Original, quality, late 19th century, Swiss 'Black Forest' carved wood, wall mounted hat and coatrack. This superb all wood example has a Chamois head and neck to the centre, with oak leaves and branches behind and beneath, incorporating a hanging loop to the top and three pegs to the front. All is realistically carved, with the horns painted black and the original glass eyes. Quite the best I have seen for a while. Some good repairs to the tips of some oak leaves and the horns. Now complete and in good order. A delicate but sturdy and usable hat and coatrack.

Original, quality circa 1900 / 1920's light oak roll top desk with a fitted interior and an 'S' tambour front. All is mounted on twin pedestals with a wide drawer between over the knee space and a modesty back panel. Will unscrew easily into five sections plus a few smaller pieces. The interior has many pigeon holes, two small drawers and pull out pen racks. Each pedestal mounted on casters, has a deep filing drawer to the base, two standard drawers above and a pull out typewriter shelf. The tambour front has a lock and key and when rolled down it will lock automatically, the key is only required to open it. Cleaned and overhauled, the original finish enhanced and complete and in good and working order. A very very good example.

Original, quality late 19th century brass and oak magazine rack with five section dividers on a rectangular shaped, honey coloured oak base=board all "swivel" mounted on three curved legs. The central section doubles up as the carry handle and the underside is detailed for "Hall Birmingham" the manufacturer. The brass has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and all is complete and in good and working order. The best magazine rack we have seen for a while.

Original, quality pre-war 1930's heavy cast brass bell with the original cast brass internal clapper on a wrought iron stem with a plaited leather grip. The main body of this bell is embossed "Merryweather" for the well known maker of Fire Engines and related equipment. A super find with a good tone and resonance. Polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and complete and in good and working order.

Original, quality late 19th century all copper hot water urn in the form of a castle tower with simulated brickwork and a castellated top. This hard to find urn has a brass shield to the front detailing 'Bovril', the beef extract drink, two brass taps with turned ebony handles, two small lids to the top and mounted with three replacement brass ball feet. copied from an original. This example is the largest we have seen and although not marked as such was made by "J and H Banfill Copper Smiths and Urn Makers, Gervase St. Old Kent Road S.E." London. These urns were used on the counter or bar in the pub, café or hotel, to heat up water and pour into a mug or cup of Bovril extract and were stood on a stove or over a gas ring beforehand to boil the water. All has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and is complete and in good and working order.

Original, quality late 19th century tinsmith made churn shaped milk can with a brass label to the front, a brass swing over handle and a brass catch and hinge to the lid. The brass plaque is stamped "K. Messengers Tarlton" for either the Dairy who produced the milk or the person recieving the regular delivery of milk. The reverse is also stamped and this is for the manufacturer of the can "Dairy Supply Co Ltd, Museum Street London". The base has a good patch repair to a small hole and all has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and is complete and in good order. A most unusual shape and size the first we have seen.

This superb example has a large bowl with a turned stem riding within. A good repair has been made to an old split and now all is complete and in good and working order.

Original, quality late 19th century / circa 1900, tiny oval steel dairy can. As used on milk delivery prams and floats when delivering door to door, straight from the churn. I can only imagine this size was for a very, very small portion of cream or is it a manufacturer's sample size? This example has the standard brass wire swing handle to the top, a fixed loop to the reverse and a brass mount to the hinged lid. The front of the can is stamped "HS" and for the manufacturer "Dairy Sundries Co Sudbury Middx" and the lid "Smith". All has been cleaned and lacquered and is complete and in superb condition. This is the first of this tiny size we have seen and it could not be in better condition.

Original, quality late 19th century rectangular shaped cast iron water trough with mounts at each end and a curved base. This heavy trough is embossed to the side "Hexhams Brown of Exeter". An iron foundry who manufactured amongst many things, tannery equipment and machinery. This example is heavy but it does here a crack to the floor for 2 / 3rds of its length. So now ideal for a planter. The exterior and some of the interior has later paint. An unusual shaped trough with an unknown use ? .

Original, quality late 19th century interior electric bell press in the most unusual form of a well detailed cat's face in relief cast in pink brass. This superb example is only the second we have seen and is operated by pressing the tongue downwards. For use with a 12 volt, low voltage electric supply system. Other parts required to operate this system are usually available in stock and this example can be used externally if mounted with a mastic seal. The top of the head is stamped with the registration number for the year 1898. All has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost fully overhauled and complete and in good and working order.

Original, quality circular white small dinner plate detailing the "Derby Dale Pie" made in aid of the Huddersfield Royal Infirmary on 4th August 1928". The centre panel of this plate has a black line detail of a steaming pie and "Size 16 feet long, 5 feet wide and 15 inches deep". In super condition and colour and perfect. The underside is printed "H.G.D.D." for the manufacturer.

