Pair of original, quality, late 19th century, large and heavy most unusual twin branch hat / coat hooks, probably continental. Each horizontal hat peg has an acanthus seed pod to the tip with a ball on top. Both the hooks are mounted with a finial above and below and onto the circular backplate with two screw holes for fixing to the wall. All have been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and are complete and in good and working order.

Original, quality 1920's brass and copper serious Art and Crafts electric side lamp with twin branches with suspended pendant shade holders. This very pleasing electric light has a brass central stem mounted on a square plinth with bun feet and two sinewy and curved copper arms supporting the pendant / bulb holders and shades. The pair of copper rosettes are included in the price but the shades are not but may be available ref code: S368 at £700 the pair. This fabulous light has been rewired with modern three core silk covered flex, new brass UK bulb holders, in-line switch and a three pin plug. Fully overhauled, polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. We feel this light was designed by W.A.S Benson, although it is not stamped as such.

Original, quality late 19th century ten tier blacksmith made wrought iron saucepan stand, each shelf has the front strap impressed "Siddons No 1" to "Siddons No 10" and designed to display their full range of cast iron circular saucepans. Each shelf also has two side hooks to hold the lids and the top has a plate to fix it to a beam. Some repairs to the lower section and all has been cleaned and repainted black. Complete and in good and working order.

This example is advertising Player's navy cut cigarettes and detailing "Ask for Player's and look for the lifebuoy trade mark". Original, quality late 19th cenutry huge brass exterior door pull in the realistic form of a fist gripping a bar or a document roll with the original circular backplate with two concealed countersunk screw holes for mounting and a replacement threaded steel square with nut and washer. This door pull probably started life as a huge door handle for a strongroom or very large safe and now is ideal as a turning handle or a door pull. Cleaned and polished and complete and in good and working order. A magnicficent handle the largest we have seen of this form.

Original, quality circa 1900, five piece mahogany stacking bookcase with leaded glass up and over doors to the three sections. This unusual example has the base plinth with an integral drawer, a taller glazed section, two other shorter matching sections and the top cover. All is original and each glazed section has a transfer label on the back panel viewed from the front. All in the original finish and all stacking together easily. Complete and in good and working order.

Original, quality early 19th century or perhaps a little older, all brass oil can in the original unpolished green finish. This super example has a cylindrical body on four ball feet with a circular screw off filler cap to the top, a long tapered and curved spout to the front and a circular rope twist handle with finger rests top and bottom. This is the first we have seen and all is complete and in good and working order.

Original, quality mid 19th century, wirework nursery fender / spark guard. This unusually small spark guard has a steel floor to the base, a brass top rail and wirework swags under the brass rail. Winchester County Weights

Original, quality part set of 5 matching mid 19th century bell shaped cast brass County Weights, 14lb, 7lb, 4lb, 2lb, & 1lb. These superb run of weights are all engraved to the front "Borough of Winchester 1847" and stamped "966". The top grips are engraved in script "14lb Avoir" 7lb Avoir and so on and on the shoulders and handle bases are stamped with a multiple of customs stamps and dates of when these were checked for the correct weight. This weights are referred to as County Weights for these were used by the Weights and Measures Office to check the scales and weights of all Traders and Shop Keepers in the area of Winchester to ensure they were accurate for use when selling goods. These weights here were part of a longer set to include 56lb, 28lb and 8 ounces to ¼ ounce. Polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and complete and in good order and very hard to find.

Original, quality late 19th century oval shaped copper jelly mould stamped '135' for the model. This very clean three tier mould is a most unusual example, the first we have seen, with eight hearts to the top, vertical finger forms beneath and a deep plinth rim. No dents, good internal tinning and ready for use if required. Polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and complete and in good and working order.

Original, quality late 19th century blue and white jasper dip ceramic circular cheese dish and cover. This superb example has white applied oak leaf and acorn decoration around the rim of the base and the base of the cover. The cover also has a white applied detailed scene of horses, riders, and foxhounds at the kill of a fox, this scene is repeated. The top of the cover has an acorn shaped finial grip with a breathing hole through the centre. This super example has never seen a Stilton cheese before, is unused, and complete and in perfect condition. The underside of the base is impressed "B.P and Co" for the maker Brownhills Pottery and is not Wedgwood as you may think at first glance.

Original, quality late 19th century very decorative copper coal helmet with a highly embossed top and lid, cast brass handle supports with a turned ebony grip and the original copper shovel with brass and ebony mounts. The shovel slides in a slot to the top of the coal helmet. This very elegant helmet is a top of the range model and is complete and in super condition with minor dents only, consistent with very little use. Polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and complete and in good and working order.

