ferrule. Tipstaffs were used when delivering an order of the court. Complete and in good order.

Car Radiator Calormeter
Original, quality 1920's motor car radiator temperature gauge ( calorimeter ) with a visible needle indicator. This chromed example is still fitted to a chromed radiator screw on cap and appears complete, so it should work, although we have not tested it. One circular glass panel is detailed "Cool", "Normal" and "Boil" and the other "Calormeter, Wilmot Breedon Ltd" for the maker and with a patent number and the registration number for the year 1925. The two glass panels are bevelled and have no chips or blemishes but the chromed finish overall does have some pitting.

Priory of The Holy Sepulchre Plaque
Original, quality 1920's / 30's, near square shaped sheet brass nameplate. This plaque is engraved in upper cased text "Priory of The Holy Sepulchre" on a honey coloured oak backboard made to suit, has a screw hole to each corner for mounting and can be hung on the wire provided or screwed to the wall. Polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and complete and in good order.

Original, quality oval cast brass shipbuilder's nameplate with two bolt holes for mounting. This super example is embossed "Sudbrook Ship Yard, No 8, C.H. Walker & Co Ltd Iron & Steel Shipbuilders 1902 Monmouthshire". All has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and is complete and in good order. Another plaque for the same Shipbuilders dated 1916 and smaller, may well be available ref code: NP430.

This super quality bell has the original blacksmith made wrought iron clapper and turned oak handle and a replacement brass ferrule made to suit. A good loud tone and good looking bell. Copper Stockpot with Lid
Original, quality late 19th century small circular cookpot with blacksmith made wrought iron swing handle and the original lid. The lid is stamped '6' for the size ( 6 pints ) and the internal tinning is in super condition. Polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and suitable to use. Complete and in good and working order.

Huge Copper Bedwarmer
Original, quality, mid to late 19th century, extra large, copper bedwarmer of an ovoid form, to be filled with hot water and with a cast brass screw on filler cap and two cast brass loop handles with turned fruitwood grips. The original brass plug is still in place beneath the screw on cap and although there are a few very minor dents, all is in superb condition. This would be filled with hot water and is complete and in good and working order and has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost.

Copper Coaching Horn
Original, quality late 19th century copper coaching horn with a brass mouthpiece and a 7" nickel neck. The open flared end is engraved "J.G.P" in script and "X C II" and has a nickel rolled over rim. Pair of Huntley & Palmers Egyptian Vase Biscuit Tins
Original, quality pair of Huntley & Palmers Biscuit tins in the form of Egyptian Vases and entitled the same. This model issued in 1924 was designed as a direct result of the November 1922 Carter / Carnarvon discovery of the tomb of Tutankhamun in the Valley of Kings in Egypt. These tins are in super condition with just some rubbing to the lift-out lids, otherwise in near mint condition to the original finish and complete and in good order.

Spratts Enamel Sign
Original, quality 1920's very clean, narrow vertical enamel advertising sign with detail in black of various animals and birds each spelling the word "Spratts". To the top is a Scottish Terrier next is a Cat, a Canary and a fish all very cleverly designed. This hard to find sign has four screw holes for mounting and three small areas touched in with gloss paint and a code reference number "345". Complete and in good order.

Butterfly Wings Drinks Tray
Original, quality small 1920's / 30's rectangular shaped inlaid mahogany tray with a glazed floor, decorated behind with a South American scene on a backing of Butterfly wings and detailed "Rio De Janeiro" (Brazil). The outer frame of the tray has a cutout handle to each end and the underside has a panel of plywood as a backing board. A very clean example complete and in good order.

WT&S Pair of Chromed Day & Night Plaques
Original, quality pair of 1920's chrome plated embossed plaques detailed "Night" and "Day". These were originally used for the night and day bell pulls or presses on the outside door of the property. The reverse of these examples are impressed WT&S for the manufacturer William Tonks & Sons of Birmingham and each has four countersunk screw holes for mounting. Complete and in good order.

Set of 4 Matching Brass Rim Locks
Original, quality set of four matching surface mounted mid to late 19th century brass door locks, to take a standard modern square bar for the handles. Replacement keeps have been made to suit and old keys altered to fit. These locks have the provision for a handle turn and a key lock and have swinging keyhole covers. Fully overhauled, polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and complete and in good and working order.

Large Brass Horse Shoe
Original, quality late 19th century large brass "Heavy Horse" horse shoe. This most unusual example has been used and the wear can be seen to the front. Brass horse shoes would have been worn in sensative areas where fires could easily be set off by sparks, brass will not spark. All has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and is complete and in good order.

