Original, quality, late 19th century, very decorative cast brass door porter, with designs in deep relief of acanthus leaves with a loop grip to the top and a cast iron counterbalance weight behind. The reverse has the registration lozenge mark for the year 1862 and "WT&S" for the manufacturer William Tonks and Sons of Birmingham. All has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. Complete and in good and working order. A serious door porter.

Original, quality 1920's brass electric desk/reading lamp with the original green and white enamelled trough shade. This super example has a circular base with a heavy cast iron weight beneath and is adjustable back and forward using the large wing nut. The shade is also movable to increase the brightness by distance. All has been rewired with modern three core silk covered flex a three pin plug, and a pull cord switched bulb holder to take a standard Edison screw bulb. All has been fully overhauled, polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and is complete and in good and working order.

Trough shade 10.5" x 4.75" base plus 6.75" diam.

Original, quality art nouveau style wall mounted "banjo" barometer, in a honey coloured oak case with a good art nouveau shape, with two fretted decorations. The circular guage has a white ceramic dial detailed in red and black calibrations, a good cast brass bezel and is marked for "Douglas Stourbridge" for the maker / retailer.The thermometer above, in its own glazed case is again calibrated in red and black and beneath is an engraved brass presentation plaque detailing "Presented to Mr E.H Billingham by the vicar, church wardens, organist and choristers of St Johns Church Stourbridge, on the occasion of his marriage August 3rd 1912". A very clean example in good and working order and fully overhauled and with the brass polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost.

Original, quality Candlestick Telephone, with a bakelite mouthpiece and cover to the earphone. The dial version of the candlestick telephone was introduced in the early 1920's and were phased out in the late 1930's. During the current restoration and conversion this telephone has been completely disassembled and cleaned, some parts and the cords have been renewed, and full details of the work carried out, with a list of replacement parts fitted is included with this item, as well as photos of before and after restoration. All is now complete and in good and working order.

Original, superb matching set of all brass fender fire dogs and fire irons, stamped with the registration number for the year 1905. This six piece set in a good Art and Nouveau style has matching finials to the fender dogs and grips on the fire irons. The shovel has a pierced spade end and the poker a tapered steel tip. Apart from some minor dents to the fender, All is complete and in good and working order. All has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. Grate to find a matching set as good as these.

Original, quality, very large, thick moulded opalescent coloured glass light bowl, circa 1901, with an embossed design of acanthus leaves to the centre and oak leaves to the outer edge. This bowl, manufactured by Jefferson of Canada for the UK market, has the original brass fittings in the original bronzed finish, the roseattes are in the form of goats heads with three lengths of chain suspended from the top mount. A replacement bronzed ceiling rose is included as is a further short length of bronzed chain and a new bulb holder wired with a new silk covered three core flex. A superb electric light fitting, probably the best Jefferson we have seen. Complete and in good and working order.

One is marked " Verdun " in 0.75" tall text and the other " Reims ". The undersides are stamped 1917 to both and with other letters and numbers, " Polte ", Magdeburg ", Karlsruhe ". All has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and are in good order.

Original, quality late 19th century, cast church or chapel bell, with the original blacksmith made wrought iron internal clapper. The outer flared rim is embossed "J. Warner and Sons London 1869", for the bell founder and all is in the unpolished and weathered green patina. The top mount has three cast loops for suspending the bell, A very loud bell, with a good tone and good resonance.

Original, quality 1920 's hanging electric light fitting with a white glass upper bell shaped section and a shallow saucer-shaped frosted glass lower section both held together with a clip on brass band, with vented holes around. This band is impressed with a registration number for the year 1922, the top shade holder is also vented. Rewired with modern three core silk covered flex and a new brass UK bulb holder. Fully overhauled and polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. Each light fitting has the original brass ceiling rose and a length of replacement brass chain. Complete and in good and working order.