Original, quality pre war superb brown leather covered photo frame with an easel type back stand and a shot silk covering to the reverse. The back will remove by turning the clips to gain access to change a photograph. The front is mounted with a cap badge of the Scottish Black Watch Regiment and apart from a couple of minor scratches to the leather front, all is complete and in good order.

Original, quality, late 19th century, heavy cast brass padlock for Customs use. The main body is impressed for the manufacturer "Walsall Locks of Birmingham" and the front sealing cover is impressed "C and E" with a crown between and the sliding cover to the keyhole is stamped "C383". This padlock needs to be locked before the sealing cover can be closed over and likewise the padlock can be unlocked with the key, but the key needs to be removed to gain entry to behind the sealing cover. This padlock was manufactured for use by Customs officals to insert a recorded ticket behind the sealing cover. A most unusual padlock and the first we have seen. A replacement nickel key has been made to fit, all is now complete and in good and working order and has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost.

This superb set are embossed "AK & Sons" for the manufacturer A Kenrick & Sons of West Bromwich and with an embossed design to the outer rim with the relevant weights. These are the most decorated sets produced by Kenrick & Sons and in superb condition. Polished and lacquered and complete.

Original, quality circa 1900 / 1920's all brass parcel balance stamped to the top for the makers "W&T Avery Ltd Birmingham". This super example is the first we have seen of this model. The scale is mounted on a rectangular shaped plinth in mahogany with two cast brass cup side handles and cut-outs to take the original set of nine brass nesting weights and 1 x 20 grams standing weight. The nesting weights are marked accordingly from 4lb to ¼ ounce and the five larger ones are stamped for "Avery Ltd". All has been fully overhauled, polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and is complete and in good and working order.

Original, quality pair of late 19th century cylindrical brass storage canisters, with shaped and raised plinths and hinged lids. These were possibly shop tobacco jars or tea caddies. The interiors are tinned, and the lids are hinged to the rear section of the tops. All has been polished, and lacquered and are complete and in good order with no dents or damage.. These are the first we have seen.

Nevertheless, a great souvenir of this great railway. The Great Western Railway (GWR) was also nick-named God's Wonderful Railway (GWR) and Go When Ready (GWR).

Original, quality, milkmaid's dairy yoke, circa 1900, complete with the original hooks and chains. This yoke, in beech, has a few worm holes, but has been well treated and the chains cleaned and lacquered. Part way down the chains are the adjustment hooks to ensure the length is correct for carrying the milk buckets, for ideally, the dairy maid would be holding the milk pails at a level for the yoke to take a share of the weight. A super clean yoke and chain, complete and in good and working order.

Original, quality 1960's fold up office unit for the study. This superb example, a little late for my normal stock but an amazing piece of kit, was purchased new in 1963 by the previous owners. The lock is marked "Elzett Made in Hungary" and comes with a key. The exterior is finished in a medium coloured veneer and the interior in very pale maple. All is complete and in good and working order and very, very clean.

Original, quality heavy cast brass loo door lock set circa 1900 / 1920's complete with all the necessary pieces. This was designed to be mounted on the outside of an inward opening door and is handed. When the coin is inserted, the locked door can be opened and when the bolt inside is slid to lock, another coin can not be inserted for another person to enter, only when the bolt is drawn back again to open can another person gain entry. Also when the bolt is slid either way the indicator will change from "Vacant" to "Engaged" and "vice versa". The two brass keeps and the keys are all replacements made to suit. All has been fully overhauled, polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and is complete and in good and working order, using old pennies. A super 1d in the slot brass loo lock of seven pieces and ten old pennies.

Original, quality 1920's two tone glazed stoneware Shop Counter Ginger Beer dispenser of an unusual size. This scaled up example of an ordinary ginger beer, impressed "1 gall" has retained the original screw in stopper to the top, has a threaded front hole to the bottom to take a tap and is transfer decorated to the front and back for the manufacturer of the original contents "Melsoms home brewed Ginger Beer 16 Portland Road Holland Park". Absolutely in mint condition, with no chips blemishes or fading. The first we have seen of this model.

Original, quality 1920's smoothing plane with a steel body, a brass lever cap, the original two piece cutting blade and the original mahogany infill with a closed grip to the rear. The 2.25" blades are marked "Wm Marples & Son", the lever cap "Norris 51 London" and the brass turn button adjuster to the top "Norris London" and the patent number for the year 1913. This plane has been well used showing scuffs and knocks to the wooden infill but is still in excellent condition, complete and in good working order. The steel has been cleaned and waxed, the wooden infill cleaned and refinished and the brass polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost.