Original, quality 1920's all copper street lamp originally fitted to street lamp post and gas, but now fitted for electricity. This example has a hinged door to the front and a maker's plate detailing "William Sugg & Co Ltd, Westminster Patented Lamp" and the remains of an old green coat of paint. The new electric bulb holder and brass stem can be wired with exterior cable for no extra charge within reason. All has been re-glazed and all is now complete and in good and working order.

Original, quality buff coloured stoneware hot water filled hand warmer with the original screw in stopper and wire handle with wooden grip. The front of this super miniature hot water bottle is detailed in black transfer print "The adaptable hot water bottle for muff or pocket, made at the old Fulham Pottery", and with the registration number for the year 1904. Complete but with a faint hairline crack to the reverse, shown in picture.

Original, quality late 19th century oval shaped copper frying pan with a good long blacksmith made wrought iron handle, fixed to the pan with three hammered rivets. This super example will need re-tinning to the interior if wanted for cooking, otherwise all is complete and in good and working order but with no maker's name. The copper has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost.

These super examples have segmented shaped spherical knobs and the original engraved circular backplates each with four screw holes for mounting. An exceptional pair of door knobs of a good weight and quality.

Original, quality late 19th century single candlestick with a stag horn spike mounted with a silver plated candle holder with a decorative bracket, all mounted on a circular silver plated base. The underside is impressed for the maker Joseph Rodgers of Sheffield, the famous manufacturer of Cutlery of the highest standard.

Original, quality mid to late 19th century circular freeblown clear glass, cream setting pan as used in the dairy. This most unusual pan has a hollow blown rim, a pouring lip and a serious pontil to the underside. Lots of wear to the underside foot and scratches to the interior floor but no chips or cracks and complete and in good order. This is only the second example we have seen.

Original, quality late 19th century superb wedge shaped cheese dish with a highly decorated cover with a handle to the top. Both the cover and tray are transfer printed with the registered date for the year 1899 and the cover is detailed to each side with a different scene in coloured transfer. The top shows dairy maids milking a cow in the pasture, one side has a dairy maid in the dairy working a cheese press and the other dairy maids in the dairy pouring milk into setting pan. The front and back panels have designs. No cracks or chips, some fat stains to the tray and inside the cover but otherwise all complete and in good superb condition, with good clear coloured panels to the cover. A most unusual cheese dish only the third we have had.

Original, quality late 19th century Friendly Society brass finial from Monkton in the country of Somerset. This example has a turned and shaped stem surmounted with a ball with a crown on top. Some dents to the ball but otherwise all in good order generally. Polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and mounted on a good Bakelite plinth for display.

Brass finial 9.25" plus 1.75" widest.

Original, quality late 19th century all brass postal balance with the original matching set of weights on the original serpentine fronted mahogany base with four bun feet. The scales are impressed for the maker "S. Mordan & Co London" and the weights are the complete stack required for the postage rates of the time and are marked "16/P", "8/P", "4/P" and "2/P". The brass weights marked with "P" as these refer to postages of half ounce units used from 1840 to 1871. All has been fully overhauled, polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and is complete and in good and working order.

Original, quality copper wall mounted hall rack circa 1900, with a shield shaped mirror to the centre of a decorative pressed sheet copper mount in a serious Art Nouveau style. The copper backplate has a shelf to the lower section and two copper backed brushes hanging on hooks each side of the mirror. One brush is embossed 'hat'. All is mounted on a shield shaped ebonised elm backboard, with a hanging ring to the top for wall mounting. The copper has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and all is complete and in good and working order.

Original, quality early to mid 19th century, all copper rectangular shaped kettle, with a tap to the front and handle over with the original tall stand, with side loop handles and four fancy cast copper feet, to take the cast iron heating block in its own basket. The idea was to heat the block in the fire or oven then place it beneath the previously boiled water in the kettle, this would keep the kettle and contents warm for a longer period. This most unusual item is the first we have seen and although some very, very minor parts of the pierced decoration are missing to the stand, all is complete and in good order otherwise. All has been fully overhauled, polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. The finial to the tap is in black ceramic.

Original, quality late 19th century continental cast brass inkstand with very detailed decoration in a Gothic style. The two inkwells are mounted on a rectangular shaped stand with a carry handle over the top and pen trays between. The hinged lids of the inks have fancy finials, the central handle has lizard or gargoyle shaped mounts as pen rests, the end handles have acanthus leaf grips and the feet are mythical beasts. All is profusely decorated with pierced detail of the greatest quality overall a stunning if not even an over the top detailed cast brass inkstand. Polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and complete and in good and working order with the original matt gilt finish to the underside.

The upper section is impressed "Arnold and Sons London". All has been cleaned and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and is complete and in good order.