Original, quality, late 19th Century, ceramic, vase shaped oil lamp of British manufacture, in the Moorish style with a highly decorated and colourful ceramic body and cover to the lift out brass oil reservior. The square, cast brass pedestal is decorated in relief and stands on four feet, mounted with mythical creature heads. The brass burner is of the best quality, with a key twist action to raise both the globe and chimney, permitting the lamp to be lit without removing the globe or chimney. The wick control has a black porcelain insert detailing the manufacturer: 'Hinks's Duplex Patent' and the double wheel control will adjust each of the two 1" wicks independently. The main ceramic body is transfer printed to the inside in blue detailing 'Patent' and ? and what appears to be 'Istanbul', also a paper label is affixed and details: 'Des. No 340' and '32/6'. All is completely original and has been fully overhauled and is complete and in good and working order, the brass polished and lacquered. The shade is not included in the price and is no longer available. A very unusual and superb oil lamp. The lacquer can be removed upon request, at no extra cost.

Original, quality, late 19th century, etched yellow tinted glass oil lamp shade to fit a standard duplex double burner and gallery. The etched detail of flowers, leaves and swallows in flight is repeated in the four panels. The body has a bold diagonal twist to the wavy top rim and the yellow colour is strongest at the top fading toward the base. All is complete and in good order.

Original, quality flow blue transfer on white commemorative beaker issued to celebrate Queen Victoria's 60 years on the Throne, Jubilee. The front view has Queen Victoria on the Throne and the reverse "The Royal Coat of Arms" with text beneath. The underside is detailed "Victoria R.I Diamond Jubilee, Doulton Burslem" and with the registration number of the year 1897. All is perfect and this is the first we have seen of this example.

Original, quality, mid 19th Century, cast brass wall bracket for a clockwork spit (bottlejack). This larger and heavier than average bracket has a well pierced cast pink brass backplate, with matching detail on the swinging arm and cast yellow brass hinge mounts, sliding hook and heart shaped end stop. The backplate has four countersunk screw holes for mounting onto the mantelshelf above the fire to suspend the clockwork spit and meat, allowing it to cook in front of the fire. All has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed if required at no extra cost. Complete and in good and working order.

In good order, but not suitable for use.

Pair of original, quality late 19th century clear glass urn-shaped, whisky dispensers in superb condition. This matching pair has the original knopped and faceted clear glass covers / lids, a very similar pair of brass taps and are both etched and gilded with "Special Irish Whisky" to one and "Pale Brandy" to the other. Several very minor chips to both the bases, otherwise all is perfect, with the tap polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. These were originally used on pub or hotel bar tops or bar backs and are very hard to find today in good condition, and these are the best I have seen for some years.

Rewired with modern three core silk covered flex and new brass UK bulb holders, and polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. A most elegant light fitting, these are getting harder and harder to find.

Huge original, quality solid oak, roll top desk circa 1900 / 1920's with twin pedestals and a fully fitted interior. The left pedestal has four drawers and a pull out typist's shelf above and the right one has three drawers, the lowest being double in depth and with a second pull out typist's shelf. When the tambour fronted shutter is down and the key in the lock turned, all the drawers and the roll will be locked together. The interior has many small shelves, twelve pull out drawers and two concealed pull out pen trays. Nine drawers have the original brass label frames which have been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. This superb piece of furniture is in the original finish and is panelled to both the sides and back. The bar above your knees, when sat at the desk, is a replacement made to suit, as are the two pull out typist's shelves. A good colour throughout and very well above average interior. Each pedestal has concealed casters to the underneath and all will dismantle into five sections for ease of removal.

Set of thirteen original, quality, matching brass stair carpet rods, circa 1900, of an unusual form with bold trefoil finials and the original hinged cast brass mounting clips. Originally these were nickel plated which can now only be seen to the underside. These are the first we have had with this shaped rod, and can be shortened, at no extra cost and look no different, if required. One replacement clip and finial have been made to suit and now all is complete and in good and working order. Polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed if required at no extra cost. Of great quality and gauge.

Original, quality late 19th century set of seven circular weights, six in cast iron and the smallest in brass. This superb set is decorated with an embossed design to the outer rims each with the weights "4Ib 2Ib 1Ib 8oz 4oz and 2oz" and "AK and Sons", and the brass one is impressed "1oz " and "Kenrick". These are the most decorated set produced by A Kenrick and Sons of West Bromwich, are in wonderful condition and have been cleaned and lacquered. Hard to find these in a complete set.