Original, quality superb copper kettle, with lid, circa 1900 / 1920. The underside is impressed with the logo for the manufacturer W. Souter and Sons of Birmingham and all is in super condition. Has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. But most of all look at the engraving to the shoulders and the finial to the lid, one side has two union flags, "October 17 1899" and "May 18 1900" and "B.P" for General Baden Powell. The other side is engraved "Mafeking". Baden Powell was successful in relieving the troops held down in "Mafeking", during the campaign wars in South Africa. Baden Powell was later renowned for setting up the Boy Scout Movement. This kettle is the first we have seen and initially I was not sure if the finial to the lid was a later addition but I believe it now to be original.

Original, quality late 19th century wall mounted coatrack, all in the original finish. This super example has five matching brass hat and coat hooks with cast brass backplates and white ceramic finials. All mounted on a shaped walnut backboard in the original "wood grained" painted finish. Fix to wall by removing the end hooks, use the holes provided, then refit the coat hooks to conceal the wall screws. The hooks can be polished to shiny brass for no extra charge if required. All is complete and in good and working order.

Original, quality wall telephone produced by Gent of Leicester and introduced around the 1920's as a railway telephone. The primary function was to be an intercom between stations and generally situated in the signal box. This example has been fully restored and converted to work perfectly on a standard modern B.T. telephone line. During the current restoration and conversion this telephone has been completely disassembled and cleaned, some parts and the cords have been renewed, and full details of the work carried out, with a list of replacement parts fitted is included with this item, as well as photos of before and after restoration. All is now complete and in good and working order.

Original, quality, circa 1900, mounted brace of Tench in a bow fronted glazed cabinet with glazed end panels. This super example has all the quality and realism of a Cooper mount but no detailed label to that effect, however the label does detail who caught them and where and the weights. "Caught by T.Potter, July 15th, 1901 Weights 4lbs and 4lb 2ozs". Again great groundwork typical of Cooper. The exterior of the case has been cleaned and repainted black and the original wire loops are intact for wall mounting. Complete and in good order.

Original, quality 1920's wooden electric standard lamp finished in a lacquered chinoiserie design with a tapered stem and a circular base. The decorative chinoiserie finish is rubbed in places and has some missing here and there, but overall this lamp is generally in good condition, most unusual and complete and in good and working order. The shade is for display only.

Original, quality 1920's fry's advertising mirror in the original frame. The ply backboard has been replaced with another similar for the original was wormy. This super mirror is detailed "Frys Chocolate by appointment, Makers to T.M. the King & Queen" (being King George V) and "Makers to H.M. Queen Alexandra." This also has the Royal Coat of Arms in colour to the centre and "300 gold medals and c". Some very minor blemishes to the edges of the mirror, otherwise all is complete and in good and working order.

Exterior frame 29.75" x 12" x 1" front to back.

Usuable mirror 27" x 9.25".

Pair of original, quality circa 1900, Scottish pattern cast pink brass surface mounted door bolts with replacement keeps made to suit. These unusual examples have three countersunk screw holes for mounting and the keep has two. Fully overhauled, polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and complete and in good and working order.

Original, quality pair of 1930's brightly coloured enamel advertising signs for Batey's Ginger Beer and other soft drinks. Both signs have red text on a white background with red border. One details "Drink Batey's Ginger Beer At Meals & The Other Lemonade, Soda Water, Ginger Beer, Kola etc. One Quality, the Best". One is detailed to the bottom edge "Bruton Palmers Green" in small print and the other "Chromo Wolverhampton". Some damage to the enamel only on the top two corners and top mounting hole to one and to the top mounting hole only to the other. Seriously good looking signs with great colour.

Original, quality pair of 1920's cast brass shelf brackets, each with three countersunk screw holes to the backplate for mounting and an upturn to the front to stop the shelf slipping forward. This pair of brackets have decorative curled supports and all has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed a no extra cost and are complete and in good and working order. The first brass shelf brackets we have seen for a long time.

Original, quality 1920's all in one cut glass oil side lamp with an original brass twin 1" wick burner with gallery and a glass chimney. Good wear marks to the underside of this lamp. Fully overhauled, the brass polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and complete and in good and working order. Original, quality 1920's small fireproof safe in the original paintwork inside and out. The exterior is very, very dark green almost black to the top, back and sides and the door is more natural green with original red coachlining. The interior is again in original paint in a contrasting light green with a small drawer to the floor and an original transfer for the supplier / retailer in Liverpool and the drawer has brass fittings and one key. The door has retained all its original brass fittings with a drop bar handle, a sliding up keyhole cover with an embossed coat of arms and a circular pressed brass maker's plate in the original matt gilt finish detailing "E. Hipkins & Co Kateshill Works Dudley" and with an embossed coat of arms matching the keyhole cover. The brass handle and key cover have been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. The locks have been fully overhauled and two keys are provided for the door and all is complete and in good and working order. A real beauty.

Exterior 19.75" tall x 13.75" plus 15.25" front to back.

Interior 10" tall x 7.5" plus 7.25" front to back plus drawer.