Pair of 6 Branch Hat and Coat Hooks Racks
Original, quality pair of six branch 1920's hat and coat hooks in the original oxidised on brass finish. Each unit has three lower tubular branches with ball finials for coats and three upper similar but longer branches for hats. All are mounted on a central ball section on a circular backplate with four countersunk screw holes for wall mounting. A superb pair, the first we have seen in this finish. Complete and in good and working order.

Pierced Copper Fender
Original, quality all copper fender circa 1900, with a pierced central panel with a rolled over top trim and a shaped trim to the floor at the front edge. Candle Reading Lamp
Original, quality 1920's nickel plated adjustable candle reflector reading lamp. This example has a circular base, a lift-off cowl reflector and a sprung-loaded self-adjusting candle. An original candle the correct size is fitted and all is complete and in good and working order.

Electric Indicator Bell
Original, quality 1920's electric indicator bell with an oval shaped brass bell mounted on a teak backboard with a lift-off cover to the coil etc. For use with a 12-volt, low-voltage electric supply system. Fully overhauled and complete and in good and working order. The brass has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost.

This example has the three graduated sizes of speculums and the complete kit in the original leather paper-covered box. Silver Craven Hunt Trophy
Original, quality hallmarked silver trophy cup of a good size and condition engraved to the front "Championship, Craven Hunt", "Bouncer 1931". This very clean example has handles to the sides, a shaped stem and the original black bakelite plinth. The silver content weighs in at 479 grams. The associated invitation to attend the "Young Hound Judging" from "The Earl & Countess of Essex" is included with this trophy which was awarded on the day July 21st 1931 and RSVP were to Col. Walmesley DSO MC Inglewood Lodge, Kintbury, Nr Hungerford. Both the trophy and the invitation are in excellent order.

Newlyn Copper Tray
Original, quality circa 1900 / 1920's large copper drinks tray with an up turned outer rim with a rolled over edge and a superb border of 'lemon and leaves' embossed detail surrounding a central hammered panel. This wonderful example is impressed for "Newlyn" within the lemon's border. The front of this tray has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost, the reverse cleaned and waxed and otherwise all is complete and in good order.

Gothic Wrought Iron Door Bolt
Original, quality late 19th century wrought iron surface mounted door bolt in a "Gothic" style with a replacement keep made to match. WW1 Death Plate
Original, quality black transfer on coffee brown ceramic plate, manufactured during and after the 1st World War (1914 to 1918) for relatives to purchase and fix a photograph of their loved ones lost in the war. Good detail to the front with 'England Expects That Every Man Will Do His Duty And ____ Did His', and to the reverse 'England' and impressed '9' over '16'. Complete and in good order.

Doulton Autumn Leaves Vase
Original, quality Doulton vase circa 1920's. This example has an embossed design of Autumn leaves in various shades of brown and with a high gloss finish. The underside is impressed "Doulton Lambeth England" and with a variety of Artist's marks. The vase was purchased on the Dickinson's Real Deal T.V. programme filmed at Market Bosworth Near Nuneaton. All is perfect and in super condition.

Original, quality very large 1920's brass letter flap with "Letters" embossed to the flap and fitted with a good sized door pull bar with decorated finials ends. The Octopus Cast Iron Cycle Stand
Original, quality circa 1900 / 1920's patented cast iron Bicycle Stand in the old silver paintwork. This example has a hinged middle joint to allow adjustment for the cycle wheel size and each side is embossed "The Octopus Cycle Stand" and "Patent No 7825". This carriage moves on four cast iron wheels and the cycle wheel rests on three wooden mounts turned in boxwood as replacements for the original wooden ones which were damaged and split. These cycle stands were probably made for cycle shop displays but ideal for cycles where ever. Complete and in good and working order.

Musgraves Side Saddle Rack
Original, quality late 19th century, wall mounted cast iron harness room Side Saddle Rack, larger than the standard staddle rack of this style. The backplate has five countersunk screw holes for mounting and all is complete and in good and working order.

Cherry Toothpaste Pot Lid
Original, quality late 19th century ceramic toothpaste pot and lid. This example has a coloured lid with the head of a young Queen Victoria and details "Cherry Toothpaste Patronized by the Queen" and "Prepared by John Gosnell Co Ltd". Not only is this one good to find a perfect one with a base it also has the original "directions for use" paper label intact inside the lid (see picture). Complete and in good order.

Silver Mounted Doulton Ale Mug
Original, quality late 19th century two tone glazed stoneware ale jug with a hallmarked silver rim to the top edge, a pouring spout and a strap handle to the rear. The body has applied decoration of gents drinking, smoking at tables, horses, riders and hounds chasing a stag. The underside is impressed for the maker "Doulton Lambeth England" and "154". Complete and in good order.