Original, quality late 19th century set of cast iron grocer's or butche's shop counter scales, for weighing cold meats and dairy products with a later very clean set of 8 Avery brass weights from 2lbs down to ¼ ounce. The shaped cast iron base is embossed for the manufacturer " Walker Bristol " and the white ceramic slab has a marbled effect and is detailed also for the manufacturer " H Walker Scale Maker Bristol ". The iron work has been cleaned and lacquered and the weights and brass pan polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost, all has been fully overhauled. The ceramic slab has some grease stains and crazing to the finish but with no chips or cracks, all is complete and in good and working order.

Original, quality late 19th century large brass dinner gong for the table or sideboard. This most unusual example has a square tube frame with a rectangular shaped brass gong suspended within. All is mounted on a honey coloured oak plinth with four brass bun feet. An old beater is hung to one side, the gong has a textured front, and the oak plinth is impressed with the sun logo and "WT&S" for the manufacturer William Tonks & Son, of Birmingham. All has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and although there are some dents to the top of the frame, all is complete and in good and working order, otherwise with a super tone and resonance.

The sheet copper panels to the front have a deep embossed stylised poppy seed heads motifs to the centre, and the blacksmith made wrought iron supports are simple in form with curled over feet. All has been cleaned, polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and are complete and in good and working order. A great pair of dogs.

Original, quality huge copper and Bakelite electric fuse from the "London Battersea Power Station". This famous power station was built in the 1930's and ceased producing electricty in 1983, and these fuses became obsolete. One end is impressed "563" and the other "OC10" and "6.6 KV 60A". Polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and appears complete and in good order.

Original, quality, late 19th century, brass counter bell, sideways mounted on a honey coloured oak base, within a cast brass frame supporting two clappers, one to either side. These bells were used on shop or hotel counters and hall tables, and can be sounded by depressing one or both of the side hammers. An unusual example with four brass ball feet to the underside and an original paper label referring to a retailer in Paris. This table/counter bell was manufactured in England and has obviously been supplied to the retailer in Paris. A very unusual example.

Original, quality, late 19th century superb, all brass fireman's helmet, with the original leather skullcap and replacement leather to the chin strap, copied from an original. The small brass buckle is also a replacement, but all the other brass fittings, including the chinstrap chain, are original. This example has a nameplate under the neck guard detailing the maker / supplier "Merryweather and Sons Fireman's Outfitters London". This model was introduced in 1866, with the formation of the "Metropolitan Fire Brigade", which replaced the "London Fire Engine Establishment" maintained by insurance companies. This style remained in general use throughout the UK until the 1920's and those with the crossed axes badge were used by municipal, volunteers and industrial brigades. Some very minor dents, but otherwise all is in super condition and complete and has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. These helmets are not easy to find today in as good condition. The stand is for display only.

Original, quality late 19th century white ceramic barrel shaped spirit dispenser, for the bar back in a pub or hotel or for the sideboard at home. This unusually small example has the original ceramic cover and has an aperture to the base at the front for a small brass tap. The front is decorated with gilded bands, ' Sherry ' in gilded upper case letters and a coloured picture of a highland stag between a fir tree and sprigs of heather. Apart from some rubbing to the gilding all is complete and in good and working order.

This delightful rack has three countersunk screw holes for mounting and the original paintwork. It is not marked for Musgrave the smaller items often were not, but this is definitely Musgraves of Belfast quality. Complete and in good and working order.

Original, quality, late 19th century, brass and copper paraffin fueled horse singe. The main brass barrel will unscrew to gain access for filling and the tap controls the flow of fuel to the wick (missing in this example) inside the decorated copper attachment. The tap is stamped "SH" and "Co" for the maker and apart from the missing wick, all is complete and in good order. All has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost.

Original, quality 1920's, brown glazed stoneware footwarmer / hot water bottle in the realistic form of a leather gladstone bag. This super example has a leather strap handle and a screw in stopper in black composition and is transfer printed to one side "B.E.D." simulating the owners initials, faux stitching is detailed in relief around the edges. The underside is detailed for the manufacturer "Bourne Denby England" and with the registration number for the year 1920. One small soft chip to the area with the steel ring handle support, otherwise all is complete and in superb condition.
