Mahogany Childs High Chair / Low Chair
Original, quality 1930's / 40's all mahogany and fruitwood child's high chair with a lift out tray to the front and footboards and the facility to fold the chair over and down to lock up as a low chair on wheels with a play surface with counting beads to the left and right. The original ivorine label is still fitted to the reverse and details "Millson's baby cars and carriages, 303 Oxford St London. W". All is in the original finish and complete and in good and working order. Some signs of use to the tray top and seat top, otherwise all very presentable and usable.

Mounted Snowy Owl
Original, quality 1920's, adult snowy owl superbly mounted on a rock with good groundwork and a good lifelike apparance. This specimen is mounted within a fully glazed cabinet to the four sides and top and mounted on an oak plinth with block feet. Probably the most handsome bird I have had to date and all is complete and in good order.

Horseshoe Shaped Coatrack
Original, quality, late 19th century, carved oak coatrack in a horseshoe form, with a diamond shaped bevelled mirror to the centre and five cast iron hat or coathooks in the original bronzed finish. The mirror is a little smokey, but not damaged and all is complete and in good order. An unusual coatrack well worth looking into.

24" Brass Recessed Door Bolt
Original, quality late 19th century all brass recessed door bolt with a replacement keep plate made to suit. This extra long example as five countersunk screw holes to the faceplate, one each to the top and the keep, a surface mounted turned finial / grip and a wrought iron concealed rod. All has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. Fully overhauled and is complete and in good and working order.

8oz Avery Ceramic Weight
Original, quality circa 1900, white ceramic "8oz" grocers' / butchers' counter weight. This super example although cracked in several places has no chips or other blemishes and has retained a good clean colour. This is detailed in blue / green in a band around the base, "W & T Avery Birmingham" in a swag style logo and "Imperial 8oz" to the top.

Lion Cast Iron Door Knocker
Original, quality mid 19th century large cast iron door knocker in the form of a realistic lions face with a mane. This superb example has the original cast iron square nuts and threaded rods and has a replacement cast iron circular knocking stud included. Original, quality 1920's cast brass six branch electric light fitting with a spherical body with six downward facing shaped arms. A most unusual form, the first we have seen. All is complete and in good and working order. Ceramic Tin and Copper Bain Marie
Original, quality circa 1900 tin bain marie saucepan set with three cream coloured graduated ceramic pans with steel lids, side handles, two end loop carry handles and a sheet copper floor. Mahogany Wellington Chest of Drawers
Original, quality seven drawer mahogany Wellington chest circa 1900, in the original finish. This example has seven graduated drawers, each with a pair of brass drop handles in the original old lacquer finish as is the cabinet. A very clean chest of drawers with the original locking upright bar and key to the right hand side. Some minor scratches overall, otherwise all is complete and in good and working order.

Original, quality 1920's near unused very clean leather saddle case with a spirit flask and double hinged sandwich box. This super example is complete with side straps for saddle mounting with nickel buckles. The sandwich box is marked to the inside for the manufacturer / retailer "Swaine & Brigg London", "Made in England" and "EPBM" for electroplated Brittania Metal. All is complete, near mint and suitable for use if required. The best we have had.

Copper Pipe Rack
Original, quality, embossed sheet copper, wall mounted pipe rack of a serious Art Nouveau form, circa 1900. This example has two holes for mounting, six holes for the pipes and a deep embossed Art Nouveau poppy seed head detail, with a hammered finish. A good, old repair to the pipe holes, has been lacquered and all is complete and in good and working order.

Holophane Electric Light Fitting
Original, quality multifaceted moulded glass 'Holophane' electric light fitting. This superb light, patented in 1909, has the original brass shade holder and has been rewired with modern three core silk covered flex and a new brass UK bulb holder. A length of new brass chain and a new replacement brass ceiling rose is included. Fully overhauled, polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and complete and in good and working order.

Large Brass Letter Flap
Original, quality 1930's / 40's heavy cast brass letter flap of good proportions. This heavy duty example of a plain form has a weighted flap with a replacement bar and springs and replacement threaded bars and nuts have been fitted. A great letter flap and difficult to find these larger ones in yellow brass. Complete and in good and working order.

Huntley and Palmer Ceramic Biscuit Box
Original, quality white ceramic biscuit box in the form of a chest of drawers manufactured expressly for Huntley and Palmer Biscuits of London Reading in 1905. This example is one of a series of twelve china 'casket' shaped and decorated to simulate a chest of drawers and each lid was decorated with a different nursery rhyme by the artist / illustrator Walter Savage Cooper 1863 / 1943. This example has a picture to the top of the lid entitled "There was a little man and he had a little gun", the underside of the lid has a panel detailing "Huntley & Palmer Biscuit Reading & London" and "Copyright Nursery Rhymes" and the underside of the base has the Royal Doulton Mark and the registration number for the years 1905 / 1906. Some rubbing to the green lines to the top rim of the body section consistent with general use, otherwise in mint condition with no chips or blemishes and complete. Why not collect all twelve for I have only ever seen three different.

Spiked Gate Guard
Original, quality 19th century blacksmith made wrought iron security mount for over a gate to prevent unwanted visitors. This superb work of art has a curved shallow arch form with mounting plates at each end with three screw holes to each and 26 square spikes looking very serious. Complete and in good order.

8" Minton Pictorial Tile
Original, quality 1920's, superb 8" glazed pictorial tile embossed to the reverse for the manufacturer "Mintons China Works, Stoke-on-Trent" and "Made in England". This larger than average tile is one of a set of 12 produced by Mintons and designed by J Moyr Smith depicting various scenes from Sir Walter Scott's novels, this one entitled "Fair Maid of Perth" and the scene "Bonthron Accuses Rothsay". Complete and perfect.