Original, quality circa 1900 / 1920's shop display advertising mirror, in the original mahogany frame and with the original ply backing board. The front is detailed for "Fry's Chocolate" around a Royal Coat of Arms and by appointment underneath. Also etched to the lower edge "This is the property of J.S Fry & Sons Ltd, Bristol & London". The plywood backing board has signs of worm but has been well treated and can be removed if you wish. It also has the original printed detail for the manufacturer / supplier of the mirror "OC Hankes Ltd Birmingham" and the original paper label of J.S Fry & Sons Ltd. Some minor blemishes to the mirror glass and some minor scratches to the edges of the glass, otherwise a good clean mirror and complete and in good order.

Pair of original, quality late 19th century superb small copper fire engine side lamps, with brass fittings, the original oil reservoirs and burner and large brass makers plates to the top detailing "Merryweather and Sons, Fire Engine Makers Long Acre London" and with the Royal Coat of Arms. The only apparent alteration from all being totally original is that the burners are a little different, one wire ring handle on the oil tank has been replaced, and there is a very minuscule chip to one glass. All has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. Otherwise all is original, in good order and complete and in working order.

Original, quality 1920's Brown Trout mounted in a bow fronted glazed case by J. Cooper & Sons. This super mount has all the quality and realism as expected from one the best, if not the best taxidermist specialising in fish. A handsome fish in a lifelike mount with realistic groundwork and with a good label to the interior detailing "Preserved by J.Cooper & Sons, 28 Radnor St, St Luke London E.C", an early address for Cooper: The exterior of the case has been cleaned and repainted black and the original wire loop is fixed to the reverse for wall mounting if required.

Original, quality 1920's double sided very clean enamel advertising sign, detailing to both sides "Use Royal Daylight Oil for Lighting, Heating and Cooking". The mounting flange with four holes is printed "Protector Eccles 12.23" for the sign manufacturer and the year Dec 1923. A good clean sign with some minor chips and damage but otherwise complete and in good order, with a good colour of black upper cased text on pale blue.

Original, quality late 19th century counter shop display cabinet in mahogany with a sloping glazed front, a hinged drop down back panel with a white glass ( vitrolite ) panel and a glazed top pediment detailing "Pascalls Confections" in mirrored text. A replacement sliding glass shelf has been fitted and the original enamelled cabinet maker's plate has been retained detailing "O.C Hawkes Ltd manufacturer Globe Works Birmingham". All is complete and in good and working order and is the first we have seen of this model.

Original, quality late 19th century circular ceramic salad bowl with a silver plated rim and the original pair of salad servers. This superb example has coloured transfer detail of seaweeds to the inside and outside of the bowl, and three realistic red lobsters as the feet and the servers have 'lobster' claws as the handles. The underside of the bowl has an embossed registration lozenge mark for the years 1842 to 1883 and is impressed Wedgwood for the manufacturer. The silver plating to the top rim is worn in places otherwise all is complete and in good order and a very unusual item.

Original, quality 1920's brass trumpet shaped motor car or motorcycle horn complete with a replacement rubber bulb. This example marked "Patented" has the logo badge for the manufacturer "Lucas King of the Road" and "No 60". Some minor dents to the horn and the grille, otherwise complete and in good and working order with a good loud sound. The brass has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost.

Original, quality superb and very hard to find Spratt's pet food vertical enamel sign detailing four skeletal type animals each drawn from the word 'Spratts', a Scottie dog, a cat, a canary and a fish. The figures are in black on a cream background with a turned down rim. This example has four screw holes for mounting and a few minor chips, otherwise in super condition and complete.

Original, brown paper wrapped parcel of Elephant Hairs, circa 1900 / 1920's with most of the original parcel tag detailing "Rowland Ward Ltd Naturalists The Jungle Piccadilly London", with a line drawing of a Rhinoceros with skeleton details and "Elephant Hairs" in pencil. The reverse has the delivery address "John Todd Esq. Mereside, Bromfield Cumberland. I have not opened this parcel, not wanting to spoil it, but one can see elephant hairs at one end.

Pair of original, quality 1920's copper and brass candlesticks, designed by W.A.S Benson, in the typical Arts and Crafts form from this designer. These are not stamped for this maker but have all the other signs and were originally nickel plated. The slender turned stems are mounted with a simple tripod base and mounted to the top with a cast brass candle sconce surrounded, by five leaf like petals in sheet copper. Polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and complete and in good and working order.

6.5" tall.

Original, quality post-war mint condition chromed motor car badge with the front decorated in blues, white and green enamel, with not a chip in sight. The front depicts a light aircraft over the sea with cliffs, probably the white cliffs of Dover, and "South Coast Flying Club" with the logo. The reverse is impressed '11' perhaps for the membership number. All in super condition with a steel nut and bracket and complete and in good order.