Pair of Huge Octagonal Door Handles
Original, quality pair of late 19th century larger than average superb cast pink brass octagonal shaped door handles with the original matching backplates, a square bar to fit standard mortice locks and latches. Some knocks and scuffs consistent with use and some old screw holes drilled rather badly, now filled and patched. All is now complete and in good and working order and ideal for a huge front door.

Double Inkwell Stand
Original, quality circa 1900, decorative cast brass inkstand ( Standish ) with a pen rest and a pair of cut glass square inkwells. The stand is highly embossed with acanthus leaf designs and has four bracket feet and the pair of inks have brass collars and hinges and are perfect with no chips or blemishes. All has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. A very, very clean example of a very usable inkwell set. Complete and in good and working order. The pen in picture is not included and is for show only.

Cast Iron Dinosaur Nutcracker
Original, quality large cast iron table top nutcracker in the form of a dinosaur in the original bronzed finish. This very clean example is operated by lifting the tail to expose the open jaws for the nut to be inserted before pressing down the tail. The ridge spines are stamped with the registration number for the year 1939. Cleaned and complete and in good and working order. 1

49 Pieces of Flow Blue on White Ceramic Part Dinner Service
Original, quality forty-nine pieces of late 19th century 'Flow' blue part dinner service in a stunning Art Noveau "Oxford" pattern and manufactured by "Ford & Sons Burslem". All items of this incomplete set are perfect but for some minor crazing to three plates. The forty-nine pieces consist of 10 soup bowls, 11 dinner plates, 11 dessert plates, 10 dessert bowls, 2 small oval platters, 1 large tureen with stand and lid and 1 small tureen with stand but no lid. A few other matching pieces but all damaged may well be available free of charge.

Pair of WT&S Brass Candlesticks
Original, quality late 19th century pair of cast brass candlesticks of an unusual form, with pierced decoration of flowers, vines, acanthus leaves and faces of a bearded mythical character. The lift out sconces to the top are impressed "Protected" and the undersides of the candlestick bases are impressed with the sun logo and "WT&S" for the manufacturer 'William Tonks & Son of Birmingham' and with the registration number for the year 1888. All has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and are complete and in good and working order.

Benson Copper and Brass Teapot
Original, quality serious Art and Crafts copper and brass teapot circa 1880 / 1900, designed and manufactured by WAS Benson. This super example has a "genie lamp" shape with a copper body and cast brass spout, loop handle, circular base and circular lid with a turned horn finial grip. There is no doubt this was manufactured by Benson, although it is not marked as such. Apart from a minor dent to one side on the upper rim, all is complete and in good and working order and has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost.

Benson Copper Tray and Tea Set
Original, quality, circa 1880 / 1900, copper tea tray and four piece tea set of an unusual form, designed by W.A.S. Benson in the Art and Crafts manner. This super oval tray with a soft gallery and rolled over ends to act as handles is stamped to the underside "W.A.S Benson", Although the rest of set is not; he was known not to mark everything. This tea set is well illustrated in reference works published on Benson & Co. The teapot and milk jug have brass pouring lips and handles and the copper lid of the teapot has a knob turned in cowhorn always associated with Benson. All has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and is complete and in good and working order, with no dents or damage to be seen.

Hanging Bowl Light Fitting
Original, quality 1920's hanging bowl electric light with replacement chrome on brass fittings comprising three hooks to the sides of the bowl, three chains, ceiling rose and a new bulbholder wired with new three core white silk covered flex. This super shade has a hand painted under glaze scene of a parakeet on branches with berries and pine needle leaves. This brightly coloured scene is repeated three times and looks amazing lit up. The chrome fittings have been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. Fully overhauled and complete and in good and working order. A most unusual decoration.

White Enamelled Shop Counter Scales
Original, quality 1930's / 40's grocer's shop counter scales with the large fan shaped weight and price windows to the back and front. Tea Blenders Scale
Original, quality 1920's unused brass tea blender's beam scale in the original lacquered finish and in the original oak box. All is in mint condition as the day is was issued. The label to the inside of the lid is for the manufacturer "H.G Planer & Co of 16 Mincing Lane London EC3". The scale is truly in mint condition with green silk ropes, black silk top grip, original lacquer finish and the counterbalance weight. Complete and in good and working order.

Farmers Fire and Life Firemark
Original, quality mid to late 19th century pressed copper insurance firemark, recently mounted on an oak backboard made to suit. This super example is in the original green patinated colour but rather thin and frail in places, hence the fresh backboard. A well detailed firemark nevertheless with a sheaf of corn to the centre and swags and banner around.

Art Nouveau Brass Interior Electric Bell Push
Original, quality, unused pressed brass interior electric bell push in a serious Art Nouveau design. The circular cast brass bell push is mounted on the backplate which has four screw holes for fixing. This backplate has deep relief forms of styalised poppy seed heads with stems and leaves and the reverse is stamped with the registration number for the year 1904. All has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. Fully overhauled, complete and in good and working order.

Original, quality late 19th century oil fired vehicle side lamp for a fire engine. This super example, manufactured by 'Shand and Mason', is totally complete and in good and working order. All has been fully overhauled, the metalwork painted gloss red and the brass mounts polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. The brass label to the top details "Shand Mason and Co Fire Engine makers Upper Ground St Blackfriars Road London" , the two bevelled glass panels are intact and the burner has a locking spring, brass mounts and a slide off reflector. A really good example and complete.
